  1. I'm also interested in knowing whats up? If they have been finished, we could have them put into production by the end of the month. I would like to see these things come to light. Best,
  2. I'm 6'4, 240 lbs... believe me, whatever we end up making, they will be available in ALL sizes. Any ideas for other shirts?
  3. It sounds like Curt has some real fond memories of arcade adventures... as for myself, I came along a bit late in the game with Atari. All I really had was Chuck -E- Cheese's lol, which honestly was as magical as Disneyworld at the age I was when I went there. We also had an arcade at Lakeside mall back in Detroit, I used to go there when I was a little kid when I went shopping with my mom. By the time I was about 6 or 7 it had closed down and they turned it into a Limited or something . After that, I lived in Florida and most of the time I would hit up a place called Greasey Pete's which was a Pizza place which beared a remarkable resemblance to "The Max" from Saved By The Bell, lol. Best,
  4. The geme was developed within Atari, and yes, it will be published. Best,
  5. If anybody would be willing to lend me copies of all three (or four) editions of Grey Matters, I would like to scan them and recreate them on the Lynx section of our website. Let me know if you're up for it! Best,
  6. I have a ripoff cartridge of the prototype Asteroids (CX5201) and to be honest, I love it when played with a self-centering Wico. The game would have been terrible on the regular sticks. I have never played Meteorites though, whats the deal with that? Best,
  7. Idea Revolutions... are you the guys who used to call yourselves "AtariArts" ?? I've been looking for you guys.
  8. I dont know how to exactly put this... so I'm just gonna say this straight out... ...caught a girl masturbating with a CX40. Okay that should be about as much detail as you need. Laters.
  9. Didnt the guys at Ebivision program a superior (16K?) version of Pac-Man? I know somebody made a few and gave them away, since they couldnt be sold due to copyright laws. Anybody know anything about this? I'd like to get my hands on one of those. Best,
  10. I have been looking into getting these four shirts reproduced... I haven't quite gotten thru the legalities of the Swordquest stuff, but I have a feeling we will probabally be able to do it.
  11. No matter what the legal background surrounding the situation of this new game may be, it sounds like it's a pretty nifty game! It's wonderful to see any new releases for the 2600 at all, especially considering the system is 25 years old. We are lucky to have releases of this calibur. I wish the guys at Ebivision the best of luck with the new game. If there is anything I can do to help promote it, please let me know. And Leonard, I feel your pain.. Best,
  12. Hey - I just want to put the word out there that I am trying desperately to hunt down one of the clear 7800 prototype sets featuring the clear system, joystick, and cartridge shell. I saw that there was one at CGE2K2 but I was not able to make it to the show I want to vastly expand the Atari 7800.com 7800 Museum and the addition of one of these units would be a tremendous leap for the effort. If anybody has any serious info on finding one of these units, please email me or send me a private message. Thanks!

I saw that there was one at CGE2K2 but I was not able to make it to the show :-( I want to vastly expand the Atari 7800.com 7800 Museum and the addition of one of these units would be a tremendous leap for the effort. I know this isn't the ebay or marketplace forum, but I wanted to get the message out there as best I can. If anybody has any serious info on finding one of these units, please email me or send me a private message. Thanks!
