  1. Hi all, I'm looking for a boxed version of Jumpman that matches the "main" US releases (not the original version with b/w screenshots on back). This is the version I'm after: http://www.c64sets.com/details.html?id=51 If you have one, please let me know! Thanks, Patrick
  2. This was great (except for the Halo bit, which I thought went on too long) - thanks for sharing, that made my morning!
  3. Oldschool bought a box of misc Atari and Commodore items - easy communications, all went well. Recommended!
  4. And they're gone - thanks! Glad they found a home so quickly.
  5. Hi all, I have no need for these, but would rather not throw them out/recycle them. Let me send them to you! All I ask is shipping (+a the price of cup of coffee, maybe): $20 within Canada, $35 to the US (sorry - it's heavy!). For Canadians I can also throw in a stack of old RUN and Compute magazines without extra shipping charges... however these are not in great shape with pages missing here and there (I used to cut out game adds). If you don't want these, no problem, of course... they are easily recycled. Let me know?
  6. Very exciting, glad this is going forward. I had Pmed you ages ago, but just in case, pleae put me down for a CIB copy!
  7. Love it! Currently playing Vector Pilot, which is all kinds of awesome. Other favs are Fortress of Narzod and Protector. Still looking for a reasonably priced (yeah right!) boxed Star Castle and Pole Position.
  8. Last bump before ebay. Only 8 Vic 20 carts left, and price reduced on the VC 1020. Edit: VC 1020 now sold. 8 Vic 20 cards remain.
  9. Hi all, I am selling two Vic 20 related items. First Item is the rare VC 1020 Expansion Chassis. I tested it and it seems to work fine, see pictures of a Vic 20 plugged in and running GORF. The Vic 20 is not included. Asking $100 shipped within Canada, $115 shipped to the US. Second Item is a lot of Vic 20 carts (I have the Megacart, hence no real need for them). These are untested. Gridrunner, Shamus, Dig Dug, Crossfire (x2), Sky Blazer, Sea Fox, Star Battle, Omega Race, Atlantis, In the Chips, Pipes, Choplifter, 8K Ram Cart, Garden Wars (x2), Radar Rat Race (x2), Pin Ball, Avenger, Clowns, Commodore Artist, Mission Impossible, Slot, Alien, Visible Solar System (x2), Gorf, Super Expander with 3K Ram Cart. Only 8 carts remain. Asking $40 shipped to Canada and $50 shipped to US for the remaining log. Patrick
  10. Hello - I'm curious what sort of interest there might be in this Atari Lynx development kit (and what a reasonable price would be). It belongs to my brother, who worked with it in the 90s, and it may be time to move it to someone who may enjoy it more. So far I've only located the machine and attachement, and the big manual/binder. I believe there were disks as well (3-1/2" for Amiga), although the Amiga 2000 that was used during development was damaged some years back (110V machine jammed into a 220V outlet - not by us! - ouch!). The lynx itself is untested as of now - I'm not sure how much if any I could test without the Amiga. Pictures attached. Note that I may be slow to reply (on the road).
  11. What? An "abridged" version of the title music? It's exactly the same title music, every single note is there. The frequencies of each and every note were taken from the actual SID values from the C64 version. Oh, no, that's my bad. I was sure there was a different interlude that played after repeats of the main theme (like an AABA structure), but I just listened to the original C64 version again, and you're (of course) absolutely right. I must have been thinking of one of the zillion remakes of the theme. Albert, if it's possible to change "an abridged version of the" to "the entire", that would be great.
  12. Oooo... that looks nice, too. Maybe a little later (assuming it works on NTSC)
  13. This is "a propos of nothing", but besides hopefully getting my Boulder Dash soon, I've also finally bit and grabbed Zaku for the Lynx and Vector Pilot for the Vectrex. My paypal account is hurting a little, but July should be a homebrewy fun month!
  14. By Sega: Star Trek and Buck Rogers (kinda sorta, the pilot was shown theatrically in Europe). Tigervision: King Kong
  15. HERO and Pitfall for the 2600... probably around 1984? Then nothing for a while. In the early 90s we'd sometimes rent a SNES and a few games for a weekend and then played the heck out of them non-stop, just to make sure we got our money's worth. I think our first weekend rental was Super Castlevania IV and Super Contra 3. We actually beat Castlevania, and came close in Contra. I think the last time I rented a game was Rogue Squadron for the Gamecube.
  16. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to peek at the Swap Shop for sure... Arcade Odyssey is a classic Arcade setup by a fellow AA member... see here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/170532-ccatalyst-gameroom-collection/
  17. Hi all, I'm heading to Florida (Ft Lauderdale area) for a family visit and vacation. I know Arcade Odyssey is close, and I definitely am planning on a visit, but I'm curious if anyone has any other tips for other good spots to visit - Fleamarkets, Retro Game stores, etc. Thanks!
  18. I loved Shamus as a kid (on the C64). Only recently played the other versions - the Vic 20 version is pretty good. The Atari XL version is probably the best (not as pretty as the C64, but much more playable). The less said about the Gameboy version, the better.
  19. I remember a few years back passing on a complete copy at $80 because I "thought it was too expensive". D'oh. Still looking for a complete copy - hoping I might get one in that range by luck (or someone's goodwill).
  20. Free bump and a "thumbs up" for Jerry - he was great to deal with and everything was just as described.
  21. (Oops, sorry, didn't realize this was in the INTV subforum.... I thought it was in Classic Gaming general. My bad).
  22. The flood of Synapse titles have been impressive. I thought it was limited to just Blue Max/Pharaoh's Curse/Fort Apocalypse/Shamus/Drelbs for the longest time, but now previously "rare" titles are even showing up (and selling for $10-$20 each), like "Shamus Case II", "Survivor" and "Necromancer". I haven't spent crazy amounts on my little Synapse collection, but I definitely would have saved a lot had I waited until after these floodgates opened.
  23. Lovely collection. Input 64 - that brings me back! (I actually never owned an issue, but always saw them in magazine stores) What's up with that C64 with the knobs? Whatever it is, I want one.
  24. I have a Brazillian (I think) CIB release, the one in the "hard plastic" box. Is the regular North American release in a cardboard Imagic box?
