  1. Any opinions (or - I can dream - evidence based research) on whether it makes a difference in storing consoles to keep a cartridge in or out? I'm talking medium to long term. Sometimes a console may go into one of my plastic storage bins and doesn't get played for a year or longer. I always keep a cartridge in place, but would it be better (for the console or the cart) to not do so?
  2. Want to buy a picture of someone else playing Atari? Well now you can: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/cs0479-Vintage-Color-photo-set-lot-of-2-men-kick-back-play-atari-video-game-/252310313433?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276 (I wonder what the legality is here. What happens if those two guys happen to stumble upon this auction, assuming this picture was found at a Garage Sale etc)
  3. Weird, I've almost never had any problems with commodore computers. I must have had a dozen C64 and half a dozen Vic 20s over the years, and I think one each wasn't functional or had issues. And some of these have been at the bottom of a grimy box marked $5 for junk at garage sales.
  4. Red blue green is likely component video - I don't know of an easy way to get from the C64 to component... there may be adapters for sale online?
  5. And another thumbs up from me - items arrived well packed and as described.
  6. Free bump for a good seller - got my package today and all as described. Thanks!
  7. Great video - the Interton was my first video game console. Still have it boxed and five cartridges (#1, 3, 4, 7, 19).
  8. I was just thinking of him the other day and was going to ask the same question. I hope he is healthy and happy, wherever he is.
  9. Atari ST version (not listed) hands down. Or does it not count since it was released much later?
  10. Free bump and Thumbs Up for a great seller! Purchased two games, arrived safe and sound and in great shape.
  11. My guess is many are in the same position as you, wanting a monitor that does both PAL and NTSC (that's what I'm after, hoping to luck out and find a 20" PVM locally)
  12. Free bump and thumbs up from me. Bought a couple of games, everything went smoothly, easy to deal with, games arrived well packaged.
  13. Just checked on shipping to the UK, that would be $26 surface (slow! takes 2 months) or $60 airmail (!!!). (disks weigh almost 2kg)
  14. Hello, I have a stack of about 80 5-1/4 disks. They had come with various C64 setups that I acquired over the years and are filled with games (often multiple games each disk), but since getting an Ultimate 1541-II, I've had no real need for them. I'd rather not format each one of them, but would also be willing to consider that if it would be required in order to sell them as blanks. Hopefully somebody can find use in these - make me an offer? (I'm in Canada - shipping within Canada would be about $16, to the US about $29)
  15. I will be in Europe (Luxembourg) for a short time later this month, and would like to take the opportunity to grab a PAL C-64 while I'm there and save on shipping. I'm looking for a breadbin model C64, working well and fully tested. No power supply is needed, just the computer and video cables. If you can help, please PM with price (including shipping to Lux). Thanks!
  16. Atari STs are definitely a harder sell - far fewer people would be interested in them than other systems. I guess it depends on how large the community in your area is. As a result, it basically comes down to whatever someone is willing to offer. If I didn't already have a similar setup (and was local to you), I'd probably offer you in the $50-$100 range for the lot. Maybe put a price of $100 on it and then accept slightly lower counter offers?
  17. Still down ... anyone have any info?
