  1. Albert is on it. He figured out a workaround for chrome, working on firefox. He's not happy. Was service providers fault.
  2. Slick! I cut and pasted the error in a message to Albert just in case it'll reach him quicker.

  3. Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to forums.atariage.com. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely.

What can you do about it?

forums.atariage.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Yes, Invision (the forum that hosts the software) let the SSL certificate expire, which is what is causing the error.  Most people are not going to be able to get into the forum as a result, which is just perfect.  I've opened a support ticket, but not sure how long it will take them to fix because it's 8pm on a Saturday evening.  Obviously I am not happy about this.

  4. I'm getting this now: Had to login via QT5 demo browser to login and post! Just adding here, as this broswer is primitive! Hard to navigate. Don't log out!
  5. I've already added one non-game, here's another if that's okay, a demo called Nemesis:
  6. LOL I just stumbled on the weirdest coincidence. I was looking for a Nemesis video for the recent music thread and found this: I guess they are not directly related to Nintendo. Weird!!!
  7. That looks sweet. If this was playable with the same or similar ghost personality attributes that allow the use of patterns(even if not matching arcade), it would be an instant classic.
  8. I agree, and take it even further. I like the correct aspect ratios for all those symbols. The others look squished. Even if you stick with that mode for them, maybe put them on a diet! (unless its just the format of the pic. I haven't played in awhile)
  9. Effin' awesome. Must have been a bit tricky with the curves too! Great job. I like the accurate version and the artifact version both! Both look great.
  10. Noticed multiple Chicken games, so this is the one I meant: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-chicken_1027.html
  11. Mainly the intros. Chicken! Slime. Necromancer. Quasimodo. Drunk Chessboard. Prince of Persia.
  12. Yeah, I would try to use artifacting only on the walls, and obviously it would have to line up so they are all the same color, idealy blue in this case. Obviously, they are not lined up for that, and sometimes you can cajole it into a good artifacting format and sometimes you just can't. The kind of double-lined walls that pacman uses looks like that would be hard/impossible. By the way it's looking awesome, great work.
  13. Well after thinking about this, a lot of AA polls involve debating about the poll or lack of options. You folks just enjoy talking about this stuff! That's a good thing.
  14. Sometimes I think this forum is too serious. It was just supposed to be a fun thing. If you have a preference pick it, if not don't. If you have trouble generally distinguishing the two or separating them then I guess this poll isn't for you! You like both equally or can't tell. I can tell by reading the posts over the years which folks are which, generally speaking. The poll was purposely designed to disallow fence-sitters. Either choose or don't vote. For fun! I don't mind mods closing it down if it is causing people to become upset.
  15. No, sorry you have to pick one. If you can't decide, best to stay out of it. :D It's a light-hearted thing.
  16. Yes. You need hardware to run the software. I get it. Likewise hardware would be essentially meaningless without software. It's more about where your interests lie. Anonymity provided for our resident trolls.
  17. What about games that don't use a number score but give a rank like Star Raiders or Action Quest/Ghost Encounters? Worth the trouble?
  18. I wouldn't worry about the resident trolls, just keep doing what you're doing.
  19. Heheh, thought it was going to be a port of the 2-person arcade driving game! Looks awesome, can't wait to try it.
  20. If this were being developed back in the day, would they go route #2? It sounds like that was the original intent? If so, I would consider going this route, but I also know it can be difficult/impossible to coordinate these things. Either way, great job on developing this!
  21. The first one in the comparison sounded better, but like you said, it may just be louder. It might not be a better quality recording. But it does sound better and if it is easier to get the recording better that way rather than tweaking levels it might be the better way to go. This might encroach on territory similar to people and vinyl cds. Good work.
  22. I don't work directly with debian or altirra, but I do use vulkan/vkd3d/wine a lot. For directx12 in wine, you need vulkan/vkd3d. In vanilla wine, directx9,10,11 go through opengl. You can make dx9,dx10,dx11 use vulkan by using winetricks dxvk. World of Warcraft can use dx11 or dx12. If I play that in dx11 mode without "winetricks dxvk" I will get a low frame rate, but after winetricks dxvk the framerate will sky-rocket. Not sure if anything here will help, just my experiences, might be inaccurate now. There are added complexities such as proton's version of vkd3d and managing specific versions of wine and other things. lutris and steam are good for these situations and might have specific install scripts for certain applications/games. For example, for Diablo IV, most people will just use the lutris install script to get it to "just work."
