  1. If memory serves me right they are a member here and i could of sworn i seen them post in other sections of Atariage

Oh yeah. There was a nice little series of flaming posts debating the ethics of grabbing buy it now items on ebay whenever possible and doing a 500% markup. I'm not re-visiting that conversation, but there are at least a few major supporters of her out there on the Atari boards.

  2. Yes it is! I couldn't believe it myself! I read that this variant uses the Atari label on the cartridge, but I couldn't find out why. Was there a shortage of Intv labels or just a surplus of Atari ones?

Has this been proven as a true statement? There was a dicsussion thread a while back where I posted pics of mine with the odd label and the conclusion at the time was that it was just mislabeled. My loose copy looks exactly like yours. Am I to assume mine to be the rarer bi-lingual version?

  3. You were right ... it was another reseller. Topol777 has the rarish items from that lot up for auction. I wondered when those might pop up again!

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1210197631311?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=121019763131&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

I noticed that today as well. I really wanted that Math Fun, but would never pay the price he's pushing. One incredible markup he has based on what he paid for the original lot. I probably should hold my tongue. I've already gotten into with one flipper this week on one of the other boards.

  4. Donkey Kong...enough said. ;)

My reason exactly. DK was my passion back in the day. To have a copy that is just as good as the arcade was insane!!!! (Yeah I know it wasn't just as good as the arcade, but try telling that to my 15 year old self spending hours upon hours playing CV DK).

  5. ...My auctions aren't for a rookie collectors, but for the collectors that been collecting for many years, like I, and they know the value of a CIB game, and the time you would have to put in, if you want to find it on your own..

In actuality your auctions aren't primarily for the collectors that have been collecting for many years, but for the wealthy collectors who have the means to build a mega-collection quickly. It's not my place to say if that's good or bad, just stating that it is the case. I've been collecting for 25 years now and while I have my share of rarities, I certinaly don't have the means to place a starting bid on most of your auctions.

  6. As a person that frequents both the Atari & Intellivision boards on a daily basis, there is a world of difference between them. There is definitely a greater sense of family / community on the Intelliivision board that the Atari boards just don't have. I love both systems personally, but the folks on the Intellivision board will make you feel at home whereas on the Atari boards there are the big players that rule. If you're not one of them, you're not really anything.

  7. I definitely gotta consider Lock n' Chase. Loved the game growing up and still like it on the Intelly.

I have to ask however, since you're doing the Chess Challenger release (that was supposed to be released sooooo long ago) are there any plans to do Horse Racing? It seems like someone had that one in mind at some point but I lost track of it. That's one title I've always wished would make it out for release.

  8. I am just beginning in Colecovision collecting, so I don't know what would be my rarest, but I know some which may be hard to find..

I have about all of the Imagic and Xonox games complete and mint. Wizard of Id's Wiz Math complete in box might be the one I have which I consistently see rated the rarest. I also have all complete Spectravision games like Sector Alpha, Flipper Slipper, and Frantic Freddy. Up n Down, Threshold, and some Sierra Online complete as well. I was told one of my B.C.'s Quest games was a box variation, don't remember which. I've got some other stuff which seems great to me, but like I said, I don't have extensive knowledge on rarity, so I will end it here.

Wow, just beginning in Colecovision collecting? Sounds like you you're pretty much at the end The stuff you don't have is for the most part easily obtainable.
