    It's amazing. In 1990, the high school I graduated from was destroyed by the only f5 tornado to ever hit the Chicago area. IIRC, it's also the only F5 to ever strike the US in August (ath the time). I was watching some videos, and even though I despised the school, dreading the way my peers would abuse me physically and mentally every day, I still shed a tear.

      We all got a little physical and mental abuse in HS. I wish I had gone to a hippy private school ran by 1960's hippies in leather sandals. My kindergarten teacher in 1978 was a recovering hippie complete with leather sandals and a VW bus (we all rode in it to go to the local dairy farm on a field trip).

      But wow that's weird that your HS got flattened by such a rare event. Perhaps God wanted to erase the horrors that went on there.
