  1. I have about half of the commercially released games and of those I probably only play a quarter of them. Unfortunately much of what I have is crap like Karateka and Fight Night. The games I do play on it I really like although I admit, I always play with the sound off. I can't take the 7800 music and sounds.
  2. I was going to type it all out but then I remembered this - it's a scan of the 32x manual and it'll explain everything. http://killass.lardpirates.com/32x/docs/Se...nual%20v1.0.pdf
  3. Sorry to quote myself, but it seems there already is a modular controller! And it's designed by BenHeck! http://www.edimensional.com/product_info.p...78b671aa8d25ac5
  4. The CV is a great system, it's tied with the VCS for my all time fav game system. Between the decent to excellent ports of lesser known arcade games and cool stuff like the SAC sticks, roller and Steering Wheel, it just adds up to fun. The INTV on the other hand is pretty disappointing overall. There's a few good games, most notably the Burgertime port, Locomotion and Hover Strike. The Activision and Imagic games for it are excellent which is what saves it from being more of disappointment. Most of the Mattel games don't hold my attention very long. The INTV controllers are absolute crap too.
  5. That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Brittle cart cases breaking into tiny pieces that get stuck in the cart slot.
  6. I can't imagine who would leave something like that in a barn for 20 years! Even if it didn't work it would have the most honored place in my house.
  7. What exactly was the wafer technology? I picture little interchangable cards sort of like micro sd or other flash cards.
  8. Combat and Surround the first two I got with the VCS. I think every Xmas since had been somewhat of a let down.
  9. The two Funcolands near me were actually really good stores. Both had good selection and decent prices. They were much better than the Gamestops that replaced them.
  10. Jetset, I think you might be mixing things up a bit. The composite inputs(red/white for audio, yellow for video) are RCA type jacks. Your TV has a spot for that right? If you mean DTV converters, I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that will work. They are meant to decode a digital signal and change it to analog for an older TV. A 2600 hooked up to it is not providing a digital signal so I don't know how the converter would react to the signal. If it has some kind of bypass for an analog signal it might work but I'm doubt it does that since it would be kind of pointless for what it was made to do. I could be totally wrong, I don't know much about those DTV boxes.
  11. I bought some Dreamcast stuff from them a couple of years ago and had no problems at all. Unless something has changed, I'd recommend them.
  12. I couldn't agree more. I think if they had concentrated on the Super Game Module or even started on a CV 2 they would have survived the crash and been around a little longer.
  13. My INTV carts need constant cleaning to work. They are just as bad as NES carts in that regard.
  14. I vote for digital distribution because I couldn't care about collectability, I want to play the games.
  15. I agree. I really love this game when I have someone I can play against. But since that doesn't happen very often, there are countless other games I usually play instead. By this logic, then Warlords is the crappiest of crap that ever crapped because you need to have 3 other friends and two sets of paddles to truly enjoy this game. Note * I think Warlords is awesome and when friends come over it always gets game play.... Warlords has options for 1 player, Combat doesn't. You're comparing apples and oranges.
  16. I saw both this and the Big Wheel ad last night during Chuck. I'd rather have a Lexus than a Big Wheel but a VCS is a different story altogether.
  17. I noticed many readers letters in pretty much every magazine appear to be written by morons. I subscribe to Casino Player and every month they have to re-explain the random number generator in slot machines to someone who claims to be a long time reader. Anyway, along the same lines here's some very funny Nintendo Power letters/articles and Seanbaby's answers to them. For anybody at work, I'd suggest waiting to get home to read these. http://www.seanbaby.com/nes/dearnintendo.htm
  18. I love both but prefer the SNES version of the the two. I actually need to replace my N64 cart, I lent mine to a nephew and it was lost.
  19. At Tiger Direct, shipping is only $1.99 too! Great deal if you're looking for one. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/se...mp;sku=M17-9200
