  1. I will not be comfortable with preordering until I see the prototype being supplied power by a standard power supply allowing a fuzzy window to be moved around the screen with a mouse in their dining room lab. And also a heaping plate of tacos on the table.
  2. Wow, it's nearing the point where I should probably part ways with mine. Almost $400? Haven't powered it on since probably 2001. And the box is way better than that one. But to make it CIB I'd have to part with the Tempest 2000 soundtrack. Also I have accumulated more CD games since then that I've never even played!
  3. My deepest condolences. I also went through that several years ago. I would like to add that I have had several excellent dealings with eightbit here, he is definitely a stand-up seller.
  4. Wait, is a new one coming? Getting last year's was fun, there was definitely a lot of effort put into it!
  5. Wow, I guess it has been that long. I remember the Nex people had a booth at the first Midwest Gaming Classic I went to, that was 2007.
  6. http://definition.org/vintage-electronic-devices/10/ Atari Space Invaders is worth $1000 according to someone's dumb list! (I assume they really mean the arcade machine)
  7. Heh, guilty as charged back in the day. I was like 10 years old. Using thrust was for "good" players! This was at the arcade. Had an uncle that would play until he got bored, then would let one of us kids take over with the top line full of extra ships. They would get depleted quickly! With the 2600 version we'd finally use the thrust.
  8. Dang, local Wal-Mart didn't have the Joust or Rampage. But I picked up a Frogger. Tested the Asteroids, and plays like an LED game with fixed points for the ship around the center, no thanks.
  9. Probably one of the longest thread resurrections I've ever seen.
  10. Is it different than PC or other consoles? I mean, it's like 5 years old. It was my first Elder Scrolls game, got it on PC, and I thought it was amazing. The ability to just do anything you want, yet still follow the story line when you feel like it blew me away. It still impresses me now, with the enhanced graphics release they added for the PC version!
  11. We should ask Ben Heck's guys to set up a PS3 reflow station at the MGC. I have an 80GB fat - 4 USB, but some PS2 backwards compatibility was software only. It went back for repairs twice in the first 2 years. Was reliable after that, but I haven't turned it back on in probably 3 years now.
  12. Dang, beaten to it... And there was even a class action when Sony turned that option off after an update.
  13. Well, I've spent that much on a game once. Except it was a brand new pinball machine.
  14. Sim City? Or maybe that was just in the Civilization series, which wasn't SNES.
  15. Do you still need one? I can get one for you next time I spot one. Granted I'm not actively searching any more, but I did see one on a store shelf this week.
  16. Saw one on the shelf at a Target today. Never saw that for the NES.
  17. Wow, missed these by 3 minutes? That's probably a new record...
  18. Not to mention how illegal it is. No need to add to the debate of downloading ROMs, but selling them for profit is a giant no-no and deserves a slap down!
  19. Wasn't when I bought it. Plus, playing that on your lap is just not right... At the very least put up a cheap card table and folding chair!
  20. I think supply is getting even better now, if you're still looking just be patient and call around. A nearby Gamestop has 'a bunch' of them (according to store employee), a few more coworkers were able to get them today. They said when one of them called today, the employee said no one else had called to ask about their availability in the last couple of days.
  21. Can we get some pics of all the Playboy discs?
  22. Wow, I want one of those! It reminds me of a Borg cube.
