  1. ......and for just how much would Goodwill sell them for, probably not much, they tend to undervalue vintage game cartridges figuring just about everyone (in the mainstream world not including us) plays PS4/Wii/Xbox, and they would probably recycle them merely for the parts, that's what I'm trying to avoid by selling them to all of you here on AtariAge. Now who's next??? 15 days left ladies and gents!!! Clock's ticking tick-tick-tick-tick-tick..........
  2. The Dreadnaught Factor, Pitfall II, and James Bond 007 SOLD. Still plenty of cartridges left to be sold, but only two weeks left to claim yours or the rest all go to Goodwill after March 1st.
  3. No, $15.00 each, but yes, if they aren't sold by March 1st they will be going to Goodwill, I have no need for them since I already have the ROMs of them on my Atarimax SD multicart, so grab them up fast because in about two weeks time they will be gone and who knows what Goodwill will do with them.
  4. Time's ticking away ladies and gentlemen, the unsold lots all go to Goodwill on March 1st if nobody wants to score a deal. You would hate to see them go to waste and wind up being who knows what.
  5. Bump. LAST CHANCE......... On March 1st, they all go to Goodwill if nobody wants them.
  6. You know in the rest of the world it would be known as RealSports Football. (Premier League fan and Arsenal supporter speaking here, COYG!!!) Only here in the US and Canada they call it soccer.
  7. I just downloaded the update from today. it's getting better and better every time, Definitely a keeper for a WIP project, but I will be downloading the updated versions as they are available.
  8. Already downloaded the latest update from January 8. It is an AWESOME take on Burgertime, certainly better than M-Network's version for sure!!! I have saved this thread in my "Atari Forums Sites" folder. I played it and then compared your version vs. the original M=Network version and found this one to be far superior. As for the flickering, we longtime Atarians have known for decades that the 2600 can have only 4 objects moving in different directions at the same time without flickering, but I can deal with that, I guess the original Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man from 1981 taught me that decades ago. This one (and Pac-Man 4K and Pac-Man Arcade, both available from AtariAge, along with the brilliant 2600 redos of Tempest, and the great Yars' Revenge) are definitely reasons for me to just ditch the VCS adapter for my 5200, and just get a 2600 Jr. (preferably the short rainbow version, provided the silver bezel is in top shape) again, and have it a/v-modded but that leaves question of whether or not to keep my 5200 as it has its own great games (I have TONS of great titles on both my Atarimax 5200 multicart and my Harmony Encore 2600 multicart). BTW, I know you named it (and the title screen gives it away) "Chaotic Grill!" but I changed it on my SD card to "Burgertime Arcade" because of how arcade-like (for a 2600) it looks (and plays!)! Much better than M-Network's OG version.
  9. Here is the list of all of my 5200 cartridges I have left (and yes they are still only $15.00 including CONUS shipping) from Activision (all include instructions): Kaboom! Keystone Kapers Megamania Pitfall! River Raid Space Shuttle from CBS Electronics (all include instructions): Blue Print Gorf from Sega (all include instructions): Star Trek from Parker Bros. (all include instructions): Frogger Q*bert Popeye (no label, therefore it is only $12.50) Astro Chase (no label therefore it is only $12.50) and from Atari: Kangaroo Centipede Pac-Man (2 copies) Defender Jungle Hunt RealSports Football Choplifter! Pengo RealSports Soccer Dig-Dug Football Pole Position Space Invaders RealSports Baseball Galaxian Qix Super Breakout (a bit of a beater therefore only $10.00) Joust Berzerk Ballblazer Star Raiders Moon Patrol Countermeasure (a bit of a beater therefore only $10.00) Missile Command And of course I still have the following complete in box carts still going for $20.00 Including CONUS shipping: Star Raiders RealSports Football RealSports Soccer and RealSports Tennis First come first served, PM me of interested, PayPal only please.
  10. Well, I decided to keep it going rather than donate the remaining Atari 5200 cartridges to Goodwill, they are still up for sale here, same prices still apply so get 'em while they're still here. I'll put up a new list of the current stock I still have, and yes as always all prices include CONUS shipping, and of course it will cost extra to ship to Canada, as it IS quite expensive to ship to our neighbors north of the 49th. Thanks, and remember PayPal only, PM me of still interested.
