I'll watch football sometimes - but only by recording the game on my DVR so I can skip through the boring parts and commercials.

Instead of wasting hours, I can be done in 15-20 minutes for a good game. Under 5 for a bad one.

Pro football has become incredibly boring. The players are just there to collect paychecks. At least in college they're actually interested in playing the game.

I thought he meant they force sports on you, not that you have to watch it. The show or shows you set up to record are tossed somewhere around 2 o'clock in the morning if you're lucky and pushed off to another day if you're not. If your DVR is smart enough to record the moved show, you'll probably end up missing at least 20 minutes of it. Sure, you can wait 8 days and watch it "on demand" where you can't fast forward through the commercials, but who wants to do tha...
