[Animal Crossing: City Folk]

I'm tempted to get this everytime I read this thread and see all the fun everyone is having. But is it as hard to get into as it sounds?

 

I don't understand much of what I'm reading, like going to Omaha, returning something named Katie that is crying, and a lot of other stuff I've seen in this thread. I've never played a Animal Crossing game before.

 

You get to name your town when you start the game. Omaha is the name of MrsMegaManFan's town. You can go to your friends towns if they open up their gate. Sometimes you will get a lost kitten in your town that you must return to the mother cat which is in one of your friends towns.

Looks like I'm behind the times here in Alaska. We don't get stuff here the same time as others. Movies don't come to the theatres here until they are getting ready to be released on DVD everywhere else.

Correction (5:26pm CST): I couldn't get on to Nintendo WFC, so gate is not open at this time.

[SOLD - $25 Final Fantasy 7 Green Label (No Instructions)]

I am selling a copy of Final Fantasy 7 for the PS1. It is the green greatest hits label and comes with all three discs which are in good condition and the case which is in excellent condition. The instuctions are not included with this game. This game normally sells for around $50 or more in complete condition but I'm going to be selling it today for the low price of $25 (OBO) + $5 shipping in the US. Incidentally I forgot I had my Wii on when I went upstairs to post website updates, so my town gate was open all night and all morning. I was standing outside Town Hall while I was "AFW" and somebody dug up the letters HI in shovel holes + left three hundred coins on the ground. I suspect Corey.

 

Will undoubtedly have my gate open again later tonight. Brooklyn was rockin at one point last night - that was the first time I've ever had four people in my town at the same time! Omaha was pretty cool though too since I caught my first ever Tuna there. (Finally!)

That's awesome. How freaky is that to find out that your friend was in that game. I bet you will never look at that game the same again.

The title says it all. I'm looking to buy a Sega Master System w/ all hookups (Prefer the original but will take the Model 2 or Power Base Converter) and as many games as you have. If you only have games for sale then give me a list of those because I might buy those also. I used to have about 80 games for the SMS system but had to sell it off several years ago. Some of my favorites are

 

Short Order/Eggsplode - Two fun games in one cart that uses the Power Pad. It's way better then all of the racing games and Dance Aerobics.

 

Space Shuttle Project - If you like Space Shuttle for the Atari 2600 then you will love Space Shuttle Project on the NES.

 

Gumshoe - A very fun and different light gun game that doesn't get much talk.

Me too. I can't wait until it's Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong 3 week. I'm probably going to be picking up a Popeye board pretty soon so that will be a fun one to play for the HSC also.

WOW that is some cool cool stuff!

 

We are all trying to connect to MMF's town right now (Brooklyn) but for some reason Nintendo's network is being flaky. I can connect to the Nintendo WFC (although it takes FOREVER) and see his town but can't actually connect to it. Same thing is happening when I try to connect to Goobvill as well.

 

This has been happening more & more lately - I think so many people got Wii's for Christmas that it's starting to clog up the WFC. We may just have to wait a while and try again later.

 

Yeah we are not having much luck either. I'm just leaving my town gate open for a little and I'll try periodically. Seems to be a bit flakey. Uggghh.

 

After I went thru all the trouble to load up on fruit to help get his town going.

 

Wow... looks like theking has been busy... I managed to get a few snowman items before our trip. I still need to time travel and talk to the reindeer as well.

No problem, Shannon - I totally understand. Today has been busy for us, lots of cleaning and entertaining!

 

I'm adding HatNJ here shortly. The gate to Omaha has been open more often lately now that MMF has his own copy of the game. Much easier to visit each other's towns via Wi-Fi rather than DS Suitcase!

 

Looks like there is a party going on in Atlantis. It's all full and I can't join. I was gonna show off all of my new toys but I guess I will have to wait. Maybe I'll post some pics of them for now.

How I do things is nothing compared to how the people coming across the border act. They leave messes, take anything that's not semi-broken and tend to fight, actually getting physical, over things that some places throw out.

 

I'm a lightweight doing it once or twice a month and if I see anything on a whim. Not even a hobby. So go ahead and be creeped out, it's all good, be glad you don't have thugs roaming the streets hunting for things and starting crap over throw-out items.

When I was living in El Paso there would always be Mexicans digging through the dumpsters every time I would take out the trash. I would just throw all of my garbage on top of them. I have no problem with dumpster diving but these guys were always there and they would always be in my way. The only thing that they would find in my trash bags is dirty diapers so they could dig all they want.
