  1. Obviously you don't know me, because I am rarely serious here.
  2. Nah, I don't care about the free bumps, just the lies on it being worth less than $100! Hey, I never said it was worth less than $100. I don't think it is worth $200 though, somewhere in between, all depends on who wants it Well that wasn't you, it was the other guy saying somebody on AA was selling 10 of them... He didn't reply to my questions either. What are you even talking about? What questions? I will concede that I made a slight posting error, the guy that sold ten of them for $100 each was a well known seller on Nintendoage and the last two sold a few weeks ago. He started posting them for sale in January and it still took him four months to sell all ten even at $100 shipped. As I said, the average sale price in the last few months on Ebay has been from $80 to $100 with some going above that. Even if you are correct that the average price is more like $150, after Ebay and Paypal fees (which I might add you won't even take which makes it impossible for you to sell this on Ebay), that's still only $125 in the seller's pocket. You have had this item posted for sale for a year now and haven't sold it. Isn't that a slight clue to you that maybe you are asking too much? Get out of my thread! OUT!

  5. Yep, they typically go for around $80-$100 now that the hype has died down. Some guy on Atari Age had a ton of them for sale last month. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260597336706 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270573318414 Not sure what that proves. There are always auctions that go outside of the norm and if you're willing to be patient and pay the 15% in fees Paypal and Ebay now charge and deal with all the potential hassles of Ebay, I suppose you might be able to get more than $100 if you're really lucky. I have been watching MegaMan 9 press kit auctions for months out of curiousity and most have averaged $80-$100. A seller on Atari Age sold 10 of them for $100 each shipped between January and April of this year (it took that long to sell them all). I remember when these were going for $300 or more before Capcom did a second run and flooded the market and filled all the back orders. They just aren't that rare and demand is a lot lower than it was before. Who was selling them here? I can find no such thread, and I don't recall ever seeing it.

  7. You offered $125. They were over $200 on ebay at that time. (And still get that high occasionally)
  8. And from what I remember, the top right one is from Silence of the Lambs.
  9. The wall of carts, and a Tempest arcade machine... I love it!!!
  10. Yes, yes it is, but that was answered earlier.
  11. Shameless bump, had to add a picture of my 'new' MVS!

  13. I'd have to agree with this... The whole point of Vegas is to get AWAY! They tried the 'kid friendly' thing in the late 90's and early '00s, and it's turning out to not work, they're sort of giving up on it. Sure, there's Circus Circus, but every other hotel is almost like "Gamble or get the hell out." We got bitched at when my sister was pushing her daughter's stroller through an area we just happened to be sitting in, near the restaurant we were meeting at. The restaurant was fine, but she couldn't stand near the entrance to it because there were slot machines around. It's not casino policy, it's their mess of state laws. A baby in a stroller counts as a minor on the gaming floor. Crazy!
  14. I discovered it through various gaming mags. While in college in '94, there was a video store that would rent out systems, and I rented it for a weekend with Tempest 2000. Rented it several times over the next 2 years or so, and I was always happy to find I still had the top score on the cart. Rented other games with it, but we always ended up just going back to Tempest 2000. I don't remember how much it cost for the weekend, probably $15 or so, but it was definitely cheaper than buying one, at least at college income levels. In '98 I bought a sealed boxed system for $35 at one of those big computer liquidation sales. (They used to be really cool, went to one this year and wow, they have changed to complete crap!) Been using that same system since then.
  15. Don't forget the PayPal and eBay fees!
  16. Thank you for actually posting the pictures of it turned on. I've never seen it, but seen the game many times!
  17. Sweet merciful crap. 12 grand. Guess it's safe to assume that Tuesday Morning was the liquidation company for these.
  18. I would guess they're not popular since the Wii handles the games. One used store around here just has piles and piles of them.
  19. It was the beard. Clearly someone up to no-good.
  20. I tried to reserve a 7800 mod by PM... Let me know if I'm still on the list.
  21. You can use Atari 2600 joysticks for some games. That's how we played Q-bert, otherwise that one was a mess with the CV controllers! But these do look tempting... A couple of mine are really worn out.
  22. I think if we observe that, there would be a riot.
  23. That probably means you also were a witness to my rendition of "Chocolate Salty Balls" by Chef.
  24. I would like to announce I will be demoing something incredible with my Tandy Color Computer 3 setup in the museum. An amazing CoCo programmer has come up with what I think is the most accurate Donkey Kong on any 8-bit computer/system. Here's a preview: I wouldn't have believed it was possible myself, if I didn't play it. (And still sucked at it.) No hardware mods to the original CoCo 3. It actually does it.
