Ooooh I forgot Beamrider and Space Panic! 2 of my favs

The CV is in my top 3 favorite systems. I think I like just about every game (Even Cosmic Avenger although it's tough to like it) but here's my top ten in no particular order:
HERO
Jumpman JR
Frontline
Wargames (play 2 player using the roller controller and a stick keypad to pick the weapon - amazing!)
Destructor
Nova Blast
Squish 'Em Sam
Mr. Do
Rocky Battles the Champ
Venture
Runners up: Pepper II, Temple of Asphsi(sp?), 2010, Slither, oh hell all of them!

The DC is a super kick ass system. Definetely pick up:
Space Channel 5
Jet Grind Radio
House of the Dead 2 with a gun
Soul Caliber
Sword of the Berserker
MDK2
I pick DC games used from all over ranging from .99 to $14.99, iut's hard to beat that for value.

I have some of the ROM dumps for Ebivision games.
From what I've seen on these boards cpuwiz' date=' you seem to have [i']everything[/i]

-
I would be fine with it. It's the programmers work and he/she should decide how it's used and distributed. They don't "owe" anything to community.
I do prefer to see the stuff in general release but it's not my call to make. I'm too dumb to program.

NTSC = Never The Same ColorAs a TV graphics guy I can say with all certainty that is the truth!

-
I wouldn't call them flimsy for the normal sized kid it was probably designed for. It's too flimsy for me at 167 lbs, so I would assume the same for you. You can sit down and use it too but that isn't as much fun.
-
It's OK. I'm not a big fan of skiing games. It's definetely better on the joybaord then with just a stick.
-
Did Mogul Maniac have the Joyboard with it?
I have a Joyboard. It's the one thing in my collection that everybody says, "What the hell is that?"

Funny, as I'm reading this forum there is a commercial on TV for a PC add on called x3D world that makes 3D games, movies, etc. Here's the website if anybody is interested:

Comparing Space Cavern to Cosmic Commuter! WHAT!?!?!? CC is a great game, way more engaging then SC. Well, at least to me.
-
The misleading game variation numbers remind me of the old TV commercials for the digital watches that came free when you ordered Ginsu knives. They said it was a six function digital watch. The six functions were:
1. hours
2. minutes
3. seconds
4. month
5. day
6. year
Really it's a 2 function watch: time & date

I think the "intentionally crippled" rumor is crap. Wouldn't poor quality also reflect on them as a company and in turn make people wary of their other products? They want people to buy Coleco stuff it's how they make money.
Let's face it. DK & DKjr are pretty complex games involving a lot of things on screen behaving in different patterns. Neither game is as simple as Space Invaders, which by the way, while it has excellent gameplay doesn't resemble the arcade graphics either.
The "intentionally crippled" rumor reminds me of the other Coleco rumor that the CV startup screens were necessary for an emulator to start up that actually runs the games. Sure, those games running in an emulated environment on those old processors with that tiny amount of ram. Suuurre

Thanks I'll ty that. I've been thinking about turning one of my old mice into a paddle anyway so maybe this is an excuse to do it.
-
@joeyThe mouse emulates a paddle.
I know it's supposed to but on my PC if I move the mouse to try and control the speed it just jumps to the highest throttle and won't go back down. Maybe it's my mouse software?
-
If you get the TG-16 CD add on, it has RCA outs for audio video so you don't need to make a new cable if you're as mechanically inept as me
BTW, I LOVE my TG-16/CD and curse myself for not getting it back when it was new.

You are welcome my friend. By the way, Witchfynde, whats you're new avatar, I can't place it?It's the escape door in Tunnel Runner

So everyone who likes DOAX is an automatic hard-up perv who needs to get out? For all we know anyone in this chat room could be some super stud who is pulling in hot chicks left and right.I never said everyone who likes the game is a hard up perv. I said buying the game just for half naked polygon renderings is pathetic. This will be the 3rd time I've said it, TRY THE GAME FIRST TO SEE IF THE GAMEPLAY IS GOOD.
And I hope everybody on the boards is pulling in hot members of whatever sex they prefer.

-
I'm not sure what you mean by the seller not being convinced?
As far as auctions go, I always email the person and tell them how I'm going to pay, my address for shipping and thank them later on if all went well.
On trades I tell them what I have, look at what they have and make a few suggestions for the trade. If we can't come to an agreement that all is fair, I thank them and wish them well. I'll find the item eleswhere if it seems like it's going to be a problem.
A little courtesy and honesty seems to go a long way in all situations.

I use the Stella emulator and I was wondering if any of you know the answer to this. On Stunt Cycle/Daredevil, I know you must use the paddles to accelerate but I have no paddle hookup for my PC. I assume like some other paddle games I can use the mouse but that doesn't seem to work right either. The cycle is always going top speed so I just crash every time. Anybody know how to control the speed when using the Stella emulator?
-
Yeah cropping or shrinking mine would totally ruin it. This is the only board I belong to though so It hasn't been a problem yet.
-
2600 DKjr is a bad bad translation but I wonder if it was an original game without the arcade to compare it to, would we all be so harsh? The controls would still stink, but the game is interesting.
-
Very Cool! I'm honored to be mentioned in your title. That doorway in your avatar was always a welcome site on screen

got me a DC finally!

The DC does emulate other stuff nicely but be forewarned. Using CDRs makes the GD-Rom drive work much hartder then it was designed to. Extendeed use will burn it out quicker.
