  1. I do like the underwater look and I won't come at you with any detailed comments as I, myself, don't know a thing or two about game creation or using RB+. What I will do though is wish you the best in creating something you are happy with and, in terms of selling a product, the Jaguar community in general is happy with.

  2. Black Ice / White Noise seems like it would've been a fun thing to play, also would've been cool to see Witchwood get released. Overall though, since Another World is one of my favorite games and it already got a great release on Jaguar, and one of the ST games I'd wanted to see on Jaguar got ported, Stunt Car Racer, I'm already pretty stoked.

  3. Nothing wrong with asking I my self had a Atari Jaguar given to me back in 99 a friend gave it to me he dug it out of the trash. I have no idea what happened to it. I think it was stolen. I still have avp it's why In on the hunt for one. Scalpers and hoarders are jacking up prices combine with YouTube videos collectors are driving up prices video game collectors need to complete there collections. 32x is also going to go up because people were harvesting it's sh2 chips for cps3 arcade machines.... Then you have angry video game nerd shooting it with bow. Most people own it so they could bash it. But I tell you doom on it with a bug screen TV was amazing in early 90s.

I know scalpers, hoarders, YouTubers and game collectors often take blame for spiking the prices on these items, but.. if it's what the item is actively selling for, and it's not a staple of life, I'm not sure what to say. I'm sure everyone in the Jaguar community would like to get a system or games for cheaper than the going rate and I definitely hope those looking can find a good deal on a system.

  4. I interested in getting some of these for the Jag (although I have a huge library of ST software and an STE right next to my Jag). Have the Jag ports been updated in anyway (music, sound, speed to run faster than 8mhz), or do they run the same as on the ST? I don't need to pay $70 for a game I can boot up and play already on the STE, but I'd love to have some of them for the Jag.

I can't answer with details other than yes, some of them run faster and some of them feature arcade sound. Heck, Joust pretty much features all the sounds.

  5. Hey guys,

I never had experience gaming on an AtariST when I was younger so these AtariST ports to the Jaguar are my first experiences, as well as getting me a bit interested in what was available for the AtariST.

So, instead of swamping the official thread with more opinions, I figured I'd ask here; out of the games that have been made available to play so far, which one has been your favorite and (since it'll probably become a part of the conversation as well) if you could only pick one, which would you love to see made playable on the Jag?

For me, it has to be Stunt Car Racer as my favorite game to be ported so far. I'd never played this game prior to the Jag version and I do tend to like Hard Drivin' for the nostalgia, this game seems to be a much better version of that game and feels like it runs well on the Jaguar.

As for something I'd love to see one day, though I've mentioned a few before, I have to say with no console version of Arachnophobia out there, I'd love to see that as an easy to plug in cart to fire up and play.

Thank you for the time and effort put into bringing these to the Jaguar CJ and thank you Gaztee for giving us the option of having these available as carts!

  6. Sorry, if it came to a misunderstanding here.

I can not say if Rainbow Island is running on a monochrome monitor because I could not test it or play it.

But I would like to play the game on my atari jaguar, because I really enjoyed Bubble Bobble.

We do have Bubble Bobble though, which is awesome!

  7. Took some time to crack the pro controllers open again tonight, unfortunately I didn't gain any ground, there's no left / up issue on either controller I've noticed, but no matter how I seem to adjust the boards or screws, I can't get them to stop trying to button press themselves. When I boot up AvP it asks me if I want to erase eeprom or Predator vision keeps shooting on and off, which I believe means the Option, * and # keys are having issues still? I'm not quite handy enough to know exactly how to fix my issues, but it seems the simple guide above isn't working for me.

Either way I'm not too troubled, but it's back to the ol' three button again.

  8. That is actually MY IDEA, not yours and it is already in the works. I hope the Jag-clone is released sooner than later and the quality is as good as the reproduction pro controllers.

And that is all I will say about that.

    Good day.

Why approach like this? The idea of clone consoles is definitely not your idea, but you're defending it as if PiKo just tried to swoop in and steal your thunder by mentioning a clone Jaguar would help sell more units overall? The conflicts in this community are getting confusing.

  9. Who's doing 8 bit ports? I'm no one here either, but.. seems strange to call out work being done as 8 bit ports then praise Another World (one of my favorite games of all time btw) which was a "16-bit" game and request Double Dragon arcade, which to the best of my knowledge lies somewhere between 8 to 16-bit.

Any and all completed work for the Jaguar is welcomed if it's fun or at least interesting.

  10. Quite a few of the ST Ports have not been given the Gaz release treatment yet....here's keeping my fingers crossed that all the finished ones eventually do. Would still love to pick up Gauntlet, Klax, Barbarian, Fernandez Must Die, Etc, Etc.

Not sure if you meant the Gaz release treatment and the last statement as seperate points, but those first ones ultimately were. The original set was pieced together as carts from Al through the forum and Gaz went on to offer boxes / manuals for them, which included Gauntlet, Klax, Barbarian and Fernandez Must Die.
