Thanks! I was beginning to think no one was around this board anymore.

Intellivision Ebay Roundup
Atari_Bill replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Boxed stuff seems to have taken a sharp uptick as of late. Seems new collectors coming in with money to burn. I know someone new on the Atari board is looking for certain CIB or NIB items and paying probably 5x what they’ve recently sold for. These aren’t rare items either. Just maybe uncommon. -

Congratulations. That’s a nice return. -
Yeah, I was lucky enough to get a nice boxed Sears controller for the Inty but this one has eluded me. I love the graphics on this box.

Yeah, it happens. I put a bid in that I thought was insane and wouldn’t be touched. I was apparently wrong. Nature of the hunt I guess. I’ve got a thing for boxed stock controllers. I’ve got them for most systems with this one of the ones I’m missing.

I know it’s a long shot, but I’m looking for the Intellivision II controller box. I tried my best for the recent one on eBay but just barely missed out. Any chance anyone has one for sale or trade?

Nice!

Depends on how bad the few big players want it. At that price the market will be slim. -
Anyone have an Oculus Quest? I need friends :P

I just got one from the wife at Christmas. Haven’t had a chance to try it out as of yet. -

The last title I needed to finish my Arcadia 2001 run (unfortunately is a Hanimex copy but I’m just not able to find the Emerson version) as well as a few boxes needed for my Colecovision and 2600. -

A few additions to my tiny Jaguar collection as well as an interesting Odyssey 2 variant. -
Anyone know much about “the wizard of Odyssey Great Game Giveaway” promotion? I ran across the following and I don’t recall seeing these with the sticker very often. I’m assuming it was a buy x and receive free game y. Anyone else run across one of these?

Finally landed the Shooting Gallery for my original Odyssey. Been trying to get it for years but the Big Odyssey buyer out there constantly ran prices up. Got a nice complete copy for a good price. Looks hardly used. -
Does it matter if it's your original console/computer?
Atari_Bill replied to Keatah's topic in Classic Console Discussion
100% agree. I still have my original 6 switch Atari and Colecovision complete in box from my youth. No way I’d ever replace them. The small collection of Atari games that i had are also still CIB. Some are not in great shape, but even then I won’t upgrade them since they’re my originals. -
My prediction for where collecting will be in 2020
Atari_Bill replied to homerwannabee's topic in Atari 2600
I’ve been saying for years that prices will drop off drastically as the population ages and moves on to the next gen of systems. I believe that to be happening now, but I will agree with you that the rarities mentioned above are holding value and even appreciating. I really think that this is the more advanced collectors looking to finally complete collections. I still think as this generation dies off and collections get redistributed that even these will take a hit in value. I think even NES might be just starting to get past its prime. I just don’t see a game collection no matter how impressive ever being a good long term investment. -

For someone anxious to see what it’s worth, surprising he hasn’t checked back in over a day. $10 hmmmmmmm -
I never thought about it that way, but you’re right. There’s no proof that the pic label was ever boxed. I would think finding proof of that now is pretty much impossible.

Thank you. I do need a few hardware pieces yet, but I’ve got the rest.
