  1. I have an old serial mouse here. If I plugged it into my 2600, think it'd do anything? I'd be rather amused if it worked in any way. This isn't a practical question, really, just a matter of curiosity.
  2. All I was doing was stating my opinion, sorry it irked so many people that I didn't just leap on the "that guy's an asshole" chuckwagon. Blah, I don't want to fight with anybody here. Can we just forget that I typed anything? My goat just died and I had to bury it, a friend of the family died recently and my girlfriend got stung by a bee today. Can we just call it even? Call me names behind my back like decent people, wouldya?
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/Tooth-Protectors-Atari...1QQcmdZViewItem I have that exact same cartridge, so I can't believe it's some kind of "prototype" as he puts it. Is that winged edge really that rare? I doesn't believe it. Somebody who knows needs to tell this guy what's up. EDIT: AUGH! WRONG FORUM! Can someone move this, please?
  4. I dunno. I'd be happy as a clam to even have a supercharger to play the starpath games, so I guess I'm in the "bleh blee blu" class of debate.
  5. Well hell and poo on me. I just figured it wasn't worth getting up in arms over a stupid ass t-shirt made by some stupid ass. My mistake.
  6. I DO have too much time on my hands. I'm not the one complaining about unimportant things, however. Being an atari fan is hard when there are so many elitist snobs around.
  7. If you folks are this upset and bothering to send nasty emails to some stupid corporation that could give two shits about you, you really DO have too much time on your hands.
  8. Looks very nice. I envy your nicely organized collection. I have all of mine in a drawer that's ready to collapse under the weight, haha.
  9. Thanks, PM sent. @ shadow, all the joysticks I have work fine, and I have one working set of paddles that work on both ports, so it's not (I don't think,) the system itself.
  10. Rarest game I now have is Tooth Protectors. Whoo!
  11. I have 94 2600 games and 6 5200 games. It's a very small collection. Tiny, really, compared to most of the folks here. I can't imagine most of them will want to take the time to post hundreds of games, label variations and whatnot.
  12. The second paddle doesn't work on both sets, in both ports. It's apparently not the button mechanism itself, as I pulled one off a working one and put it on a non-working one, which still doesn't work. I also have one set of working paddles, and both paddles work on both ports. Presumably it's a wiring issue somewhere, but I don't know how to find out where, and I wouldn't know how to fix it without dismembering the controller anyway.... which I don't want to do, because then it would be crappy and torn apart and I wouldn't want to use it.
  13. My girlfriend, being the best girlfriend in the world, went out and picked me up some atari games at a garage sale today. I then went down with her because she said they also had a set of paddles, and I've been looking for a working second set forever now. I got them for a dollar, they looked to be in good shape. I got them home and the button on the second one does not work. I have another set with the exact same problem. No jitter or anything, and I can't see any problems on the inside, so I assume a wire must be plooey somewhere. GRARG. This does not solve my problem of having a set of paddles where the button doesn't work on one AT ALL. Now I have TWO. Sigh.
  14. Haha. Good times, guys. Thanks for all the kind words. I can't decide if I want to sell it or not. There's of course the collector factor in my brain screaming "OH EM GEE A RARE GAME THIS IS THE HIGH POINT OF MY LIFE" and the I'm-completely-broke factor saying "find someone and SELL IT WHEEEEE". Sigh. Tough decisions. So the cart itself isn't technically a rarity 9 game? That makes me a little sad. I was very excited. Is it then an 8 or even less than that? I don't have the manual and I read that it didn't come in a box, regardless this store only has loose carts anyhow.
  15. Well, here's a picture. Sorry about the quality, it's from my girlfriend's cellphone. She was also the one who bought the game for me. Hooray!
  16. Well that is excellent. I checked it, it works just fine. It's a little beat up looking, dusty and the label looks like it might be slightly water damaged, but not majorly. I am very excited. The last thing I got was a rarity 5 or 6 I think, this is a completely unexpected find and just whoo hoos me all the live long day.
  17. at my local used games store for 99 cents. According to this site, it's a rarity 9. Is that accurate? If so... HOLY CRAP WHOO HOO. Will go plug it in to make sure it works and take a picture of it shortly.
  18. That's not ironic at all. It's just sort of amusing.
  19. Oh look, he wants free stuff. I used to write reviews for a metal site, I got some decent free stuff that way, too.
  20. I asked the same general questions a little while back when I bought a couple. It does look just like paddles, except it spins all the way around, and there's only one to a cord. I don't know about the Stelladapter, but it's only compatible with the Indy 500 game. I got a couple because one game on Stella's Stocking will be compatible with a driving controller, s'far as I can tell.
  21. Not a fan of the resolution of the actual picture on your mockup label. Too pixelated. Also, it's just art from one of the Megaman games.
  22. Yeah, man, ignore the people babbling on like a bunch of halfwits. Just enjoy it. Again, ignore the minority who are clearly not very bright. Most of us are just happy for you and happy that you wanted to involve us so we could share in your excellent find!
