Speedy mode's intense with the rushing water and arena battle, freakin' awesome to be able to do that with the cart.

Just wanted to share my appreciation to the people who put an effort into bringing this game to the Jaguar. I'm happy to find this version is a unique beast all around. In my opinion, the deep blues in the Jaguar version make the subterranean area amazing. Also, it was great when I saw the letters on the access code screen replaced with: JAGPWR EXCLNT

Got my copy in the mail today. Gonna be fun puttin' some time into this to see how it plays on the Jaguar, thank you guys!. = )

I never got to play it, but I think Elvira: The Arcade Game would be neat to screw around with on the Jaguar. I know of the DOS version, but recently saw there was an Atari ST version as well. Either way, more side-scrollers would be cools. = )

Awesome, they all state "SEALED" now = ) .. I better buy what I want before they disappear!

I was just looking at this, I didn't understand either.. I did however just buy Elansar through your account! = )

I'm not an old-hand at this forum, but I assume this is where a comment about a list should start? I'd like to be on the list for getting nachos, it's a one-man list and I'm about to go fill that order.

Excited I wasn't too late for the 2nd run, just got my email for #277! = )

Awesome to hear you got your copy quick and in perfect shape. I'm #277, glad to at least be in line, even if I missed my shot on this second run. = )

A game I think would be awesome to see ported to the Jaguar would be Splatterhouse. I'm unsure how difficult it'd be to get the rights to do something like that, but, it's something I'd love to see either way.

I don't know.. that sounds like I might be taking advantage of the sorting system.

Thank you both for the responses, I appreciate it. I don't know a whole lot about the skunkboard, other than it's pretty difficult to acquire now. And as for the CD unit, I may be getting one just a bit down the road and I don't mind purchasing homebrews to (at least somewhat) support their creation. = )

Hello! I wanted to do a sort of introduction post here in the Jaguar section since I believe I've only posted here once. I haven't gotten used to the etiquette here yet, so, if intro posts are best kept in the Introduction area of the forums, I'll understand this bein' moved or ripped down. Sometime around the Jaguar's original lifespan, I remember being at an Incredible Universe and seeing Alien vs Predator playing on a Kiosk. For some reason, the overhead lighting in the corridors stands out as something that impressed me at the time. After getting a Jaguar of my own, I played (and did like) games such as Kasumi Ninja, Club Drive, Wolf 3D, DOOM & Alien vs Predator (of course.) I can't remember when I'd sold off my Jaguar and only a moment when I'd have the system again to play the Jaguar version of Wolf 3D about a good 9 or 10 years ago. Since then, I've been collecting various game stuff off and on and, as of last weekend, just did a pretty big trade with a friend for some of the Jaguar things he'd had stored away. I'd like to get back into experiencing some games I'd never played when I originally owned the system and am very interested in the homebrew games that have, and are, being released. I've got a few links I've been able to find, but, I was wondering, aside from the two homebrews I see available through AtariAge's store, are there any places the community might recommend to purchase homebrew games currently in stock, in either cart or CD format for the Jaguar? If anyone is interested I can post the photos of what I'd traded from my friend, but, for now, I'd just like to start with a good ol' greet and newbie question. = )

Recently got back into the Atari Jaguar, and with Another World / Out of this World being one of my favorites, I had to send an email and I hope I'm not too late to join in. If so, I'll probably still keep an eye out for anyone selling off a copy that doesn't ask for both my arms and legs. (Maybe legs.. can still play if I got my arms at least.)

Atari on HDTV [First post, looking for some opinions.]
Stage_1_Boss replied to Stage_1_Boss's topic in Hardware
Thank you for the replies. I'd been told the VCR trick somewhere and have yet to try it out, I think I will give that a shot before attempting other methods. I've been debating a system modded for S-Video but, to be honest, I'm a bit hesitant to install it myself. For someone who's not modded a system before, how difficult would you say it might be to get the mod working flawlessly? -
Some of those collections are very impressive, as for me, what I've got in the way of consoles is: Atari CX2600A Atari 5200 4-Port Atari Jaguar Nintendo DS - Electric Blue XBox 360 Premium Also, I know I've got a Vic-20 somewhere in storage with a few cartridges, I've been meaning to dig that up someday.

What is your favorite game, then and now?
Stage_1_Boss replied to accousticguitar's topic in Atari 2600
It's difficult 'cause my tastes haven't changed too much.. Then and Now it'd have to be: Berserk, Dragonfire, Ghost Manor / Spike's Peak, Moon Patrol or Vanguard. -
Hello all, I've been browsing AtariAge for quite a while and have finally registered here at the forums. I was wondering if a few people might be able to give me their opinions on something I'm attempting to do. I've got a 42" Plasma Hitachi 1080i HDTV that I'd like to get an Atari console functioning with. The console model doesn't matter to me as long as it plays 2600 cartridges, as I'm a cartridge collector that would just like to be able to test and play my games without having to have multiple TVs to do so. I've tried the basic method of hooking up a switchbox to the cable input, but the image keeps flickering off as if the TV's resetting every three seconds or so. It's a new switchbox and the console seems to function normally with another non-HDTV I'd tested it on, so I'd assumed that wasn't the issue. However, I've read that modern TVs are having difficulties with these set-ups, and I've seen that other people are modding their systems to run A/V and S-Video. Is there a way to get any model 2600 or 7800 system to function in this way without modding with HDTVs? I'd prefer not altering my current console since it is a 2600 A Promo Console [Just noticed the engraving on the underside a bit ago as I'd not looked to see the model # before.] Any help would be appreciated, all I'm looking for is a safe method that's stable to play 2600 cartridges on this TV. Thank you. [Also, I'd noticed there's no photo for the 2600 Promo Console, if that is still the case and it's wanted, I could see if I could get some clear shots of mine.]
