  1. Hi, My wife recently fell in love with the NES version of Dr. Mario. Not wanting to pass on an opportunity to increase her interest in gaming, I'm trying to snag a copy of the Tetris & Dr. Mario cart that was released for the SNES. Eventually I'll probably score a copy of the N64 one, too, but right now I have no controllers for my N64 So! Does anyone have a copy of this game they're willing to trade for or sell? I have some minor trade stock which I can list later today once I get home. Thanks for your attention!
  2. I score a lot of stuff through my mother-in-law's eBay business (as I've mentioned in the Thrift Finds thread). She buys foreclosed storage units and on rare occasion she's pulled some good game stuff. Managed to get a incomplete-in-box NES "Action Set" (the SMB3 pack), an N64, a couple sets of Atari paddles, some Zappers and NES controllers here and there. She never makes me pay for any of it, so it's a pretty good deal
  3. I'd have 'em all hooked up if I could, but I lack the shelf space and system selector space. I currently have my PSOne, Dreamcast, Genesis/SegaCD, Saturn, SNES, 2600 and NES hooked up through daisy-chained system-selectors and my Wii hooked up directly to the TV (Component). They're all on those stackable wire shelves to the left of my couch and the system-selector "out" snakes along the wall over to the TV. In storage are my 5200 (badly wish I could fit the bugger on a shelf --any shelf! it's so freaking huge!), 7800, N64 and Gamecube (and all my duplicate systems).
  4. My mother-in-law runs an eBay business that she fuels by buying foreclosed storage units which, every once in a while, have games in them which she never makes me pay for. When we were there for Christmas this morning, I got to dig through her stock a bit and came up with the following: 2 sets of 2600 paddles, no idea if they work yet, but they're pretty simple to fix if they don't 1 Grey NES Zapper 1 Orange NES Zapper (no idea if either one works yet) 1 NES controller Super Mario Bros 2 for NES Rampage for NES Super Empire Strikes Back for SNES and the best possible score ever: My very first N64. No games, controllers or expansion pack, but it was FREE!
  5. I still don't have a copy of Zelda: Link's Awakening. I'd love to find a Gameboy cache like that.
  6. After almost two months of completely dry searching I found three NES games last night at Goodwill: Rush'N Attack, $1 Operation Wolf, $1 Infiltrator, $1 I've never heard of Infiltrator; apparently it's rare but almost completely worthless
  7. Damn, man, I don't have any N64s, I'd jump at that deal!
  8. I paid about $80 for my copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. I think that's the most I've paid for an individual game, not counting, like, Guitar Hero with the guitar. I did own a copy of that mech game for the XBox that came with practically the whole cockpit as a custom controller, but I didn't like the game so I returned it. That was like $200, but I didn't keep it. I also managed to pick up a copy of Dragonball GT Final Bout for about $50 from Gamestop back when it was super rare (I was in the store when it was traded in, and it didn't hurt that I worked there at the time) and turned it around on eBay for about $350. The game is so bad that it wasn't even worth keeping for rarity's sake, and now that it's no longer as desirable, I'm even more sure of the decision.
  9. I'm gonna have to throw a vote behind the Genesis. From "Some value" to "no value at all" is a pretty big drop.
  10. Serial # is written on the box TWICE... and the box MUST accompany the SNES for a full refund... Not like I'd do it anyway... although it HAD crossed my mind I have a few spare SNESes; do you have a trade list or do you want to make an offer on one?
  11. We thought about that. We'll give it another look, thanks!
  12. Allow me to add that my wife has been bugging me about the ugly cardboard boxes that I keep the controllers in (she's fine with the game stuff when it's properly shelved, she thinks it all looks cool, even likes the action figures. I love her). Has anyone determined a good storage solution for loose controllers? I considered a pegboard briefly, but I feel like that's not an efficient use of space.
  13. I have a couple of these which I find invaluable, but my collection is reasonably small. These shelving units have adjustable shelves, though, so in addition to being movable (not built-in), if you have a couple of them, as I do, chances are you have a few shelves left over from the first which can be used on the second to create smaller spaces for loose Atari games and such. But as I said, my collection is small.
  14. Found a Power Glove (glove only, no sensor bars or junction box) with manuals at Goodwill today. Anyone need it? I probably won't use it for anything other than decoration.
  15. They were selling stuff like that, sans the lookalike case, from a cart in my mall five or six years ago for, like, $15.
  16. ... Well, I sorta kinda bought the to resell. I have no interest in collecting INTV stuff. Aheh. Shh! Take the compliment!
  17. Well I won't have any games with it initially, so maybe I'll just watch my thrifts for a Nintendo branded pack. Thanks for the insight, though.
  18. Dude, there's a bare SNES at my Goodwill for $10. Hell, I'll sell or trade you one of my extras for less than $40. I don't want to see a fellow collector/gamer ripped off in the name of science
  19. Hi, I've never owned an N64 before, but I find that I may have one soon, sans expansion pack. Looking on eBay, there are a ton of off-brand Expansion Packs for between $5 and $10, whereas the official Nintendo branded packs sell at the Nintendo Online Store for $30. How good are the off-brand packs? Should I pony up and get a branded Expansion Pack?
  20. This seems obvious, but do you have another SNES you could try? Does a friend have one? Does your Goodwill?
