  1. That newsletter was difficult to understand how to order anything except the SGM.   There are no links to pre-order anything except for the SGM.  Clicking on the SGM pre-order puts 4 things in the cart, a beige and black SGM plus warp-warp and bosconian pre-order.  Removing the SGMs and attempting the pre-order the games just return that they are no longer available.  It's mentioned in the newsletter the Pac man and others will be available to pre-order in may, some to club members only (I paid for the membership) but there hasn't been any communication for any pre-orders whatsoever or any other communication since the april newsletter.

    What am I missing?

Clicking the links put stuff in your PayPal cart. If you see a bunch of stuff in your cart, that means you clicked a bunch of stuff, perhaps in past sessions/newsletters.

SGMs are currently sold out, as are pre-order for games.

More pre-orders are coming, and will be announced via regular newsletter and club exclusive communication.

  2. Hi there, I noticed in the October Opcode newsletter you mentioned there were some improvements to Gradius for the 2nd run…do you happen to have a complete list of improvements yet?  Thanks!  John

Check the video above and you should get an idea. :)

I have sent my SGM to OPCODE for repair since the beginning of January 2021.

I have just paid the final price for my second SGM 6th batch.

Now I'm wondering if my repaired SGM will be sent with the new SGM ?

I sent an email to OPCODE but I have no response.

I assume by now you got an answer from Grazi. I will send you an invoice for the SGM service, and ship with your new SGM. Thanks!

Sorry, I had to edit my last post to two questions... what are the possibilities of having the SGM or SGM2 support Sg-1000 roms?

None because the cartridge pinout is totally different. But that is mostly irrelevant, as most SG-1000 games have already been ported.

The club seems cool with all the exclusive content a club member gets... but just to make sure I understand... Will joining the club give me first dibs on all new products to be released? My ultimate goal is to make sure I don't miss out on getting the SGM2, controllers, etc.

Also, is the original SGM still available to purchase now, or all those sold out.

I'm having trouble finding working links to official sites where I can purchase games, etc. Could you provide some links for me to go to so I can browse the products that may or may not be available to purchase. Thank you for your patience.

Our latest newsletter should answer many of your questions: :)

BTW, DKA is a club exclusive.

Perhaps these 2 questions have already been answered, but I am having trouble finding those answers. Both are about the controller:

    1. Will the 4 buttons on the Super Game Controller act as the 4 buttons in Super Action games so that a Super Action Controller is no longer required?

    2. The 3D printed prototype looks great! But I noticed the D-pad no longer had a joystick. Is that the final design, or will it have a removable stick like a Master System controller?

    1. No, it is a new scheme. The reason being that very few SGC games using those extra buttons exists, and the implementation that Coleco created was really bad (extra buttons not being independent and interfering with keypad, and vice versa)

    2. That is the design we have for now. When we get closer to production, we can evaluate things again to see if there is enough interest to have (and finance) a stick. We got a lot of feedback from people saying they would prefer the d-pad.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but...

As either an early adopter or innovator subscriber, am I basically being put on the list to be able to buy a SGM2?? In other words, Is this sort of like a pre-order list where I get "dibs"... to not only support the development, but also locks me in to "own" one??

And what of all the other items like the new controller, etc. How can I be "locked in" to make sure I will be able to buy all this stuff??

Actually this is a very good question. In the past I had multiple list for multiple "products", but those were not by any means exclusive in the sense you must be in those lists to able to buy. They were more like interest list, where you could get notifications first.

Now we are trying to consolidate everything around the Opcode Super Game Club. We are small, and managing too many channels is very time consuming, time that we could be using to more productive things. So they way to go now is the Club. Of course we also send periodic email newsletters, and you can subscribe to that as well.

  9. No updates re the ADAM (beige) SGM / 6th run since Opcode’s last notice re the $50 deposit. Hopefully some news with be coming soon!

I am sorry. I didn’t think updates were expected as the promised shipping date is April. But I can already share that the latest status report from the board manufacturer is that the boards are shipping mid March. So we are on schedule.

    :)

Does it mean, that I have wait for the next run of cartridges?

If you completed the pre-order, then you are good for this run.

I did the same, but for a black, with the Bosconian game. I wonder how long it will take from the start of production to the reception.

That info is in the newsletter. :)

It's amazing how well counterfeit Chinese products are, I hope that one day there will never be any counterfeit SGMs on sale, like Dreamcast GDMUs can be found.

I have the impression that it is more difficult to find an official AY chip, it is sold out on arcadeshop.com.

Regarding the failure of my SGM, what else could it be, if it was the faulty CPLD, the RAM would not work, except it is not the case.
Is the AY chip on a support? if so, it would be really easy for me to replace it.

Makes me think, having to spend shipping costs for something that I can do myself.

For the moment I am still waiting for a response from the email sent to [email protected]

Ok, it is support [at] opcodegames [dot] com. Replace [at] with @, and [dot] with . :)

    Better yet, just click here.

  14. I came here for exactly the same reason! I added my email when that post went up on FB but I haven't heard anything since and was starting to get worried that I had typo'd my own email address and missed the announcement.

Preorder is already open. Newsletter was sent. Probably in your spam box or something.

Tip: please add info at opcodegames dot com to your contact list.
