Great! Happy New Year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Hi, Actually I contacted you. Maybe it went to your spam box? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
I will be shipping boxes today and tomorrow. If you paid if should receive yours soon. In fact you should receive an email with tracking as I ship them. As for the games, unfortunately PCBs are super late. ETA was Dec 19th but I am still waiting for them. Tracking shows they are already in the US but still in transit. I guess Christmas is delaying things.

We will make announcements around the New Year, Tron Unit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2/3 shipped. 1/3 to go. But I am waiting additional PCBs. That is why I stopped taking orders. Hopefully PCBs will be here this week and I will resume and do my best to make sure people (in the US) get their games in time for Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, the original (MSX) wasn’t planned for separate controls, and to implement them, while possible, would have delayed things a month or more. And since I had already started the preorder process, I didn’t think it was worth the trouble. The game got many graphical improvements though and looks closer to the original arcade now. Those updates took me several weeks to implement. Also, we now have different color patterns for each level, just like the arcade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yesterday I shipped the first 1/3 of orders for Front Line and Elevator Action. I am still waiting for more PCBs, but I should be able to ship another 1/3 on Monday. That said, I also started selling the boxes for DKA and SGM Pro. About 30 are taken already, only 20 left, first come first served. Money goes to finish the controller design. Thanks, Ed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why does Penguin Adventure not work on some CV systems?
opcode replied to Swami's topic in Opcode Games
I don’t port with a tool set, and the reason for the problem was mentioned above. It isn’t software related otherwise everybody would be experiencing the same issues. I understand your frustration, just please don’t say things that aren’t true. We have been working on a new cartridge PCB to eliminate the issue, but we aren’t there just yet. -
Is Opcode EVER going to Release Donkey Kong Arcade!

Yes, around March/April 2020. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I am only committed to DKA so far in 2020 in terms of CV support. After that we will see, depending on when we see SGM2/OMNI happening. Not sure if I have explained that here before, but I am running out of cartridge cases, and investing on a new tooling is something I would like to avoid if the timing with the SGM2/OMNI is right. And then there is the controller. We will see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

You are correct. Now working on Crazy Monkey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
UPDATE: I will start shipping the two new color line games this week, and will also start contacting people about those boxes. Thanks again for all the support! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi. I am waiting until next week, when I start shipping Front Line and Elevator Action, to contact people about those boxes. Bad experiences in the past with PayPal, if we get too many orders not marked as shipped, they could place my account on hold. Like what happened in early 2016. But if you sent me an email, I will contact you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Announcing the Super Game Controller for the ColecoVision
opcode replied to opcode's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Not yet. I am probably placing the order for the final design next week. After that we should get the design done in about a couple of weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
We will have to test. SGM2 issues a lot of bus requests to the ColecoVision, and that might be a problem with the Adam. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for sharing Jim. I just started a campaign to raise money to pay for a designer that will create the final 3D files. Assuming all goes well, we should have that before the end of the year. That means we could have a final prototype soon after that. Then we need to do some beta testing, gather feedback. And hopefully manufacture this thing around mid 2020. This is high priority to me, and in fact I just made a deal with CollectorVision where they agreed to not release a similar controller while I will be supporting Phoenix with games and hopefully everybody will be happy.

Guys, I am getting more requests for the new games than I had expected. So if you haven't got a reply yet, please be patient. I will make sure all requests are fulfilled before the end of the year. I had to order additional components, but a second batch is coming.

That isn't how it works. TMS9918 pixels aren't square. That has to do with the dot clock. Dot clock dictates how long a pixel last, or how horizontally wide it is. In order to have perfect 4:3 pixel aspect you need a dot clock of 6.14MHz, while TMS9918 is 5.37MHz. That means pixels are 1.14 times wider than taller. F18A on the other hand has square pixels because it uses VGA timing. You may prefer square pixels, but that isn't how an actual ColecoVision video looks on an analog TV.

The SGM2 version is based on the NES version. MSX2 version is quite different in many ways.

Actually it is being done, Castlevania. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good question.... let me think about... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe all that needed to be said on this matter has been said. Anything else will just add to the drama, and god knows we don’t need more. May I suggest we go back to our regular programming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As Pixelboy indicated I was turned off by polygon graphics. I was expecting NeoGeo+ sort of hardware, planes and sprites. 3D just puts me off, I don't like the aesthetics. Also as Pixelboy indicated, some of us here operates in old terms, not just the look and feel, but also actual hardware limitations. OMNI for example has limitations, it can produce 2 planes, 64 sprites, etc. I must navigate through that. That is the fun part. When I play a SNES game, half of the beauty is the gameplay itself, half of the beauty is what the developer managed to extract from the hardware. Let's say, Axelay, that is quite a technical feat, and that makes the game more impressive. Any kind of help? Ok, how about being my angel investor and paying those fees. Let me explain to you. 1) I have tried to get licenses many times. 90% of the time I get radio license silence. 10% I get "no". I don't get proposals, I don't get information, I get "no, not available". 2) I don't know if you have any idea about the usual sales number for ColecoVision homebrew titles. 80% of my games can't cross the 100 copies barrier. A couple of them crossed the 200 copies mark. Now of course there are manufacturing costs. Packaging can be very expensive, particularly in such low volumes (and if you have seen my Super Game Module packaging for example, you know it is like nothing in the homebrew field). Then you divide the numbers you just gave me by the numbers I just gave you and yeah.... I don't think many ColecoVision fans can afford a $100+ game. Best route is just change name, graphics and other elements and create a clone. Reality of this hobby, Tommy... Unless of course you want to be my angel investor.. Think about the benefits, the whole AtariAge community would love you, many would buy Amico. I see that as a great use of your $11M marketing budget. [EDIT]: Not trying to be sarcastic or anything. Dead serious. I am open to talk. [EDIT 2]: my wife got really upset about my response to you. So just to clarify, I was just trying to lighten up. My sense of humor may seem a little acid sometimes. And my answers tend to be a little dry as many here know. That said, I didn't mean to sound rude or sarcastic or anything. In fact I appreciated your offer for help. I was just being shameless and taking the chance to try to get an investor. I bet you have better things to invest on, but hey, I could n't resist. Seriously, no bad blood here. Game on, Tommy! But thanks anyway. All the best with Amico.

Changing subject to a more pleasant topic, for those contacting me about the boxes, i will start replying back tomorrow with all the details. So if you haven’t got a response, no need to worry. We haven’t reached 50 people quota yet. For those getting the boxes, you are also invited to participate on something else. More info to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

From zdnet... https://www.zdnet.com/article/the-new-intellivision-amico-console-aims-to-revive-family-videogames/ And I assumed NeoGeo like graphics for some reason... Anyways, you don't have to worry about me.
