Had no real intention or need to get a Flashback 9, but for $11 at Wal Mart, yeah what the hell.

One thing I don't like about this new online touchless delivery crap is tipping in advance. If they know, do they care less? More? I think delivery folks would also prefer getting cash.

@GoldLeader As to part D - I did not give any particular reason why cash tips may or may not be preferred.

Kinda funny, I'll often get, like a 4 or 5 dollar tip in quarters! And for some reason there was this house that ordered about 3-4 times in One Week, and each time paid for about $40 (of cheese steaks, hot dogs, pierogies etc.) ALL in quarters! They give me a bag of quarters and say there's $45 there. Yay! I don't count it til later...Once it was $44.75 Close enough, Yay!

Our dog has been at the vet for 2 days. She will probably not come home tomorrow. Everything sucks.
However, she was immortalized a few years ago thanks to @frankodragon

Normally I wouldn't post work things, but a customer just asked if I could whitelist their IP of 192.168.1.1. FFS.

@Albert I may just have to reply that I did instead of trying to explain it!

Dang. The birthday sidebar doesn't show anymore. Hint hint.

Not well known, but the official active ingredient in Viagra is "Mycoxafloppin"

I hate grids of giant pictures. I want a compact list with text descriptions. UX people need to stop it. My lawn, get off it!

I've struggled for years to figure this out. Thank heavens for YouTube!

Just saw on Facebook that Trade-N-Games store was robbed - 100K of games out of his safe. Not sure what subforum would be good for posting a heads up.

@Thanos: Yes, from the online videos he's done he has stuff WAY over insured versus actual salable value. Monetarily he should be fine. Mentally though, I myself don't think I could get over such an invasion. I'd need to at least move. I hope all goes as well as possible for Jason. I also hope they catch the bastard(s) who robbed him.

I need a button for when I go shopping that says "No I am not a rewards member of this establishment."

OK, @BydoEmpire -
That was likely where I initially heard it, probably in and around when I was studying mixtures in nursing school, realized that it was , in fact, "correct", tho a "silly".
Ozzy has all the answers.

Holy crap it's a miracle. Netflix added a checkbox to turn off the auto previews playing!

Stuck it to the man this week. Car registration is due, but I learned there is a waiver to get out of the emissions test if you drove less than a certain amount. (Can you imagine for some reason it is not very well advertised?)
It was approved, so no having to waste my time and take off work to get the car inspected. Woot!

@GoldLeader Pretty sure it is required by federal law based on population. Only the big cities/counties in our state have it, rural counties do not.

Fresh Thyme Market's 2% milk has an orange cap and label. Chaos, I say!

@Cebus Capucinis I've always thought it was light blue for 1%. And I just discovered this handy chart via Google images, which seems to confirm my expectations, for me it has always gone red, blue, light blue, and pink.

A friend of mine wants to donate some older games (Wii, PS2) to charity and make sure needy kids actually get them, any suggestions?
I mentioned how Goodwill cherry picks and just puts the good ones on their auction site.- Show previous comments 2 more

That's a dilemma I face as well, as I have some old board games I'd like to give away in the same way, but just HOW do you find actual kids that would love to have them? A couple of options I've considered but haven't tried, 1) talk to some local churches, they may have a good handle on some families that would appreciate such a gesture,2) local boys/girls club?
Do not give them away to Goodwill, or Salvation Army type of store, unless you don't care what happens to them.

FedEx woes continue. Now they have my Tron Arcade1Up. Says to be delivered today. However this morning it left St. Paul, MN, which is two states away. What?

Woo, just saw I made 2000 posts. Let's party!
-edit, lets take the suggestion from @cvga but party like it's Back in '89!

I discovered my favorite local electronics surplus shop is closing for good at the end of the month. So I bought two parallel Zip drives I don't even need, because to help I guess?

I still have my Zip drives, too; a bunch of 100MB drives (internal and external) and an internal 750MB drive, with plenty of media for both.
(I wonder if Zip is more reliable than flash drives for long-term backups of small files? I know Zip had some quality control problems, but I seem to recall that was early on.)

I don't think this person has been to a used game store in the last 10 years. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/vgm/d/saint-louis-guitar-hero-rock-band-set/6902727952.html

And GOT is over. What a journey. The battle between Snape, Han, Greedo, and Jar-Jar was amazing.

Realized it's finally time for a new basement MAME PC when I had to change the motherboard battery. In all my years I have never used a PC long enough to have to do that.

Been off work for 10 days for vacation. And now I feel like Peter in Office Space. "I don't like it, and I'm just not going to go anymore."

Never been trolled by a mullet before.

Did someone really make alt accounts over 2 years ago? As if they were planning something??

It doesn't surprise me. Some peoples' lives are such miserable failures that they have to create drama, and deliberately stir up trouble, just to give themselves a sense of purpose. I can't think of any other reason they would put so much effort into behaving like a jerk on a classic gaming and computing forum.
