I remember this commercial from back then, but what are C-V owners thinking now since they don't have their own dedicated site to their classic system compared to what we have with AtariAge??? Where are any ColecoVision homebrews, or any conversions from their cousin ADAM to their unit like what we have with our growing library of 5200 conversions from the 8-bit (400/800/XL/XE) computers??? Do ColecoVision owners have guys like @playsoft, @Thelen, @TIX, @CPUWIZ, and many others who are dedicated in leading the way putting out new original games for Big Sexy??? I can't think of any. How about units like the brilliant new (pending) Super 52 that @edladdin is working on, and the Wico 5200 self-centering joystick and its touch-tone telephone-quality keypad, and the Competition Pro that came out years ago, and also things like what @Albert came out with years ago like Redemption 5200 (and the Masterplay Clone) to allow that vast assortment of other controllers for other systems (2600/Sega, 7800, and PC) to be used as alternatives to the (somewhat-quirky) CX52 joystick??? And how about that brilliant CX53 Trak-Ball that when regularly maintained, can last almost forever. And what about Best Electronics with the gold-plated 5200 flex circuitry and the better bubble contacts for both the CX24 (7800) and CX40 (2600/Sega) joysticks??? And the 2600 adapter, and lest we not forget the brand new ProPaddle 2 5200-compatible paddle controller from 0711 Spiele in Germany that makes Tempest (and Kaboom! and Super Breakout among others) a dream to play as opposed to a joystick or Trak-Ball!!! How about a loyal and dedicated following including all of us on AA that also spans 4 decades even to this very day!!! The Atari 5200, by far the best, even 4 decades later. Fact of the matter. Bottom line.

Yeah but there are also issues with non-responsive fire buttons and the carbon contacts that make up the keypads as well as start/pause/reset also not responding, who can I send my unit to in order to get her working fully again, and, who can I trust? I live in a very socially isolated, remote, rural area (Jefferson County, Washington) with no electronics repair shops within 100 miles of me.

Well, I was looking forward to trying out Millipede on my 5200 for the first time in years and plugged in my CX53 Trak-Ball I have owned since 1983 (the very get-go) only to find out that she does not work at all, the fire buttons are non-responsive (the bubble contacts do click but nothing happens), and the trak-ball will not read properly, and with @atari-dna pretty much MIA who can I send off my CX53 to get worked on by and where can I find him/her? I want to play Missile Command, Centipede/Millipede and all of my other trak-ball-compatible games the way they were meant to be played..... with a trak-ball!!! Obviously I also tried plugging in my CX80 Trak-Ball to my 7800-compatible Redemption 5200 with no such luck (the fire buttons do not respond) so that didn't work either what do I do at this point, as I don't want to go on eBay and risk getting yet another one that might not work or pay vookoo $$$ for a deadstock one that might end up being DOA for all we know, help!

In this episode, mentally disabled musician and entertainer Ray Jackson takes a look back at one of the rare gems among all the Space Invaders variants, The 1982 Apollo-produced sci-fi classic, Space Cavern, for the Atari 2600 Video Computer System. #SpaceCavern #Atari2600 #TheAtariReport SpaceCavern.BIN

The Atari Report - 2600 Edition - Episode 2 - Pac Man
BIGHMW replied to BIGHMW's topic in Atari 2600
....and I will (in future episodes) be doing my take on Ms. Pac-Man, and yes, the port WAS far better than Pac-Man. And, to quote (whom the late Don Pardo called) "The Woman Of The Year", she IS "more than Pac-Man with a bow"!!! You'll find out why this weekend as I have slated it to be one of the next reviews on the 2600 edition (and maybe later on the 5200 version as well) The Atari Report so stay tuned!!! -
The Atari Report - 2600 Edition - Episode 2 - Pac Man
BIGHMW replied to BIGHMW's topic in Atari 2600
Yup, even though it was utter complete garbage it is still even to this very day a must-have game to have in your 2600 collection, like I said in the video, THIS.... was Pac-Man. It was actually fine for some of us, after all we didn't know 40 years ago like we do now how much more capable the 2600 was compared to back then. I even know there were kids even younger then I was (15 when this came out in 1981) who were in the situations I described who's parents would never take them to an arcade because of the (alleged) drug and alcohol use (and in some cases pervasive smoking too) going on in them, so they didn't have any other choice, for those kids, it was simply this, or nothing. -
I have both a 2600 Edition and a 5200 Edition, it's just that I wanted to debut the newest episodes and present them fresh off the presses to all of you guys, but I do get your theory of maybe having one thread for all episodes on each the 2600 and 5200 forums but yes I'll keep that in mind and discuss it with my management Len Enders. As for having episodes daily, nope, don't worry, I will only be debuting new episodes on each Saturday and Sunday on each forum, so it won't be so spammy, the reason you might think that it is looking so right now is mainly because I had back log episodes from my BIGHMW TV YouTube channel I had on it before I launched my new Atari Report YouTube channel, in which I will be adding into my signature below later on this week. I hope you enjoy what you see so far and thanks for the input. Ray Jackson

