  1. Here is the new poll for week 3B. All of the games were requested by you guys, the players.
  2. Super Mario Bros is my favorite with SMB2 being my second favorite.
  3. I havn't either and I have left mine on standby since I bought it 1 1/2 years ago.
  4. So just unglug the Motion Plus when you charge your wiimote. You could never charge it with your nunchuck plugged in, so why is this a big deal for the charger.
  5. That is exactly why I love the Zelda series to this day. Exploring a massive world and using my noggin to figure out what to do is what this game is about. If you don't like to explore and think then Zelda is not your game.
  6. That's exactly what I was trying to say, every Zelda game borrows from the previous games while bringing something new to the table to call it's own. I personally like this, but I also understand that some people might get bored with it. There also are people who are new to the series and have not followed it from it's start on the NES. I am very passionate about Zelda games so I sometimes get overly dramatic when talking about them.
  7. 11,060 I was never any good at pinball games.
  8. Wii Wii Wii, it was the Wii!!! What did the contestant say?
  9. When the first Resident Evil came, there was nothing like it for any home console before it. Alone in the Dark might have started the genre but Resident Evil paved the way.
  10. I would say RE: Code Veronica on the Dreamcast, followed by the RE1 one on the PS1.
  11. I have no issues with people not liking it, if you don't like it that is your decision. I just don't understand how somebody could not like it becasue it is too similar to OOT. If you use that logic then you shouldn't like any of the Zelda games except the first one. I'm going to stop here and back out of this conversation. Sorry if I made anybody angry, but the Zelda series is my favorite game series so I get more involved when talking about it. I hope you guys can understand why I reacted the way I did. Peace be with you my video game enthusiest brothers.
  12. How can you even include music into gameplay. Music is music, it doesn't even effect the game at all. Every Zelda game uses the same music. The song that plays in the first Zelda is used in every other Zelda game that I can think of off the top of my head. This is what Zelda is about. You go into dungeons get a new item, defeat the boss, get a heart piece, and collet some item. In OOT you collect 3 gems and then 5 coins. In TP you collect 3 fused shadows and then 3 mirror shards. ALTTP you collect 3 medals and then save a bunch of maidens, I think 7 including Zelda. The point is every Zelda game you collect some item to get to the end of the game. Epona also appears in Majora's Mask and Minish Cap. That is because that is the only way to contain him. Ganon is an unstopable being. He is the exact same Ganon in every Zelda game, where as Zelda and Link are different in the majority of the games. I'll give you one point, you do use different tunics, but as you also said it is used in several other Zelda games to include the first to cut down damage. So OOT just improved on it and then was passed to TP and will prbably be passed again in the next big Zelda game. It is a feature of the game that works well. My main point that I am trying to make is that all of those things that you listed are features in a series of a game. All games borrow features from earlier games in it's series. Each Zelda game has it's own uniquenes while still following the other games to keep that Zelda feel. OOT is about time travel and using a magical ocarina. In this sense you could say the OOT is a direct copy of the original zelda, Zelda 2, ALTTP, and Links awakening. The first two games on the NES use a magical flute. ALTTP uses a flute to call a bird that warps you around the game. Links Awakening uses an Ocarina to give things life, warp, and use for various things in certain spots, just like the song you learn from Zelda in OOT. So with that being said what is the main theme in OOT. You play a magical Ocarina for various things and use the Master Sword to travel through time. In TP the main theme is moving between light & dark dimensions and shapeshifting. If you ask me TP copies more from ALTTP then from OOT. Lets take a look a the main theme in ALTTP, you move between light & dark dimensions and you shape shift in the dark dimension. Why don't you mentions how Season of ages is borrows from OOT, you travel through time and play an Ocarina. If you have actually played and beat every Zelda game you will notice a trend. Every Zelda game borrows an aspect from another Zelda game, this is nothing new with TP. OOT borrows many things from Zelda games before it just like TP borrows from Zelda games before it. In TP if you traveled through time and played an Ocarina then you might have a leg to stand on, but the last time I checked in TP you don't have an Ocarina and you don't travel through time.
