  1. Walmart had some legit deals today. One I took advantage of was $15 for any LP. ANY! And for those that aren't in the know, all their stuff is the good 180g weight that never sells for that cheap.

That said, I think the coffee maker sounds like a good deal...And if you know what you're getting w/ regard to vinyl, well as they say, if you're happy, I'm happy.

Oh, I hear you about the censorship... but that's CD's and DVD's. Been sooooo long since I bought music there, but Walmart DVD's and Blu-ray's have a different UPC code than normal. Can use that to identify the difference. Walmart UPC is a sticker that's placed on the outside of the insert and directly on the case. Of course, if a person swaps cases, not sure if there are any other identifiers.

AFAIK, LP's are not affected by their censorship policy. And just read they won't carry albums that have what they deem offensive lyrics.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply not carry music from artists not living up to their standards? I wonder if Walmart is big enough to warrant custom engraved vinyls as I figure those would make the record quite more expensive.

Also most of the "new" LP's I've seen in regular supermarkets are re-releases of classic albums, rarely any new albums which may be destined for dedicated record stores, mail order through fan clubs and alike, which means if they're censoring profanity they can just choose to not carry new pressings of old albums that don't fit the bill.
