As I posted in another thread on a similar topic, I got the bluetooth Genesis dongle working with my 7800 and my Sega Master system. I'm really digging this. I was thinking of testing this with my Vision-Dapter on my PC. My PC has native bluetooth, but if I ever use vision dapter on a non bluetooth PC, that may be a good solution.

I had to test this on my Sega Master System.
Works fabulously, with and without the rapid fire module.

A day in the life of John
I really really wonder if he's autistic. This is not a slight towards John at all. I have two children on the spectrum, and the in the way he defends the ataribox, I see hints of that.
Yes, I'm being sympathetic.
Must be my own psychiatric drugs kicking in.

Did I miss it, or has no one found the aptly named Fred and Friends taco truck taco holders yet?
I wonder if I could use something like that for a Raspberry Pi case...

When my kids were younger, it was always a treat to them whenever I would hook up my atari.

I could have sworn I read this thread before.

But the Impossible Burger is made on same conveying grill as the Whopper, so you'd be getting Whopper grease on your Impossible burger!
And well there will be animal fat contamination at Taco Bell. Anyway a better place to get your news is from the real PETA group:

Another release already? Damn.

Yes... I'm already considering changing a lot of our new titles to the following...
Burgertime = Tacotime
Night Stalker - Taco Stalker
Tron Deadly Discs = Tron Deadly Tacos
Astrosmash = Tacosmash
Shark! Shark! = Taco! Taco!
Demon Attack = Taco Attack
Triple Action = Taco Action
AD&D, Treasures of Tarmin = AD&T... Advanced Dungeons & Tacos, Tacos of Tarmin
Sub Hunt = Taco Hunt
Utopia = Tacotopia
Happy Trails = Happy Tacos
Let the box art Photoshopping begin!

If you actually create games with those names, I'll buy an Amico on the day it's released.

Sometimes, I like a taco with nothing in it other than onions, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa and cheese.

...and Professor Pac-Man!

As bad as this game is, I'd like to see it done for the 7800.

One other thing.. what is the USB cable for the dongle used for? Charging, or firmware updates?
-
Has anyone tried this on a straight up 2600? I'm curious to see how well it works.

4. Desert Falcon ("Zaxxon" in the desert...a 7800 original and a shamefully underrated title)
Strongly disagree. desert falcon is very OVERrated. It's just not fun. The setting is unique, but the graphics are muddy, making it hard to navigate. Really bad game.

If I remember right Xevious game looks at the switches on 7800 for one or two button mode.
It does, but if it detects a single button controller, it maps both bomb and shoot to one button, regardless of switch position.

I noticed that Xevious behaves like you have a one button controller plugged into it.
I think what happens here is that the game sees the dongle as a one button controller, as it takes a few seconds for the 8BitDo controller to pair (Xevious immediately tests to see if a one button or two button controller is plugged into the console and automatically selects what it thinks is the proper joystick mode). All other two button games I've tested so far work perfectly.
I'd like to get a version of Xevious with two button support enabled with no checks for controller type to test this, but I wouldn't know how to go about this.

One thing I adore about the Antic podcast are the sheer number of interviews (or as the probably better call them "oral histories") with people that have worked in some way with the Atari 8-bit (and some times other platforms.) It's important to get these stories out there from the mouths of the creators so that the golden era never truly passes away.
Someone should start something similar with Arcade game creators. I may try to transition Pie Factory that way.
