  1. Totally agree with VGC's review of 2600 Double Dragon, but... cracks me up when people don't realize they're playing the PAL version of a game. Or post PAL pics in NTSC land. Hey, I see AA's screenshots show the PAL version of the same exact screenshot too... coincidence? Well, we know he didn't source the pic from Atarimania. They're all NTSC.  lol

So...No one else wants to admit this, but ...I don't remember this coming out for Atari haha!   Time to break out my Harmony cart...At least they did a fairly good job on Commando!

I remember in the early 90's, a coworker telling me she had Double Dragon for the 2600 BITD. I didn't believe her and thought she was mistaken. Fast forward to the late 90's when I found a copy or read about it online and yep, she was right! Funny how certain games like this (despite the fact I was shopping in stores that should have carried the game) eluded some of us for so long. The few remaining Atari retailers at the time must have been super picky about what they carried - but I remember said retailers selling all the blue label Activision re-runs. They had bulk stacks and games on rotating racks of all that late 80's stuff. Ghostbusters, River Raid II, etc. Just never saw Double Dragon for the VCS. 7800 for that matter.

From VGC: "It comes off as the kind of game somebody would program on a dare, yet Activision shipped it anyway!"