  13. No. According to the Wikipedia is RE2 a straight port of the Dualshock PSX version and RE3 was also based on the original PSX version. (Veronica is based on the PS2 'X' version.) Thanks for the info. So how do they look then? Good question, I haven't seen any of the three as of yet, not even screenshots. I'd assume pretty much the same as the originals they're based on. RE 2 & 3 on the Cube look and play just like the versions that they were ported from. They were budget titles that were released right before the re-release of the first RE, to fill in the gaps of the series on the Cube.
  14. You do realize that all of the Zelda games are linked in one big timeline, so there will be parts that cross over. For example the place where you get the Master Sword. That is part of the overall story. You said that Wind Waker was better but failed to realize that it is a direct sequal to OOT. The whole story revolves around the events from OOT. TP has little parts that tie the game to the others but they are so small that you wouldn't even realize it if you didn't play the other games. Wind Waker throws the story from OOT in your face right from the get go. I still don't understand what you are getting at about the similarities between OOT and TP. Could you please list exact parts of TP that copy OOT.
  15. I don't understand the statement that I keep hearing about TP being a OOT rip-off. It is a Zelda game and all Zelda games have the same feel to them. They all borrow from the previous Zelda games just like any game borrows from previous games in the series. Can anybody actually name one thing that makes TP an OOT rip-off that isn't just a part of the Zelda series in general. What similarities are there you don't time travel and you don't play a magical ocarina, so what is there. They even got rid of the characters from OOT that they have re-used in Majoras Mask and Minish Cap.
  16. I started up a cold sorc last week. I also still have my lvl 66 bowazon from about 6 months ago.
  17. This game has ended. I hope you all enjoyed Space Fury.
  18. NOTE: THIS WEEKS GAME HAS ENDED! FRENZY Game Info Frenzy is the sequel to Berzerk and gameplay is similar. You are chased around a maze of rooms by various robots and your player must avoid their lasers and shoot them back to destroy them. There's only so much time the player can stay in a room before a "Robot Attacks" occurs and a smiley face of death moves in on the player. In Frenzy there are also reflective mirrors in place of certain walls which reflects shots back and allow you to ricochet your fire. Also unique to Frenzy are four "device rooms" with a special icon in the center of the room that may be destroyed for bonus points and a special effect within that room. -This game was suggested by: theking21083 -Skill level: 1 HSC Info -Post your scores in this thread and every couple of days I will update the leaderboard. -The cutoff for posting scores will be the second Wednesday after the competition begins, at 1:00 A.M. 19. Plus the Kill Screen terminates at a random point also The guys at Funspot think that Donkey Kong is Posessed Actually the kill screen is the only thing that you can predict. It is on the 117th screen each and every time.
  20. The controls - I find - are generally ok. The one area where I did have major trouble was in the scenerio where you had to protect the wagon from being burned. That required a lot of weapon switching (swords for the creatures riding beside you, the boomerang to put out the flames, and arrows for the flying birds) and I was constantly hitting the wrong buttons and doing the wrong thing. For me, it's the pace. I guess I'm just not used to it, but you spend a lot of time walking around trying to figure out what to do and where to go. I've not really played other modern Zelda games (though I have picked up many of them) so I don't know how Twilight Princess compares to them as far as pacing. At least now, I've got the underwater ability and am in the underwater maze ... again, walking around. All of the Zelda games are about exploration and puzzle solving. That's what makes them so fun for me. If you don't like exploring and puzzle solving then none of the Zelda games would be right for your tastes.
  21. I'll take note of that, but I have put some of those games that you listed on before and they didn't get much attention. The reason I put Frenzy on is because it is an awesome game. We might have played it last season but it was the first game that we played, and I felt that it should get the opertunity to be played again. When I make the new poll I keep two of the games from the previous poll that get the higher votes, 2 old & 2 new. I'll make sure and put some of the games that you requested on next weeks poll. If you guys want games then let me know and I have no problems putting them on the poll. I usually just go through my list and pick out games that I know are fun. There are still a lot of Colecovision games that I have never played so any suggestions help greatly in making the decision.
  22. Vote now for the game that you would like to play next, in the Colecovision HSC.
  23. Exactly, there are so many variables in the game that it is impossible to figure out or reach a top score.
