I'm in a Rodney Dangerfield mood today, RIP. Thought up more one liners he could use if he we're around today. "My wife's cooking is so bad our kids go running around to the neighbors and beg for leftovers!" "One time I had a piece of meat that I could't eat so I tossed it to the dog...he tossed it back!" "Awhile back and I put my plate on the floor for the dog and he bit me!"

Alestorm concert is tonight! Woo!

@GoldLeader It was great! So glad we had a chance to see them live. Venue was small (1000 people max) so pretty much anywhere was up close! And boy was the beer flowing, I don't think my wife left the couch all day yesterday.

Don't worry, I'm alright. The only thing that happened at my house was the backyard area outside the fence was flooded.

@SlidellMan Insurance is going up for everybody everywhere - not sure if there's a region where it would be much better for you per house cost.

It's late,...Maybe I'm missing something. YouTube has ads now? It didn't yesterday, or this morning... Maybe I should say Did YouTube figure out how to get around Adblockers? Does anyone know?

Ya ever get an envelope in the mail and right there it says, FREE GIFT INSIDE? And you think, What could it be? Swing for the fences, is it a Dodge Viper or a Maserati Merak (SS of course)? Nope...An Evercade game? Not in an envelope, But is it something cool like a gift card that's worth something? Could be, happened to me the other day, but that's rare...Look, it's probably a magnet for your fridge or a cloth to clean your glasses. Course you could just open it up! Nawww I'll wait til tomorrow...

In the market for a PlayStation Portable? I made an extremely in depth guide comparing every revision with as much detail in a written format as possible.

If the demand is there, I may rework this as an actual thread on here. But that depends on what you guys think. -
How Contra in 3D should be done:
Contra 2028 – Student Project Game | Alpha Beta Gamer
Keep in mind that I still like 2D run-and-gun Contra.

Rainbow Cotton is getting an enhanced remake with a proper lock-on:

I'm looking at computers again. Two identical PCs from the same builder. For an extra $15, I can get colourful LEDs inside the computer that turns it from a business PC to a gaming PC. Otherwise the specs are identical...

@GoldLeader Not too far south but much further south than you, St. Louis.

Ouch! Or congrats on the ice being gone I guess!
We're now in the season where we to try not to switch the AC on. It got up to 77 today, but overnight will be 60, but tomorrow again will be 80. Probably need to open the windows tonight.
Just 2 weeks ago, we hit 80 for a high and broke a day's record, then the next day the high was 45 and the low was 25. March is crazy here - but hopefully not 6 inches of snow crazy!

Holy crap, changing a tire is hard. I don't even have the stupid thing off and I'm already exhausted.
-
@GoldLeader that's another consideration with newer cars, most don't even come with a spare anymore, so you have to call a tow truck. The fix a flat+ compressor they include are useless much of the time.
Also, boo! to @joeatari1 and @doctorclu

Never leave HDDs in your laptops when you donate them to thrift shops. I like it when you do, but you don't like it when you do.

Dune2 was a neat movie, and now nobody'd better ever complain that David Lynch changed too much of the story.

Casual gameplay of Donkey Kong on the Atari 2600+. DK - along with Mouse Trap - were the pack-in titles for my Coleco Gemini which I received for Christmas way back in 1983.
Internet rumors abound regarding the quality of this port. Was it a part of a conspiracy to make the obviously superior Colecovision look...superior? Hogwash!
Garry Kitchen did a solid job bringing the game to the 2600 in limited time on a 4K cart. I like it in the same way I like 2600 Pac-Man. If you're a younger GenXer (Xennial, if you will), this was probably your DK.
-
I enjoyed the 2600 version of DK as a kid, but was disappointed it only had the 2 levels. When a friend got a Colecovision with 3, plus the improved graphics, it was way better and I begged for a Colecovision (never got one).
I only thought 2600 Pac Man was just OK. I remember young me with no knowledge of programming or computing/memory power wondering why it wasn't anything like the arcade.

You ever look at your collection and think: Am I missing a Super Nintendo? No, wait it's in that box. What about that NES? Is that the blinking light problem child or was it the other one, and which was my Original NES? Oh right the one with the tape on it,...Now how many Genesises do I have? Wait, was I counting the ATGames one?...Now should I put all Analogue consoles in the same spot or...
I know, I know...First World problems! But, I definitely care about the world and its problems, and hope for peace, ending hunger, curing cancer, saving the environment etc.,...
Separately, when I think back to some of the crap jobs I had...And how I was treated as an employee at various times...Maybe I should be Allowed to enjoy some First World Problems! Maybe I've earned it...

I feel this odd feeling to dip potato chips in ketchup.

If you had the choice to never have to leave your home again, would you?
For me, depends on my mood. But more times than not, id say yes

I always forget how much I enjoy "The Golden Girls". A great guilty pleasure show. Don't tell anyone.

Wow, Megatouch units are expensive and nowhere near as numerous as I'd think they would be.

Car battery died - debated calling AAA, but since the car was a manual, I decided to try a clutch pop in reverse, and it worked! Made it to the shop to get a new battery. How many kids today could do that?
-
I should note that yes, I usually have done battery changes myself. But this time both terminals were super full of corrosion crud, so I decided I'd rather have someone else deal with that. Also wasn't sure if it was just the battery or an additional problem with the alternator or something, thankfully it was not.
