After reading JBoy's blog about systems that didn't make through his selling extravoganza, I posted a reply about my systems that I have sold off. I also thought that it would be fun to share what systems that made it through my screening process and onto my must own list.

Atari 2600 - This is my largest collection with 186 games and no doubles. It is also one of my favorite systems to collect and play.

Odyssey 2 - This is an overlooked system that has many fun and cheap games.

Colecovision - I love the Colecovision with it's many great arcade ports. Seeing as I am the Colecovision HSC moderater it seems fit that I own this sytem.

Atari 800XL - I have a very small collection of games for this newly acquired system (2 games) but it has a huge library of games and is fun to learn to program for.

NES - My second system that I owned I will never be able to part with my NES because of too many fond memories and great games.

Genesis - Another system that I grew up with in my High School years I just can't part with this awesome system.

Sega CD - Some people might not like this system but it has lots of gems if you know where to look. The games are also very easy to burn to CD so I own about 200+ burnt games.

PS2 - Has some fun RPG's and acts as my PS1.

Game Boy - My favorite portable console.

Game Boy Color - Another good portable.

Game Boy Advance/SP - Another good portable.

Nintendo DS Lite - Has lots of great games for it.

Gamecube - I love the games for this system. It's currently in my daughters room because I use the Wii for my Cube playing now.

Wii - My favorite system of the 3 next gen consoles.

Donkey Kong arcade - It doesn't get better then playing DK on the real deal.

Today when I came home for lunch I had a wonderful surprise waiting for me in the mail. It was my copy of Actionauts that Rob so generously gave to me for low low price of $0. After work I got some time to sit down and play some Actionauts. I got to the 5th level which was the first level that I had to actually think to complete. Unfortunatly I found a bug in the game and couldn't complete the level. My arrows all turned to a garbled mess and I couldn't tell what I was programing the robot to do. I don't know how I did this but this is an unfinished game so what can you expect.

Here is a pic of the box. It looks so pretty and new, Rob signed and numbered every box and cart. My cart # is Corey/250. Since my copy was one of the extra 50 copies, it has my name in place of the number because it is not one of the 250 copies that were sold.

Here is a pic of the cart. I could not get a good picture of the cart to save my life because of the shiny label. It looks just like the box and is also signed and numbered the same.

The manual is only 2 pages on the inside with a sticky note that is personalized by Rob for each copy. The front is the same as the box and cart and the back has credits for everybody involed in this game. My note says "Corey, the box got a little bit bent because this was one of the very 1st ones out the door. Figured you wouldn't mind. Enjoy, Rob." The box only has a small mark in the top left corner as seen in the pic. Rob explained to me that he was still learning how to glue the boxes properly and bent it.

This is a copy of the original design notes for Actionauts. It basicly just explains how the game works, and is 4 pages long.

This is a screenshot of the first level maze screen. This screen just plays out your commands that you programed.

This is a screenshot of the program screen. This is where you program the robot and tell it what to do.

This is a really cool game to have in my collection and gives me a unique game to talk about, if I can find anybody to talk about it with.

Here is a pic of the glitch I found in the game. This time I managed to do it on level 6 so I don't think it has to do with the level you are on. Notice that two of the arrows are scrambled and the top arrow has dissapeared. I can't scroll the screen up and I can't tell what arrow I am on. The run command on the bottom has also dissapeared and I can't change the arrows. This is a really fun game and very challenging. I don't mind the bugs because this is an unfinished game, so what can you expect. If this game would have been finished and released it would have been one of IMAGIC's & Rob's better games.

I got my 800XL w/256k upgrade, 1010 tape drive, and 1050 disk drive/with happy upgrade in the mail yesterday. I spent what time I could yesterday typing in a game program but only got 1/2 way done before bedtime. I only have Frogger and Star Raiders for it so far but I plan on getting a multicart & SIO2PC cable next.

I received my Donkey Kong control panel in the mail a few days ago and have it hooked up. Now the only thing keeping me from playing DK is one little stinkin 7 pin power cabel for the sound board. I found somebody that says that they might have one, but so far hasn't been able to find it. Once I aquire that cable I can start my training to become the next King of Kong.

I got my Donkey Kong board and harness installed. I can't check it because the video cable is cut off at one end and I don't have a sound cable. I ordered both cable from Quarter Arcade for $10 each. Once those arrive I will be able to test the board but I still won't be able to play until I get a Control Panel. I found one for $85 so that will be my next purchase. After I get the CP all that I have left is cosmetic stuff to buy for it. Hopefully the board works fine so that I don't have to buy another one.

When I left my house to go back to work after lunch I stopped by the mailbox to get my mail. Upon opening my box I noticed that I had a large package. I instantly knew what it was. My DK board and wiring harness has arrived. Now I'm sitting in work with 1 hour and 9 minutes remaining until I can go home and hook up my board to see if it works. I will keep you all posted once I get this baby hooked up and running.

To start things off I just want to let everybody know that this is my first post of my first blog. I will be updating with my projects and any new purchases for my collections. I'll also make sure to put any interesting stories of my life as they come up.

Right now I am working on converting my Nintendo VS. Unisystem into a Donkey Kong. For those of you that don't know I recently got a free VS. Unisystem from the local Salvation Army. I spent some money and time fixing it up to look brand spankin new. Now after all that trouble, I decided that I would rather have a DK machine. All of the games on the Unisystem are NES games with some minor changes to them and I already own the NES versions. My Unisystem was origionally a Popeye before it was converted to a Unisystem and now I'm transforming it into a DK. I already got lucky on ebay and found a board and wireing harness for $60 BIN which is a steal. I should be getting it in the mail tommorow, hopefully. Next on my list is to get a control panel and the vertical mounting bracket for the monitor. I also need to get the marquee, bezel, sideart, a new light fixture (mine doesn't work), and the instruction cards, but I can live without those for now.

My next big purchase is going to be an Atari 800XL. I got a guy that is selling me the 800XL with a bunch of accesories in a few days. That means alot of my money will be going into that. I'm probably going to be selling some more of my games and systems off to help my funding for my DK conversion and my new 800XL. I'm trying to go through all of my stuff and figure out what I don't ever use and get rid of it. It is harder then I thought because everytime I find something that I never use I think to myself, what if I will want to play this when it's gone. So far everthing that I have sold I have no regrets but it's just so hard to make that decision to get rid of it.
