Sears TELE-GAMES INTV (new) Overlay set
Atari_Bill replied to pboland's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I don't get into the whole custom overlay collecting typically. That being said, wow. I REALLY like this. I have an affinity for the Sears items anyway so that's probably why I'm drawn to these. I would be interested in these if you were to produce a set. -
Easiness of a Complete CIB Channel F library?
Atari_Bill replied to Blazing Lazers's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I've struggled with the ones you list above as well. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you for a complete set. Any time one of the titles I need come up for sale, it typically goes for more than I've been willing to spend at the time. -
Wow, I can see why it sold in less than 30 min. There were some pricy pieces in there.

Not surprised in the least unfortunately. It was almost a certainty to happen. :(

In at least one collectors guide they had a picture label listed for this but they didn't have a picture. Unless anyone can show me one, I'm going to strike that one from my list. Thanks Supergun! I believe one of the sets of pictures I looked at for verification was yours.

I've been working off and on trying to finish my picture labels (minus the Superman I'll never have of course), and want to double check on one title. On my spreadsheet, I had listed Arcade Golf with as having a pic label variation. I looked back at as many "complete" Sears picture label collections as I could find on the boards, but didn't see that title. Does anyone know if this has a picture label or is my info flawed? I'm hoping I'm wrong. I'd rather not have to hunt for that. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately that's how I see the hobby heading. I've been in and out of so many "collections" in my life that I see the trend. When I started collecting these games in the late 80's it was a fun and extremely cheap hobby that was really enjoyable. It's still for the most part fun, but in many cases no longer cheap. The lure of a quick turnaround to make profit is getting my frustration level to the point that the fun is all but gone and resentment takes over. I just hate to see that happen.

Unfortunately you are correct. $125 isn't an outrageous starting price. It depresses me to no end that it will finish much higher than this.

and unfortunately I don't even have the capital to place a single bid on your extra Deep Pockets. This was one of the top 5 of my all time want list and now will probably never happen. Sigh.

But how can that be???? The item states that it had been tested. It must be one of the magical few that works on both the 400/800 & 2600!

Ok. Gotta say wow! How could a copy this nice sit around for so long and never be opened? I'm envious to whomever ends up with it. I don't have a chance at it. Good luck to those who do. It would be a nice addition to any collection. (((Sorry if I spoiled it for anyone )))

Ok, I gotta ask since there are reproduction DK boxes out there. Is this the real deal or a repro being passed off? I'm not sure how the reproduction boxes differed so I wasn't sure. It just seems too nice to be the genuine article. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 251197599553

Cool. Nice to hear he was flexible. Tough piece to find. -

Wow, I was looking at that on ebay myself but never thought it would ever sell for $200. Go figure. -
Not mine, except in my dreams. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150959876612

It sure is!!! Funny thing is, I like that label better than the original. Whether it is homemade or not, it's pretty sweet looking!

Did anyone see the Robot Chicken from last night? It had a bit showing what Rambo went through as he was being tortured while MIA. One of the torture devices was making him play E.T. on the 2600! HA!

I'm no expert, but it looks homemade to me.

No flame war intended, but listings like this even with a "make offer" option is going to be incindiery. When I used to sell on ebay, I started things at .99 and went from there to determine true market price. No complaints. Items always sold. The items are yours now and you have every right to start them at $10000 if you want. Just saying that your practices will turn many folks off. It certainly does to me.

As a collector and player, I want to thank you phatty for doing these. I didn't have the cash on hand to buy a box for my Lord of the Dungeons in your recent offering, but the boxes you made look outstanding! It is very appreciated amongst the true collectors out there. I was hoping you would see my post when I put it out there to find out if you approve of this type of turnaround on your product. Like I said before, I'm not opposed to folks making some profit, but when it they are buying limited runs just to dump on ebay at inflated prices, I find that despicable.
