I still have the 29th Birthday Adventure cart CPUWIZ made me... and I'll be 45 in June!
CPUWIZ made me a special cart several years ago too. CPUWIZ and Pac Man Plus have both been HUGE assets to the Atari community at large.

I still get toys, every year.

Not THOSE kind of toys!

Check out Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest for some GOOD Atari 7800 scrolling platforming action!!!
There are so many PmP games I need to get. Scramble and Frenzy/Berzerk are the only two I've purchased so far.

Scrapyard Dog fails on sooooo many levels, and was the only original scrolling platformer released on the system. It's just not a fun game, at all. It's an uninspired slog of an experience.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Scrapyard Dog is a horrible game.

Too expensive, lackluster game selection.
I'll pass. -
I have an idea for cheesehead, but all I have on my office PC is Paint. Grr.

Back in 1983 almost every school kids in my playground, every adult at the water cooler and every family can't stop talking about this new TV mini series call 'V' I try to capture the feel of the series by turning the show into a classic 80s anime style. Have fun. I drew it all on wacom tablet and using Clip Studio Paint Pro.
That's badass. I always wanted a videogame of V. I saw it as a laserdisc gamer, like Firefox.

I think 7800 Klax is harder because of the screen orientation. IIRC, the arcade was vertical, where all home games are horizontal.

Does this model have the expansion port?

I'm actually surprised that #NotMyAtari hasn't thought of a plug-and-play pong unit.

I stopped by there on the way to MGC! I even bought a hat. I asked the ranger on duty if he's heard all the jokes. He said "Yes."

Jaguar became a dental machine, it would be the highest honor for the ataribox to become a cash register
I'd be amazed if it was even turned into a bong.

Another great year. Talked to Dauber, frankodragon, and Inky at their booth about Shatner and tacos.
Also ran into Crazy Climber. We managed to not cross paths the last 4 years or so even though we both were always there. He said he'll come back to the forums eventually.
Huh. I must have missed him.

P.S. Speaking of getting older, not looking forward to my B-Day this year... I turn the big 5-0.
I turned 50 last July. Not fun but it beats the alternative.

I turned 50 last year as well.. Ugh

What's the difference between the Legends Flashback, and the Legends Flashback Deluxe other than an SD card?
-
Dongle works with the Vision-dapter. I tested it on the Atgames Legends Flashback. I'm guessing the DB9 port on that doesn't give enough power to work, as the pairing light never came on.

I have been removed as a contributor, founder, investor on the IGG page. I can no longer comment or see what the pigeon total is now. Bittersweet moment. It is all up to Lodmot now.
My condolences.

There was a joke included in that post of yours?
Referencing the Atacobox by default registers any comment as a joke.

I'd comment.. But why bother at this point? It's a scam. I'm convinced that Atari si running a "pump and dump" stock scheme (that ironically doesn't seem to be working.)

I finally had some time to work on the ProSMS and got an ugly prototype together.
Reminder : I won't be mass producing and selling these, but the design materials will be freely available once completed.
Jumper on the bottom selects one or two button mode, this'll be a locking switch in the final. Operates happily with super long extension cords and all other sorts of inconveniences. The set of blue resistors on the left are current limiters to protect the RIOT in case a game configures any pins as outputs. Decoupling capacitors are hidden underneath the board.
Now to try and cram this into a dual DB9 hood
.I actually wouldn't mind making a Game & Watch. It'd be a good way to get rid of the hundreds of low-end PICs I have around
.But something like that would be expensive to manufacture from the upfront tooling costs. You've got numerous small plastic pieces, one or more fixed character displays, and the metal plates on the case. The (real) Nintendo ones are incredibly well made despite their simplicity.
Excellent!
ProSMS? What is this, and how did I miss this?

Dauber and I had a great time at the MGC. It was awesome meeting so many people, people we've known previously, and people we never met before coming up to our table and saying "I love your podcast!"
we're already talking about next year. Some changes to the podcast are coming, but we're talking about maybe having a party for our fans and members of Aatriage, but we'll keep you all updated on that. It's still a freaking year away!
I hope to run into some of you throughout this year. I'm planning on going to the Vintage Computer Fest in Chicago in September, maybe the gaming show in Bloomington in a couple weeks. If you see Dauber or I at any of the local arcades, feel free to say hi! -
Inky what did the final high score end up being? Was fun to watch people compete as I passed by at various times and watched the high scores climb.