  14. Atarius - That is a GREAT advancement in Atari joystick technology! I can't believe I never came up with that myself after all of these years, sitting around obsessing with the system. Let me know how your project turns out, I'd like to purchase a few of those from you. They look like they would work very well as opposed to the prolines. Best,
  15. Christian- What you have is a retrofitted first generation Atari 7800 ProSystem box. These were printed up by Warner Communications during the initial launch of the 7800 in 1984. When the Tramiels bought Atari a month later, they wanted to focus on computers, and shelved the 7800 indefinately until 1986 when they brought it back out to compete with the Nintendo Entertainment System. Long story short... there were more "1984 boxes" than there were systems, so the Tramiels just retrofitted the boxes for 1986 or 1987 by adding the silver stickers to the box to cover up the advertisements for accessories that they had already killled. I guarantee you that if you take a heat gun to the stickers on the box, and successfully remove them, you will see 1984 Warner copyrights and information on the 7800 ProSystem Keybaord, etc. Nice find though, for 50 cents! Best,
  16. Welcome to the club! I'm glad one more person has seen the light of how wonderful of a system the little 7800 really is. There is no greater system for playing classic arcade ports of the quintessential classics like Dig Dug, Pole Position II, Centipede, Joust, etc. And yes, take Eric for his word, Commando is a GREAT game for the 7800 ProSystem. Let me know if there is anything I can help ya with! Best,
  17. ...workin' on it. I have a feeling Jindroush or John Harvey will beat me to it. Maybe we can all work together to get this thing out. I'll have to talk to Lance about it and see what he is doing. Good luck to everybody who is working on the IM project... I am a die-hard Impossible Mission fan. Best,
  18. Hey check out the new animation link I made for the site! Best,
  19. There are actually alot of alternatiaves if you look. Let me know what you had in mind and I will see if I can help you =) Best,
  20. we only get 3 months to prepare! Actually the final date for submission is October 15, 2002. So yeah you still get a little over two months! It gives us time to find a way to make the shirts for Joe lol. Also, I would like to remind everybody that the rules of the contest call for all submissions to be emailed to Joe Rivera at [email protected] and *NOT* just posted up on the forums, so if you want to have a valid entry, send it to Joe that way your entry will be posted and wont be disqualified. We have a page for posting the entries so that everybody can view these works all in one page, rather than taking up space here on the forums. Good luck to everyone!
  21. I dont know about John Hardie or Sean Kelly from personal experiences, but I can say that Joe Santulli is a pretty cool and understanding guy. Applause to him for the CGE! Best,
  22. Joe and I got to talking a few days back and we had thought that maybe it might be a cool idea to redirect some of this creativity that has shown up on the forums into a contest. We threw the idea around a little bit here in the off-topic forum and seemed to get a good response so we decided to go ahead with our little idea. Ever since the "I'm a pretty lady!" thread, there have been a lot of postings with pictures of Joe in a movie or a TV show and most of them have been pretty cool. So we are sponsoring the "Make Joe A Star!" contest. To enter, create a digital image (150k or less) of Joe Rivera in your choice of 1.) A movie poster or scene from a motion picture or television program, which will prominently feature Joe. 2.) An Atari game cartridge or box which will feature Joe, or 3.) Joe featured in an product advertisement of any sort, and then submit this image to Joe at [email protected] The first-place winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Atari 7800.com for use in the Atari 7800.com On-Line Catalogue, along with an autographed picture of "Atari" Joe Rivera, as well as a 12-pack of Canada Dry ginger ale soft drink, Joe's personal favorite drink of choice. The winner will also receive an "Atari" Joe Rivera t-shirt in the size and style of their choosing, once these items become available. The winner will be hand selected by Joe Rivera himself and will announce the winner here on this very page on October 26, 2002. Prizes will then be given out accordingly. All of the rules and details of the contest are posted at the contest webpage located at www.atari7800.com/joe/contest.htm and can be viewed at any time. We also have a dedicated page for posting the submitted contest entries up so that everybody may view them and we can keep them off of the Atari Age forums. This page may be accessed at www.atari7800.com/joe/entries.htm Please email me directly if you have any questions regarding the contest, or email Joe with your comments. Thanks! Best wishes to all,
  23. We are starting to wrap up assembling the Turbo Team at TurboGrafx-16.com, so if anybody would like to hop on board, please let us know at this point before all of the positions get snatched up. The team consists primarily of exclusively Turbo people, however it is administered by myself and Jared Canton. ("Atari" Joe Rivera is not a part of this website) If you wish to join, drop me an email, or visit www.TurboGrafx-16.com and click on "work with us" to fill out the application. Thanks!
  24. I have heard on several occasions the existance of an "anti-digital press" website... does anybody know anything about this? Best,
  25. At Atari 7800.com we were engineering the "Pro-Line Paddle" controllers, which were paddle controllers with dual fire buttons constructed out of parts from the Pro-Line Joystick used with the 7800 ProSystem. When engineering these things, we came into many paddle controllers that seemed "jittery" and that problem even carried over into two of the first five prototypes we had created. We had to just get brand new parts to make this thing because all of our paddles had that jitter problem. Best,
