I'm just shy of 32 and didn't realize the Mario Party games were aimed at kids. They are really high quality, fun video board games and fail to see how they only pertain to kids.

I always thought it weird that the paddles had a stop and the driving controllers didn't. After all a steering wheel in a car has a stop on either end so shouldn't the driving controllers have it too? The paddles on the other hand probably don't need a stop.

The Nintendo Sticks with it thread made me think of this. I would like: 1. The next gen consoles to be compatible with their older brothers software (ala PS2 plays PS1). Especially the next Nintendo. I want an add on to play ALL of Nintendo older system carts and GC dvds. 2. I want all systems to come with 2 controllers right away. I want to play against my friends out of the box. 3. Paddles & woodgrain. 'nuff said 4. Built in memory for game saves on all systems. 5. More games using the lightgun for all of the systems. 6. It's fine by me if they all lose network capability, it doesn't interest me. Thoughts anyone?

It would be very cool if the next gen console played GC games as well. Hmm... Maybe I'll email them that suggestion.

I like to leave the price stickers on too. I have a Circus box someone paid $39.99 for Worth every penny!

Well the title says it all really. I'm looking for the maraca controllers for the DC with or without the Sambo CD. I would prefer real Sega maracas but would take 3rd party if that's all I can get. At the moment I don't have much to trade so I'll pay good old US currency for these.

A guess here. Is the VCS on a rug or carpet? Could it be static electricity? That might shock him and a good stsic charge might damage electrical components.

For which system do you have the most rare games?
joeybastard replied to Gregory DG's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Probably the CV. I have about 95% of the games for that system and I know some are rare. I would have to check the lists again to see exactly what I still need for a complete collection. -
Which games should they NEVER have tried to do on the 2600?
joeybastard replied to Room 34's topic in Atari 2600
Very true. I should have suggested Nukey write something that would prove his point. I'm officially letting this die and going back to topic Karate is unplayable, all Mythicon games are unplayable, and I can't get anywhere with Sea Hunt either. Evrytime I jump in the water the shark gets me. It's impossible. -
How do I take somebody off my ignore list?
joeybastard replied to joeybastard's topic in Site and Forum Feedback
Thanks Nukey! I went to reply to ZylonBane and hit ignore instead of quote. Freudian slip perhaps.... -
I hit it accidentally instead of quote and I don't know how to fix it. Thanks, Joey Bastard (probably the victim of many an ignore list!)

Which games should they NEVER have tried to do on the 2600?
joeybastard replied to Room 34's topic in Atari 2600
See, joeybastard? This is just what I'm talking about. OK but let's not make me a referee, I was just suggesting that you explain rather then immediately condemn what Nukey is saying. I would think the best way to solve this would be for either of you to build a demo of what you're arguing about. -
Communist Mutants from Outer Space #1 Starpath games ROCK! Demon Attack #2

joeybastard replied to Room 34's topic in Atari 2600
ZylonBane, Thanks, your explanation makes sense. -
Your question is a little vague here. There are NTSC versions, PAL versions, pirate carts, label variations, etc. If you just wanted all of the NTSC and didn't care about label variations or pirates, I'm guessing it's about 700 carts. I could be way off though, I'm sure somebody here knows a more accurate answer.

SuperAction Football (SOCCER) on the Colecovision
joeybastard replied to Mister VCS's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I actually like all of the Super Action Controller sports games although Soccer is the worst of them. I don't think it's that bad at all. -

Lighten up Francis, why the attitude on a friendly discussion? If Nukey is incorrect, explain why. -
That is ASTOUNDING! You should make a whole album of Atari music, I would definetely buy that. Keep up the amazing work

Most Fun Atari Football Game?
joeybastard replied to Gregory DG's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The best Atari Football is definetely X's and O's in the arcade. I think it's the best football game ever for any system or arcade version. As for the VCS, Super Football kicks ass for graphics, gameplay, and one player option. Super Challenge is next best, I played that for hours and hours with friends when it came out. SC Baseball too. -

Why do YOU collect Atari games?
joeybastard replied to Gregory DG's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I'm with you Inky. I collect to play and only care about the rarity second. Hence the reason I wouldn't buy the magic card/video life multicart people are fighting about over in the 2600 forum. In fact if I came across a real Magic Card cheap, I would sell it to finance the rest of my search for good games. -
What's the official Digital Press/CGE stance on this?
joeybastard replied to Super-Genius!'s topic in Atari 2600
This whole thing doesn't seem that complicated. 1. Mark makes cart he doesn't have the rights to. 2. The guys who claim to have the rights ask him to stop. He asks to see a copy of their rights. This is a reasonable request and they should fufill it. Therefore, if the rights are established as Sean/John's, Mark should not sell his carts. Any arguments about other multicarts are irrelavent to this argument. Another irrelavent point is that Mark still has excess inventory of the cart. That doesn't mean anything legally in the copyright argument. It breaks down to not being Sean/John's problem if Mark invested money in making something he wasn't legally entitled to. The whole part of the post about having his lawer look for the copyright and finding nothing doesn't entitle him to it legally. It means his lawyer stinks. In the end I don't think this is going to make any really serious amounts of money for anybody legally or not. I wouldn't buy it and I would doubt most gamers would, leaving only really hardcore collectors. If one of you or both of you sell it, nobody is going to make much or change the world in any way so I guess I'm saying, "Who cares?" -
Why do YOU collect Atari games?
joeybastard replied to Gregory DG's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I collect for a number of reasons: 1. I truly love these games and think they area ton of fun. I'm also amazed at what some of the programmers could get the VCS to do. 2. As a kid, I couldn't afford this stuff but dreamed of having it all. Now I can try to achieve that dream. 3. Also as a kid I wanted to be a game programmer for Atari. The idea of one man creating a whole game to be enjoyed by millions is very appealing to me. As an adult I soon realized I would never have the smarts or the patience for it, but I still dream of making my own game. -
The quest for games is an eternal search. I would suggest also checking out garage sales, thrift stores, and Goodwill shops in your area. These seem to have dried up a bit recently but sometimes it can be quite good resource. Good luck and welcome aboard!
