Yep, got the email with the info, thank you again! = )
-
lol No rush man, it's all good. = ) Just glad to snag one of these, they look great.
-
Order placed! Another bum out here in the US that wants one o' them glowy controllers. = ) Thanks for the effort put into this.
-
Pac, are you sayin' the Jaguar and it's retail library weren't polished and built for success? Have you played Trevor McFur?
-
I don't have a rotary for the Jaguar yet, soon as I get paid at the end of the week, I plan on grabbing one if they're available. = ) Looks great.
-
All I know is the Jaguar already has Club Drive, so.. there's no sense trying to perfect 3D gaming on the Jag after that, just focus on what could be unique and fun on the system.
-
I'm guessing whatever they could've created wouldn't have been any better than what we were seeing in 3D space on PC at the time. I forget when MechWarrior 2 came out, but that was freakin' awesome. It's not like the Jaguar had alien technology in it.

Dying in Another World doesn't set you back too far and the passwords are only like 4 characters long since there's not a lot of variables in playing through. If I was gonna pick a dream option, it'd probably be to have the option to use the SNES music.
-
If there was anything to separate this hypothetical extra run from the previous runs I would be on board again, just 'cause I love this port to the Jaguar so much. Either way, thanks for getting it out at all!
-
A year from now as those who've tried lay crashed off to the side, how 'bout we compromise and the person who gets furthest can just buy the game from Gaz? = ) (jokes aside, it would feel so much cooler winning it)
-
lol, I want to win, the desire is there, the actual winning is not.
-
Yeah, now it's around a grand and a collector's piece. Except, there's a bunch of other collector items around that price that just feel a lot more exciting.
-
I mean, I've paid some prices for Jaguar stuff but I can't bite on Battlesphere. All that comes to mind is.. "Well, if I'm dropping this cash on a game.. would I want Battlesphere or a Neo Geo AES title.."

The Official NEO-GEO Thread!

Incase anyone gives a hoot about the info I dug through online and wasted time on, I rallied up all the Neo Geo AES games that only have releases on MVS & Neo Geo CD, meaning no compilation disc games, no games ported to 16-bit or higher systems and no digital re-releases on modern console marketplaces. (Matrimelee has a PS2 "port", but it's supposed to be a direct sequel with some characters removed, others added and the end boss changed) I didn't include the Mahjong or Quiz games since they're only in Japanese and I only counted AES games, as there are plenty more MVS-only exclusives. 3 Count Bout (Fire Suplex), Andro Dunos, Crossed Swords, Cyber-Lip, Eight Man, Football Frenzy, Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash, Legend of Success Joe, Power Instinct: Matrimelee, Neo Geo Cup '98: The Road to the Victory, Super Sidekicks 4: The Ultimate 11, Thrash Rally. If you're looking for something unique for the Neo Geo home console, I am pretty sure that list is correct, lemme know if it's not. -

This just reminds me, I am still in need of either cracking open one of my AES Arcade Sticks (which I don't want to do) and figure out how to pinpoint my problems (couple buttons barely responding) or just gambling and purchasing another Arcade Stick (possibly a Hori stick, since those look like tanks). I've sorta put it to the side for now in a sort of 'I'll deal with it later' thing.. lol -
Sorry, what I meant is just overall game design with RPGs requiring more than Arcade style games. Usually it's assumed the games will be much longer as RPGs, (usually) lots of dialogue, making sure things don't bug out along the stretch and lots of designs. I'm sure it's gotta be more of a pain to polish an RPG style game and make sure everything works well than a high score style game. Please note, I love both kinds of games and I've not made either, so this is just me making an ass out of myself and throwing out an assumption.

REZ is a great game, so if there was a release like that, I'd be on board for sure. One thing I'd love to see make it's way to Jaguar though is a homebrew or port of a turn-based RPG or another Action RPG, I know that style of game requires a lot more than arcade style games though.

I cant help myself, I have a couple variants like different picture labels or a single cart Ghost Manor along with a double ender.
-
Ive got my Retron77 but work hasnt been friendly the past couple days, if tonights shorter, I'll try and test some of my carts that arent on the list yet.
-
I mean, it wasn't exactly gold to start with though..
-
Is a piece of hardware that allows you to play most game roms on your machine a good comparison to a single game release though?
-
As far as I know, the most praised Dreamcast homebrews have been 2D shooters.
-
I bet it's less than 10 years and more than 1 week, I could be wrong though!
-
All I know is the Jaguar's port of Another World smokes the SNES / Genesis ports and usually the 3D gaming on the system really doesn't stand up against PS1 3D gaming, etc.. so.. if they're new games being released for this system, I'd happily take fun / good looking "2D" games over games attempting to show what "could have been" that look and play poor in comparison.

Hot Rod and Whizz Kid are real fine gentlemen, they are.. ..I sure hope they both don't go straight to Hell. >,< lol, No luck this weekend, still one of the Jaguar games I've put the most time into in years, love it!
