  1. The CV is in my top 3 favorite systems. I think I like just about every game (Even Cosmic Avenger although it's tough to like it) but here's my top ten in no particular order:

    HERO

    Jumpman JR

    Frontline

Wargames (play 2 player using the roller controller and a stick keypad to pick the weapon - amazing!)

    Destructor

    Nova Blast

    Squish 'Em Sam

    Mr. Do

    Rocky Battles the Champ

    Venture

Runners up: Pepper II, Temple of Asphsi(sp?), 2010, Slither, oh hell all of them!

  2. The misleading game variation numbers remind me of the old TV commercials for the digital watches that came free when you ordered Ginsu knives. They said it was a six function digital watch. The six functions were:

    1. hours

    2. minutes

    3. seconds

    4. month

    5. day

    6. year

    Really it's a 2 function watch: time & date :)

  3. I think the "intentionally crippled" rumor is crap. Wouldn't poor quality also reflect on them as a company and in turn make people wary of their other products? They want people to buy Coleco stuff it's how they make money.

Let's face it. DK & DKjr are pretty complex games involving a lot of things on screen behaving in different patterns. Neither game is as simple as Space Invaders, which by the way, while it has excellent gameplay doesn't resemble the arcade graphics either.

The "intentionally crippled" rumor reminds me of the other Coleco rumor that the CV startup screens were necessary for an emulator to start up that actually runs the games. Sure, those games running in an emulated environment on those old processors with that tiny amount of ram. Suuurre

  4. So everyone who likes DOAX is an automatic hard-up perv who needs to get out? For all we know anyone in this chat room could be some super stud who is pulling in hot chicks left and right.

I never said everyone who likes the game is a hard up perv. I said buying the game just for half naked polygon renderings is pathetic. This will be the 3rd time I've said it, TRY THE GAME FIRST TO SEE IF THE GAMEPLAY IS GOOD.

And I hope everybody on the boards is pulling in hot members of whatever sex they prefer. :)

  5. I'm not sure what you mean by the seller not being convinced?

As far as auctions go, I always email the person and tell them how I'm going to pay, my address for shipping and thank them later on if all went well.

On trades I tell them what I have, look at what they have and make a few suggestions for the trade. If we can't come to an agreement that all is fair, I thank them and wish them well. I'll find the item eleswhere if it seems like it's going to be a problem.

A little courtesy and honesty seems to go a long way in all situations.

  6. I use the Stella emulator and I was wondering if any of you know the answer to this. On Stunt Cycle/Daredevil, I know you must use the paddles to accelerate but I have no paddle hookup for my PC. I assume like some other paddle games I can use the mouse but that doesn't seem to work right either. The cycle is always going top speed so I just crash every time. Anybody know how to control the speed when using the Stella emulator?
