  1. Does it use the same guitar as the older games? I saw one picture of the one coming with it and it looked like it had more buttons higher up on the neck.
  2. Well the images that do show up(orangelabel.jpg and the atari2600.jpg) are both in the main folder according to the source for the main page and the hardware page. Did you make a separate folder for the images and forgot to change the code to point at it rather than the main folder? I only mention that because I've done that many times over the years when I start organizing the stuff after I did the initial design.
  3. I only knew what piece it was because my wife told me, I wouldn't have known the title.
  4. Well again, using Roms, and looking only at U.S. Retail, I count over 672, with 7 "Imagine" titles (see attached for list). Imagine - Animal Doctor Imagine - Babyz Imagine - Fashion Designer Imagine - Figure Skater Imagine - Master Chef Imagine - Rock Star Imagine - Teacher Plus or minus some stuff (like Harvest Moon v.1.0 and ilk), Lets just say an even 600-650 U.S. retail games for the sake of argument. That's about 1% for the Imagine games. But yeah.. still too much I'm not arguing with your numbers but I'm confused. Is the list on Nintendo's own website just not updated? For instance, they don't list Imagine: Figure Skater or Imagine: Animal Doctor in their list. Could the Nintendo list be only games that are still in print?
  5. No maybe, that's exactly what happens in Frenzy when you pause the game. You are 100% right.
  6. A quick look at Nintendo.com for USA released games shows 360 games with 5 of them being "Imagine" titles.
  7. I want modular controllers. Something where you could easily change out a D pad for spinner, change the fire button configurations for fighting games instead of a platformer, etc. They would allow for either left or right hand configurations and if you break an analog stick, just clip in a replacement without having to buy a whole new controller. Different games could even come with special controller modules that could be just snapped into the base controller. Something along the lines of this very simple diagram.
  8. I really don't get the point of that mod. It's not like that's a practical portable design and it's pretty ugly too.
  9. I have a DS Lite that works fine, I won't be buying a new one until it dies. If they have added features by that time, bonus.
  10. A premade board for converting a NES pad to the 7800 or a NES pad to the CV?
  11. I'll curse and question the birth heritage of the programmers but I haven't broken a controller since I first played Pitfall II as a kid. If a game is too hard that it makes me want to break something, I shut it off.
  12. don't worry too much about creating artwork .... download it here: http://www.localarcade.com/arcade_art/ That's the site! That's where I got the sheet of logos I posted but I didn't save the link. Thanks
  13. I did a search for arcade logos a while ago for a work project and came across this collection of vector stuff. Attached is an EPS version in the Zip file and a PDF version. Arcade_Logos_.zip Arcade_Logos_.pdf
  14. I find with most modern games I lose interest and never finish them. For some reason I don't mind plugging away on the handhelds until it's done but very few console games keep me interested. I never used to do that in the 8 bit and 16 bit era. Hell, I only finally made it through all of HERO on the CV last year and I'm still trying to finish Miner 2049er 25 years later!
  15. If that's the thing I saw on closeout in another store it had the worst joysticks and buttons I have ever felt. The sound stunk and the monitor was pretty blurry too. If this is the same thing, it's not worth $20 let alone $200.
  16. You can use the steering wheel with Bump N Jump and PitStop too. The CV roller can used on Wargames as well. In fact I prefer playing Wargames with the Roller.
  17. looks like Skate Boardin' to me...
  18. The scrolling is decent, a little choppy like any CV game. The game itself is a shooter with a boss stage just like Sky Jaguar or Xevious and a 1000 other shooters out there. It's an OK game, I'm not overly impressed by it but I wouldn't call it horrible. It feels "unfinished" if you know what I mean. I play it every once in a while but nowhere near as much as Sky Jaguar or the other CV homebrews I have. An additional thing I found disappointing that for it's price, you just get a cart and box, no manual.
  19. 2600 Homebrews: 2003 AA Holiday Cart 2004 AA Holiday Cart 2005 AA Holiday Cart 2006 AA Holiday Cart 2007 AA Holiday Cart Phantom II Gingerbread Man A-VCS-Tec Challange Space Battle Marble Craze Lady Bug Thrust+ Platinum Conquest of Mars Medieval Mayhem This Planet Sucks! 20. I'm not trying to start a pissing contest but "100% guaranteed to work perfectly" would imply to me as a buyer that you had some proof of it working in the first place. The only way for that to be true would be testing. I'd suggest you reword that in future sales. IMHO, that wording is kind of deceptive whether you intended it to be or not.
  21. I'm definitely picking this up, I can get lost playing around with stuff like that. I actually have a homebrew sequencer/synth for the DS but it doesn't work so well with my card. It's very hit and miss.
  22. Sounds pretty straight forward but any chance for some pictures for us amateurs to reference?
  23. I would love that for Thrust + on the VCs and Asteroids on the 7800.
  24. I use dielectric grease for all of my electronics projects. It works fine and lasts a long time so you won't need to do it again for quite a while. Just use a little though because any excess gobs will just attract dust.
