I did something similar back in the day with Atari chess on the 800 against a 3D chess game on the Atari 520STFM back around 1988 or so. Remember me and dad were astounded that the acient old 1979 8-bit game beat the ST 4 times straight. Wish I could remember what the ST chess game was. Best, Chris

My sons 360 RROD'd when he was playing Forza 2 last week, we have the new refurb back now, sadly it's still hot and loud!

Fallout 3, awesome game, also playing through Call of Duty 3 as I picked it up for a fiver. Missus is playing Jurassic Park Operation Genesis on BC on the 360 too.

Hi folks! Been ages since I posted, had a lot on all in all. Well the worst game that I remember especially since it was so massively hyped was Rise of the Robots on Megadrive, beautiful graphics but totally unplayable junk. I also really hated Heavenly Sword on PS3, again pretty face but no bloody substance, I can't belive how repetitive that game was. Ninety Nine nights on 360 was also another example of this. The Nintendo Wii has also left me feeling cold, we bought one for my son(who's ten years old) I hate the controller and the games seemed so shallow, he traded it in within weeks for a 360 as he just didn't want to play it. I never liked the Resident Evil series on PS1 either, great premise and nice visuals but the controls and item management were awful. Chopper Command on the Mega CD was also a stinker.

Just in the middle of playing both these at the moment, my girlfriend loves mass effect, who'd have thought, she only usually plays things like zoo tycoon on the mac!

Wings of war for XBOX is a ww1 flying game(and very good to) released in 2004. A new game is due for release this year it's a wwi FPS called War to end all wars, it says it will accuratley replicate trench warfare, it's for the 360. Best, Chris

The UK BC is far worse than you have in the USA, only about half at best of the titles you can play work here in PAL versions. I for one would like a decent level of BC here in europe. Best regards, Chris

Thanks folks, I have the 175w PSU and the box details tally with the latest falcon board. Thats good to know. Can't belive the price has just been dropped today though, could have had brand new now for the price I paid used last week. Never mind I'm having fun on it and that's what I bought it for :-)

I have just bought a used 360 Arcade from Gamestation & would like to know wether it has the newer suspossedly more reliable board. can this be told via the serial number or are all the arcade models the same? I am a little concerned about the RROD and other reliability issues although I do have a 1 year gurantee with the shop and as I understand it Microsoft will honour the 3 years for red ring faliures. In use it doesn't seem to get very hot so I'm assuming it quite a new one. best regards, Chris

I agree with most of this. i own a 40gig PS3, and to be honest we use our slimlime ps2 3 times as often simply for the games. There are some decent ps3 titles, but to be honest I could of waited another year before buying my ps3 until more games were out, especially as I don't have HDTV or give a toss about blueRay films. Don't regret the purchase as it's a great machine but it would have made so much more sense to have spot on BC. I hope that it will eventually be released as a free upgrade online after all the dust has settled, but am probably being overly optimistic. Best, Chris

Thanks for the info guys! OK I have a PS2 and PS2 already so what games are must haves for the xbox, either games that are much better than there PS2 versions or exclusive titles. This is my first go with xbox as I'm am very un-microsoft(I have a MAC) so I bet there's loads of great games I missed.

As the title basically. i have aquired an xbox crystal really cheap and am just wondering if the mk1 xbox still has new commercial game support in the same way as the PS2? My local game store doesn't have much in the way of new games onlt a lot of second hand stuff. Just curious really. Thanks! Chris

I have Steam Hearts for the PCE on CD in excellent condition, the notorious adult shooter. Will swap for a PS3 game I don't have and sounds fun! Have sold my PCE so don't need this one now! Best regards, Chris
