Like a vegetarian Canadian? (WARNING: OFFENSIVE REMARKS) Ha!! I am not offended because it's so fucking true. I see them all the time. At first you think it's a man but then you look again and it ain't no man. It's a woah-man. Sometimes you see them with their matching twin haircut (mullet) same sex spouse. You try to understand.. And then you upchuck as visions of disgustingness enter the mind. I think you're reading MUCH more into my dopey little joke than intended. Random, was making a butch lesbian joke but I was kind of turning it around a bit. Mullets are sometimes called "hockey hair" and since many Canadians are fond of hockey, I brought up Canada. The vegetarian part was because he said she hates sausage which is usually made of meat. I know what he meant but I was trying to be funny by playing dumb, I wasn't actually insinuating anything about anyone's sex preferences or Canadians or even tool belts. well I thought it was funny before it had to be explained, oh well...

Colecovision HSC Week #11 - OIL'S WELL
joeybastard replied to theking21083's topic in ColecoVision High Score Club
I'll have to play this one emulated, I've never come across this cart in the wild. A shame too because I like the game a lot in emulation. -
Seems to be just an error page now...

I'd pay $30 beans for it if it were good. I think this would be a better candidate for a 5200 port though.

That switch just makes it suck faster!

The Rant Thread: Unpopular opinions welcomed.
joeybastard replied to A Sprite's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I kind of expect the majority to disagree, that's why this is the thread of unpopular opinions. I wanted to like the Sonic games. I bought them as them came out and played through them. They aren't terrible but I never saw the appeal everybody else seemed to. I can still pick up SMB and the sequels and have fun with it but I can't say the same for the Sonic games. -
All 3 kick a huge amount of ass, cover a pretty wide variety of games and are relatively cheap to own so why have a preference? There are days I love my CV more than the other 2 and days I love one of the other two more than the CV, etc.

What is up with all these "deleted" posts
joeybastard replied to JellE's topic in Site and Forum Feedback
Number of posts won't work. I have a large number of posts and I hit a bit of a rough mental patch a while back where I decided to delete myself from AA(and some other places on the internet). The mods told me to stop and I did. I don't want to stir the whole thing up again but if you want further explanation you can find it here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...c=86687&hl= The point is, post count won't guarantee 'responsible' editing. -

Guess I'm the only one hoping for Frontline! -
Rock Band - $170 of broken crap.

Only when they seem to ignore the smiley with a wink that indicates, kidding around. -
I think it's very progressive of them to make Mary a pre-surgery tranny.

Colecovision HSC Week #10 - BurgerTime

I'm not too good at this one, 93030 -
I played it at my nephews. I thought it was pretty good actually. The graphics are fine for the Wii, nothing spectacular but not terrible. I don't know why anybody would have control problems, it offers different control schemes, some using the nunchuck, some not using it. You can even do a "classic' setting of no motion sensing and just use the directional if I remember right. I preferred the no nunchuck, motion sensing style and got used to it very quickly. I think the controls actually make this game more fun because you've played this type of game 100x before. I've seen it for only $20 so for that I'd say it a GREAT deal.

Nope, driving controllers and paddles are definitely different and not interchangable. For one thing DCs have no stop point. They just spin and spin unlike the paddles which have a stop. I'm not sure of the 2nd thing but my guess is that Indy 500 is indeed the only game that uses them.

Rock Band - $170 of broken crap.

AH ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.... next you're going to claim drummers are musicians too! for the record, I've played both bass and guitar in various bands It doesn't surprise me that the drums are going to break on this thing. Non-drummers tend to beat the snot out of drums, they think you have to hit them much harder than necessary. -
Here's some info on Threshold available right here on AA: http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html...wareLabelID=557 It's an OK shooter, nothing great, but not bad. Next time I'd suggest you ask about 2600 games in the 2600 Forum. You'll get more responses

Um, HELLO... Freeway came out before Frogger! (In that case, Frogger must be one fantastically improved Freeway rip-off!) I believe the arcade game Frogger came out before Freeway. Perhaps Freeway was a lame attempt to cash in quick on Frogger's popularity without having to worry about any lawsuits or buying the rights. So the question is, which came first, the Chicken or the Frog? It's intersesting that the only two 'animal crossing the road' games in video game history (that I can think of) came out in the same year. Atari's coin-op Space Race seems to be Freeway's closest relative and predates Frogger too.

....wait... did he say H.E.R.O. ? Nah, nobody could say H.E.R.O. It has to be a typo.

Atari Age's new flashback 2 drawing
joeybastard replied to chrisr's topic in Site and Forum Feedback
It doesn't say anything on the page about it but I hope you aren't really going to bust on Al about this. It's just a way to help promote sales in the store and it's the store that keeps AA on the net. -
Laser Blast isn't terribly good but I think it's better than Freeway. Freeway just isn't interesting after a couple of turns. I'd probably vote for Bridge though because I'm not a fan of the card game either.

JUST PUT OUT SOME MORE GAMES! Push the current limits or add ram to the carts or whatever can be done now but just do it already. Enough with the dragged out discussions of what could be but will probably never get done due to practicality and cost. All of this talk and no new games means lots of CVs are just sitting idle.

I think the Genny Sonic games are mega-overrated. They just aren't very good and not even half as good as the original SMB or SMB 2 or 3. -
Welcome aboard! If you can go direct to the TV, that's always the best way to do it.
