I've got another wise fine 800XL that's missing a spacebar. If anyone has a dead keyboard sitting around and could spare the part that would be great. Glad to pay, just don't want to buy a whole dead system just for one key. Thanks!

Many thanks for all the input! I downloaded Advan, still looking for Turbo Basic. I'd like to be able to run on older hardware as well so I may try advan. I have ABC but no instructions. Also not sure if any of them besides Turbo include the run time so maybe my dream of cartridge distribution is far fetched. We'll see. Thanks again. Bob

I'm in the process of writing a music application for the 800 and I want to know if anyone know of any kind of guide or reference on how to prepare and put files on the eprom so they will boot properly on the system. I've got a couple of socketed 16k eprom carts and a willem clone burner. I've searched the archives but mostly have only found stuff regarding burning existing roms or dumping roms. Also looking for a good basic compiler if anyone has recommendations. Thanks for your help! Bob
