Why doesn't MESS emulate the 2600 when there are many more emulators out there for the 26 that work just fine? The only reason I ask is because I want to use the cheat feature in MESS to finally get to the end of Double Dragon

I want to recreate my 2600 collection. 90% of what I owned went with my step-brother after my dad and step-mom divorced... Here's what I want: Tapper, Tac Scan, Buck Rogers Burgertime, Air Raiders Pitfall 2 Frogger, Reactor, Q*Bert Breakaway IV, Basic Math, Indy 500 (Wcontrols), Basic Programming (W controls) Phoenix, Defender, Missle Command, JOurney Escape, Anyone have any of these for cheap? Not rich.

3-D games? You want 3-D? Falcon, 3-D Construction Kit, Hard Drivin, Hard Drivin' 2, Race Drivin, Starglider 1 & 2 (both excellent games), Archipelagos, Midi Maze, Midwinter, Elite, FOFT, Driller, Dungeon Master, Chaos Strikes Back, Galaxy Force, RC AeroChopper, Universal Military Simulator, Star Raiders (very underated version), Crazy CArs (blecch!), Hang-On, Test Drive,Flight Simulator II.. I'm sure there's more. Do yourself a favor and get Archipelagos and Falcon and Starglider 2.

I remember the first time I played Starglider.. You boot up and the music pipes in. Sttaaaarrrr glider.. Bum pa ba bum. ba bum ba bum ba bum... From Rainbird...rainbird...rainbird... Knocked my socks off. I remember when I bought falcon. I wanted to load it and start playin without going through the rather hefty manula. Once I did go through the manual, I found it to be one of, and quite possibly still, the best combat sims available.

I'm doing another Mod... I'm modding Freeway into something a tad tasteless... The Cars (just what I needed...) have become bombs, the semis have become missles, and the Chicken has become Osama Bin Laden (ironic, don't yout think?) Still haven't come up with a name for it, and the Osama graphic needs some changing. I've done 2 other mods.. For one I changed the characters in Outlaw to ghosts from Pac-Man, and was working on changing E.T into a "Grey" alien and changing the game to "The X Files". Unfortunately I lost all the work I did on that one.

How about a gathering in Chicago? I know of at least 3 people on this site that are from the Tri-State area...myself included.

Back in the 80's I had a TON of 2600 games and I thought Tapper and Buck Rogers was the highlight of the collection. Now in my watered-down collection... Hmm... I'd say Warlords and Pengo. I know they aren't 'rare' but they're fun and I spend a good amount of time on them. I also just bought Ghostbusters for $2 off of some guy at work. I think Ghostbusters is one of the most underrated games on the 26. I enjoy it immensely.