  11. Centipede on the XEGS compared to the 5200 version: First, the Atari 5200 version: Now, the Atari 400/800/XL/XE/XEGS version: YOU be the judge.
  12. Nope. 5200 - THE SuperSystem, no XEGS will ever come close. No 2600 adapter for the XEGS. No Multicarts available for the XEGS. No Tempest available for the XEGS. No highly-acclaimed Trak-Ball for the XEGS. Most XEGS/400/800/XL/XE titles, while great, some are inferior to their 5200 counterparts, especially games like Centipede (obviously if you compare both ports of it back-to-back or side-by-side).
  13. I was thinking of getting an XE until I was suggested to (by fellow AtariAge users and fellow Atarians who know better) that since I worked so hard to get both a 2-port 5200 and the 2600 adapter and the two SD multicarts (Harmony Encore SD 2600 and Atarimax Ultimate SD 5200) and two Redemption 5200 units that it would be considered a downgrade just to get an XE because of the quality of most of the 8-bit ports compared to the 5200 ones and I had HUNDREDS of titles on both multicarts. I agree, the ONLY reason why I would've wanted an XE would be for the straight composite a/v connection (as opposed to channel 3 RF) and so I can operate controllers that actually work, but then there's always Best, and you guys. Plus, the XEGS (and sadly for that matter, all 400/800/XL/XE units) will never be able to play lost gems like TEMPEST, maybe those great variations of it from V61/AtariSales but I don't think Keithen Hayenga is gonna deliver them that like he did for US 5200 owners!!! A very well equipped and accessorized Big Sexy > XEGS ANYTIME!!!
  14. I actually need to get this out because I need the $$$ as I am very low on it. The reason why Megaoids and Tile Smashers are on separate threads is because we don't want to get them lost in the mix.
  15. BTW One note: Any and all cartridges that are currently for sale that are not sold by January 1st will automatically be donated to Goodwill, so get yourself a deal and fill in your 5200 collection before New Year's Day because they will all be gone!!! I will take pics of the remaining stock later this afternoon but yes you'd better hurry before they go to Goodwill!!! I will update this post with the remaining stock of cartridges later on tomorrow.
  16. Yes unfortunately due to some financial problems I am now forced to sell my like new 5200 Tile Smashers, I never really got to play it as I was swamped with problems here at home, so SOLD. PayPal only please. PM me if interested.

  18. Nope that was my first 5200, a 4-port (serial no. 141101, made in USA) with the standard automatic switchbox.
  19. Here is a vintage shot (circa-2008) of myself with Big Sexy back when I had a vintage Trinitron to go with her, nowadays I use her with a 39" Insignia.
  20. We're still waiting for a 5200 port of this classic, make it happen!!! Here is the 8-bit port we 5200 owners are waiting to have for our systems!!! Even if you can't put it onto a physical cartridge a ROM or .bin port will do us just fine, as long as it will work on the 5200!!!

  22. Big Sexy has A TON of great games, and while many of them are improved versions of the 8-bit classics, there is also the growing homebrew market, with games available right here at AtariAge, as well as Atarimax, Video 61/Atari Sales, and also Good Deal Games' Homebrew Heaven, and even some homebrews and ports not available in physical cartridge form, and there always is the Atarimax Ultimate SD multicart in which is not on the cheap but is well worth the money, and also the VCS cartridge adapter, in which allows you to use 2600/8-bit-compatible controllers and play 2600 games (or in my case my AtariAge/Fred Quimby Harmony Encore SD or microSD multicart), so Big Sexy has a ton of support like never before, you've just got to have faith in it. The 2600 library is HUGE and the 5200 one is growing fast thanks to most of us!!! Controller issues??? There are options including Best Electronics gold-plated buttons, bubble contacts and flex circuits (for standard 2600, 5200, and 7800-compatible joysticks), in which work like a charm, the Wico Command Control series, Competiton Pro, and both the Masterplay and Redemption 5200 interfaces which allow digital controllers to be used with the system along with the 5200's own keypad. ONE NOTE: The VCS adapter will not work with 4-port 5200 systems, except for those with an asterisk, they work well with the 2-port units but the 2-port units have issues with Pitfall!, K-razy Shootout, and Mountain King, but, I DO have 2-port hacks of each of those 3 games, but only on ROM format. The VCS adapter will also not work with a/v-modded 5200 units, only with those that take analog TV channel 3
