  1. I'll be picking up a JagSD cart if they're available around the end of the year, thank you very much for the work put into this!  My issue, strangely enough, is that I can't seem to register for the site with my email, it says to 'Please enter a valid email address.' .. And thinking that I may have already registered, I requested a password reset a few times but no emails show up in my inbox.

Ha, same could be said of ports for any game, right?  I do have a SegaCD by the way.  For me it is all about the controllers, and I enjoy the controllers on the Jaguar just a little bit more than the Genesis ones.

I honestly do think the cool thing about Atari ST games (or any home computer games of the time) being ported is that they weren't as straight forward as plugging a cart in or putting a CD in, also, I hear of and have experienced old disks acting a bit flaky.  It seems with most of the Atari ST games we're getting a few benefits that weren't available in their original form as well.

I have a few NOS Cybermorph carts. For $50 I will remove the label and add a custom, one of a kind hand drawn label. ULTRA RARE!

I mean.. depending on the quality of the "hand drawn" part, $50 isn't all that pricey for commissioned art, plus you get Cybermorph, so who's the real winner here?

Nothing wrong with gray shells! The most important thing is enjoying the games themselves!

I definitely agree! Once I started getting my aftermarket Jag games in clear shells though, it's been a fun separate set and an easy indicator to tell them apart from my retail gray shells. So if I have the option, I choose clear. = ) Thank you for continuing to make that an option!

  5. Not really a game, but it would've been sweet if there was a way to play older 2600, 5200 etc games on the Jag. Because getting a decent picture on the 2600 is very difficult, having to mod the console and so on, while Jaguar outputs native RGB. Either an adapter for older cartridges, or a "Best of" from earlier generations.

Maybe the Jag SD project will in the future have firmware updates that will enable roms for older consoles, but I wouldn't be so bold as to suggest this to the gentleman making it, I'm sure he has enough on his plates as it is.

I mean, if I had a "Super GameBoy" like attachment for the Jaguar to play 2600 carts on, that'd be fancy, eh? lol.. I still have an unmodded 2600 so RF it is!

  6. I'm a huge Shadowgate fan, so it would be cool to see a Jag port of the ST version. Mouse support would probably be helpful, but they obviously pulled it off without it on the NES (along with Uninvited and Deja Vu).

I've never tried the ST version of Shadowgate, but the NES version is one of my favorite games, absolutely love the music.

Me too! I'm a huge fan... but I'm not so sure I see them doing well on the Jaguar.

Oh, yeah, I was just sayin' that's what I thought of first, definitely not sayin' they'd make for good ports. I still have my original DOS disks and was able to snag them complete again later.

  8. Here's a similar thread where I was asking about the 6 Tekegames titles sold post JTS but pre Hasbro.

    http://atariage.com/forums/topic/245413-post-jts-pre-hasbro-releases/

    Towers II

    Iron Soldier 2 (CD)

    World Tour Racing (CD)

    Zero 5

Iron Solder 2 (Cart & CD)

    Breakout 2000

Seems most consider them offical, albeit after Atari's main life, bc they were available at EB.

Looks like Air Cars was also released in this limbo time.

Those Telegames releases were available at EB? I haven't seen or heard that before, I mean, if so that changes perspective on Battlesphere and ICD Aircars.

  9. The Jaguar at it's best is when it's playing games like T2K and Rebooteroids, 'modern' re-imaginings of classic arcade games. I'd personally like to see this continue along with old-school style, Jaguar flavoured games like that Thrusty thing Cyrano is dabbling with at the moment. They're the things that appeal to me on the 2600 and 7800 also, and what I think is what Atari consoles should be about.

EDIT: ...and ST Super Sprint with spinner support... Just because I bloody love that game.

The re-imaginings or "2000" versions of the classics are cools, yeah, a Jaguar reimagining of Berzerk sounds like it'd be freakin' sweet. Slightly off-topic, but did anyone play that remake of Yar's Revenge that hit XBLA and Steam? I liked that one too.