Hey fellow Atarians, Just so I don't overwhelm you guys (and gals) with TOO MUCH content, as that would be overkill (and I want to slowly get you fans into it) I have decided to upload two new episodes of each the 2600 and 5200 Editions of my new hit channel and miniseries, The Atari Report, each weekend. I hope you enjoyed my work so far on The Atari Report, and I also wanted to let you know that new content will become available on both Saturdays and Sundays, I should have plenty of episodes filmed and edited already in advance and will release new episodes on each of those two days. So until this coming Saturday and Sunday, ENJOY!!! Remember to visit The Atari Report YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgW22q4hD1AhsdRkno-SLFw/ ....and if you like what you see, hit the subscribe button and don't forget to check out my other 2 featured channels on it as well, and maybe hit the subscribe buttons on those two also, so you can both see and know what else I do/did for a living for the past 25 years in the entertainment business!!! Peace out, Ray Jackson Musician/Performer/Presenter

In this episode, mentally disabled musician and entertainer Ray Jackson takes a look back at one of the most disappointing releases in home videogaming history, the infamous original 1981 Atari Pac-Man, for the Atari 2600 Video Computer System. This game was eclipsed by later 2600 releases of Ms. Pac-Man, Jr. Pac-Man, Pac-Man 4K, and Pac-Man Arcade. #PacMan #Atari2600 #TheAtariReport PacMan.bin

In this episode, mentally disabled musician and entertainer Ray Jackson introduces and reviews what was supposed to be the original pack-in game for the Atari 5200 SuperSystem, the timeless classic, "Asteroids". The game was eventually replaced by Super Breakout as the pack-in game for it, and then later, by Pac-Man, and the release of Asteroids, was eventually scrubbed by Atari altogether despite the fact that the retail box of Asteroids was seen on promotional pamphlets originally included with 5200 cartridges. Hey thanx for the promo @David Alexander, I greatly appreciate it!!! 2 episodes launched this afternoon, after adding in the much-needed narration during gameplay, two more will be uploaded later on tonight, episodes freshly filmed, one of the original 2600 Pac-Man, and one of the 5200 version of Asteroids, and I'll be filming two more tonight as well!!!

5 subscribers so far, keep 'em comin'!!! I should have the improved (mainly the same only with narration added during gameplay) versions of the 2 episodes I debuted earlier on on my BIGHMW TV YouTube channel on The Atari Report, and yes by both my management Len Enders and also suggested further by @splendidnut, all future episodes will also have narration during gameplay as well. The main title openings of both are up right now, there also will be both separate 2600 Edition and 5200 Edition playlists so you know where to go, later on the BIGHMW TV posts of TAR will be history after we steer enough traffic over to The Atari Report YT channel, my other two channels, BIGHMW TV and also Ray Jackson will remain intact until further notice where we can move and/or reformulate or delete some content to other channels The Atari Report YouTube channel can be reached at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgW22q4hD1AhsdRkno-SLFw/ .....and don't forget to hit the subscribe button!!! .....and check out my other 2 channels as well, as they are featured on it as well. -

My management Len Enders agrees with you, before I just read your post earlier Len and I were talking about that same subject, and he said that added narration is needed, so that will be on all videos on my all new Atari Report YouTube channel (search "The Atari Report" under channels), it'll take a while to show up there, I just launched the channel just a couple of hours ago. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgW22q4hD1AhsdRkno-SLFw/
