jd_1138 beat me to it.  I can still remember a teacher kind of laughing every time he said pull out yer Big Chief!   I'd take a guess that they don't sell that anymore? 

GoldLeader, Amazon still sells them.  Back when I was buying them in 1st and 2nd grade, the local general store in the small town sold them.  They had a small school supply section with Big Chief tablets for us little dudes, standard packs of paper for the bigger kids, #2 pencils, Bic ball points, Pee Chee folders, rulers, erasers.  

This store was around since like 1900 in that small Oklahoma town.  We'd go there for soda (ice cold out of a vintage ice chest) and one of those tough leathery strips of beef jerky in the glass container near the register.  This was 1979-1982 that we lived in that small town.
