Once you phone home you have a time limit to get to the landing zone in the forest or you will get left behind.

The first picture shows the cords needed. The cord on the right is needed for both models and the cord on the left is only needed for the 1st model Genesis. Also make sure that your A/V cord is coming out of the 32X and into the TV. If it is coming out of the Genesis then you will not see all of the game when you are playing. I hope that this helps. If not then my suggestion is to clean the games and the contacts on the 32X.
-
What model Genesis are you hooking it up to? I'm wondering because if you are hooking it up to the original model then their is a special cord that you have to buy that didn't come with the system. If you are hooking it up to the second model then you do not need this extra cord. The cord goes from the 32X to the genesis but like I said if you are hooking up to model 1 genesis then an extra cord is needed to attach to the cord that came with the 32X. When I get home from work I will post pictures of what I am talking about so that their is no confusion.

I finally got it. It took some tugging and then when I almost gave up it just kinda fell apart in my hands. Thanks everyone for all your help. I thought I was gonna break it for sure.

What's with the influx of N00Bs?

How long have you been in Alaska? Are you enjoying it? I was there for four years (I was at Fort Greely... not Kodiak). One of these days, I'll get back there soon. I got here Jun 10th so it's been about 3 months now. I don't mind it so much but their is nothing here. The ONLY place to go shopping is a tiny little Wal-Mart. No game stores or malls or any of that stuff. I'm on an Island so it's not like I can just get in my car and go to the next town. If you want anything you have to buy it online and pay outrageous prices for shipping. The upside is that I get plenty of time for gaming because their is nothing else to do. -
Raise your arm now raise your other arm... Raise your leg now raise your other leg.... Turn around, do the puppet master!

Excellent! The screenshot works so much better! I hit pause on my computer and turned on my game and they are almost exacly the same.

Unfortunatly I couldn't find the whole clip of this. It is very obvious that sombody that made this show is a fan of Jungle Hunt. It goes on for like 10 seconds of that kid swinging on the vines between when they are ending one skit and starting the next.
-
Ok I have painfully been serching on youtube to find a clip of this and the best I could come up with is it shows it for a brief second during the opening of the show at 52 seconds into the clip. WARNING: This show is intended for a younger audience, viewer discretion is advised. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzIBMIbPZps

The connection will be really tight at first and very hard to get your games out. Once you play games on it for awile it will start to loosen up and be way easier to take out games.

(UPDATE W/ PIC)Defender: another new obsession

Yeah I plan on it once I get off my lazy ass and go buy some blank tapes. Unfortunatly I am on an island in Alaska and the only store we have is Wal-Mart but it's 45 minutes away and after work I'm always too lazy to go there. I'll probably go this weekend and pick up some tapes. Then I gotta take my VCR out of my daughters room and hook it up to my gamin TV, get the wife and kids out of the house so that I have no distractions and play my little heart out for hours on end. -

Works well I suppose. Now I've got the urge to play Defender! Play it you wont regret it you know you want to! You won't regret it. -
Yeah I thought the same thing. It took me a second to figure out that the wood was a reflection.

you can get them for around $10-$12. $20 is alittle much but if that's all you can get then go for it.

(UPDATE W/ PIC)Defender: another new obsession
theking21083 replied to theking21083's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Here is a picture I had my wife take before she went to work. At this point I had already rolled the score 3 times and was working on my fourth. The score shows 840,450 but since I rolled it three times the score is really 3,840,450. As you can see I still have 5 lives and three bombs. I actually have way more then 5 lives but it will only show 5. I could have probably kept on going all night but after playing for over 3 hours I started to get tired and hungry so I just turned it off. I need to get a digital camcorder so that I can record my games and put them on youtube for your viewing pleasures. Just thought I would show you guys the picture cause I was finally able to get it to turn out. Enjoy! -
Thanks I'm sure I will love it.

My 7800 plays 2600 games like a champ. I just like the look and feel of a sixer better.

(UPDATE W/ PIC)Defender: another new obsession

The left button fires, the right button blows everything off the screen, and the 0(zero) button warps you but I never use that button. I've never really played the arcade version just alittle when I was young so I can't compare it but I love the Coleco version. I start twitching when I can't get my defender fix for the day. I was playing for 6 hours yesterday while my wife was at work that way I didn't have to hear her yelling at me to stop playing. -
Here in the states their is a new kids show called Yo! gabba gabba. My daughter was watching this show when I walked in the room and as I turned to see what she was watching their was a kid swinging on from vine to vine from right to left and the screen scrolled exactly the same. I realized that they took this from Jungle Hunt for the 2600. It looked almost identical except that the vines were red. It even looked like a 2600 game! I'll have to look through you tube to see if I can find this and post it. I just thought that you guys here at AA would get a kick out of this.

Sounds good I'll go check out those sites.

I have an Atari 7800 and never really played 7800 games on it much. I only used it to play my 2600 games with. Today i found somebody who was wanting a 7800 so I inquired about what they had to trade for it. Well It turns out that he has a 6 switch 2600 so I am now in the process of trading systems. I'm not sure if it's a hevy or light 6er but I really don't care I just don't like the 4 switch models. You guys might not really care about all of this but I'm excited because my sister and I had a light 6er when we were young and I always wanted to get one again. I always hated the buttons on the 7800 they just don't work as good as the switches did. Well that's all for now I'll keep yall updated when I get it.

Ok so I just bought a Vectrex and VecFlash and they are on their way. I was wondering if anyone could give me information about the VecFlash. I downloaded the game pack from the VecFlash website and I'm guessing that those are roms of the games. Does anybody know of a another website that I can get roms from? If anybody could give me any kind of information regarding the VecFlash it would be appriciated. When It gets here I want to just load it up with games and start playing.

I just bought the Vectrex off of Atari2600.com and ordered a VecFlash. Now I'm really excited and can't wait until they arrive. Hopefully I will have them by Friday or Saturday. I figured I would just get the VecFlash now so that I can hold off on buying games until I build up my other collections for the 2600 and Colecovision.
