They're made in the USA. The circuit boards are through-hole, which is somewhat of a rarity these days.

Heh. Nobody wrote a nastygram. I stumbled upon this thread and found myself thinking, "I wrote WHAT??!!" After all, the damn thing clearly says "64-BIT INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM" on the front of the case.
