  1. Out of all the Atari products I own or have ever owned, my 65XE is probably my favorite product. I just wish my parents would have gotten me one as a kid.

Yeah, it has little benefit anyways I feel personally so it's no big deal.

Today, the 65XE and 130XE are pretty much the same. You'll probably never use the 130XE's ECI port, and the new memory upgrades have made the 130XE's extra RAM obsolete as well.

(And yes, I also coveted the XE machines for years back in the day. I still think they're pretty sharp-looking machines.)

  2. Methinks is probably my favorite word. Right up there with Flirzelkwerp.

Say what you want about Paul Gilbert's performance in "Women of the Prehistoric Planet," that was a pretty impressive back-flip. Unsurprising that he was an aerialist earlier in his career.

  5. My daughter's senior honors recital was yesterda, and sadly, she didn't get to do "Dying in L. A." by Panic! at the Disco, because she was having trouble with the lead in to the song.

My condolences. I've had that experience a few times myself in recent years.

  7. Thanks to 8Bit Classics and the XL/XE USB Power Cable, my 65 XE is now (seemingly) working! I just need to test it in longer play sessions to be sure.

  8. I figured it out. The new Sonic looks like ET with blue fur.

  10. The worst thing about depression? Felling like shit, then realizing people have it way worse than you, then feeling like even worse shit for feeling like shit.

I wish you the Best Inky my friend!....I often have more of a subtle, I guess feeling of Dread would describe it...But these things tend to pass with time.

      AAA177

VG, depression is indeed as you describe...no one who doesn't have it in a clinical, everyday-event sense can understand it. From that viewpoint/aspect, it is accurate not to necessarily feel bad about the relationship to other people's situations. I think, though, when it is a specific thing causing depression -- such as loss of a job -- that is when one can appreciate that others might have it worse. I have experienced both states. Good input on the discussion...

  17. It's amazing. In 1990, the high school I graduated from was destroyed by the only f5 tornado to ever hit the Chicago area. IIRC, it's also the only F5 to ever strike the US in August (ath the time). I was watching some videos, and even though I despised the school, dreading the way my peers would abuse me physically and mentally every day, I still shed a tear.

That was one of those events where I remember exactly where I was when it happened. Too close for comfort (our sirens in Indiana were going off) and I felt so bad for those people.

Already had a tornado about 2 weeks ago maybe a mile from my house.
