Since you have a Tom Servo avatar, I'm giving you a MST3K response.

I think I have noticed a flaw with this setup. While playing Baby Pac Man, the right button controlled the left flipper, and vice versa. Seems it flips the left and right buttons, and that is an issue with the dongle, and not the Seagull 78. I am going to find out about rewiring a seagull 78 to reverse this . Tested with the 8bitdo arcade stick.

I'm actually looking forward to the Intellivision Amico.

I've got a Collectorvision Phoenix on order, and I could see myself buying the new Amico...

I have enough consoles eating up space at home. I'd be more inclined to buy software for existing consoles, than another box to have to plug in and dust off from time to time.

Someone needs to hack arcade Tapper into flinging tacos, instead of beer.

If they have a demonstrable working prototype at E3, I will eat my hat. My hat is safe. I mean, if it was working, they'd be in the main hall.

YES! That's the article. There was an HTML version eons ago, but this suffices. Thanks!

As long as we're looking for old Atari gags, anybody got a link to the old 2600 Connection "Windows 2600" gag?
-
Seems like I haven't posted anything clever about this in a while. You're going to have to keep waiting.

There's an 8-bit homebrew, whose name I forget, that allows four way firing, and the game is just as difficult. If it was done for the 7800, I'd like a 4-way fire option.

Can't the OUYA be hacked to avoid this?

I never used to have problems posting a link to Youtube videos. I would paste the link, and it would embed the video. Now, I have to use the tags and even that doesn't always work.

How about a dedicated place for people who just post videos
Inky replied to Flojomojo's topic in Site and Forum Feedback
Isn't the "Publications" sub forum for this sort of thing? I had thrown out the idea for a Podcast sub-forum a long time ago. Maybe a "Podcast and Video" sub forum would be a great idea here. Put that in the publications forum. -
My plan is to get one of these at some point. I find it odd that an Atari 8 bit computer can work on a ordinary smart phone USB charger, but the consoles can't. Again, I'm ignorant on all of this.

OUYA you say? OK, I don't know why I can't embed the video... https://youtu.be/1F1YyDPZLX8?t=1265

Got into a discussion on the NotmyatariVCS page on facebook...

I kinda knew there would be something more needed, as I am a dummy, but I know things are generally not as easy as they seem to be. Heh, once I had a 2600, but the original power supply went out, and the replacement had a "breakaway" plug portion that uncoupled the wire if someone were to trip on it. Lo and behold, a friend tripped on the cord, the cord uncoupled, and he reversed the polarity by accident when he recoupled the plug, and my 2600 went bye bye!

Dear lord, when I received the email - which these all arrive in my junk folder appropriately - the joystick was the first thing I noticed. Dear these people are clueless.

That's freakin awesome.

It's a variation on "Announcing an announcement of a pending announcement announcing a further announcement."

Rampage Review... unappreciated or overrated? Arcade port favorites list...
Inky replied to gorfcadet's topic in Atari 7800
Does the 7800 version of Rampage have the same set of cities? The reason the arcade game starts in Illinois is because MIdway is in Chicago, and the reason the last two cities are in Homewood, IL and Plano, IL are because one of the creators of the game and the company Game Refuge are in homewood, and the small town of Plano is where the programmer lives.
