Here is a review of one of those units: http://www.youtube.com/user/ashens?blend=1.../31/x00RgdSkt50 it starts about halfway in.
Based on the description in the auction it looks like you get 5 of those horrible things

Excellent topic!
Personally I reach a saturation point where after I have accumulated many different games and systems without really playing them I settle in on one game or system that enjoy and will usually be content with that for months sometimes years. Then pretty much at random I will lose interest then go to a different game or system. For example I recently got back into the NES/SNES systems and have really been enjoying them, however I always come back to Atari no matter what.

As for the systems I want there are a few:
Vectrex
Bally Astrocade
Arcadia 2001
RCA Studio 2
And Computer wise:
Mattel Aquarius
There are two things keeping me from owning those systems. #1 I am notoriously cheap and even though I realize they are hard to find systems there is the nagging part of my brain saying "That stuff is ancient tech and obsolete tech should only cost pennies on the dollar". And #2 They are somewhat hard to find not only in proper working condition but also in complete condition.

$12 loose is borderline but not horrible for this game. If you were a fan of the cartoon and pac man in general then it's a cool little game for what it is. I bought mine when I bought my first Lynx system at Babbages and for years never got into it until recently and I have to admit it's a fun little game and a nice addition to my Lynx collection.

Gopher.....without a doubt ....Gopher. Something satisfying in a Carl Spackler kinda way when you clobber that lil fuzz covered geek with the shovel.

So lemme get this straight The most mind numbingly awesome game ever...Star Castle is losing to pffft......Stargate?? and the Totally Radical TMNT is losing to a game named after a vaguely choco flavored drink additive?? http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/vermontcou...250&hei=335
I'm not trying to raise a ruckus with my comments i just find it interesting is all

I'm back, scraped up from the side of the road and held together with duct tape and super glue. I'm very sorry if I worried anyone, I've just been sick and lost phone and internet for a few. I know a couple people were quite concerned and that really does mean a lot. Thank you.PacManPlus lives on LI and we've had a few get togethers at his place with friends if that is who you mean?
Hey who was the one in the chat that held a gaming party that lives on Long Island? Also 900th post w00t!!!Glad you're back! I hope you and the Bean are feeling better?

Welcome to the boards!
There is quite a bit that has been going on with Atari so I would agree with Lord Thag's suggestions and just explore the site a bit. And as for the spider it can be a bit tricky but it is shootable (made up word but it applies) -
Yes.......yes you are...

When doing the Thieves guild quests you have to fence xxxx amount of gold, so I decide to go above and beyond the call of duty. I will systematically clean out every single item in every single shop all across Tamriel. As an added bonus after you do this it's not only funny to have the shopkeeper welcome you to an empty shop but it also eliminates the possibility of accidentally clicking on an item and getting charged with theft.
Take the Adoring Fan up to Dive Rock and send him flying off it whenever you feel bored or frustrated in the game.
Go into a guard barracks and conjure up a Scamp then cast Touch of Rage on a few guards.

Could you tell me the trick how to get a plain list of "all videos" in those new channel designs?Sorry I still haven't quite figured it out myself either

-
Try Radio Shack other than that thou shall have to order online and learn patience grasshopper.
-
Not sure what the catch is but they do charge shipping outside of Australia, maybe it's some sort of promotion?
-
Not the best but it's a start. Anyone getting the Atari word out there is a good thing.
Some thoughts:
Try to center the gameplay in the shot.
A script is good as it will make the video seem more organized and flow smoother.
While many folks are entertained by the Angry or Irate style reviewers there are already plenty of those reviews to go around, check out some of the other reviewers who are every bit as good but just bit more cerebral, this guy is great!, this gent is very funny and does great reviews and if you are looking to maintain a certain theme or style these guys do it right.
I'm sure the other folks here will also have some good advice too.
Good luck!

Congrats! Good to see that article but I think they could have been a little more generous with the score.

I bought the used/refurbished Pro as it was the same price as a new Arcade unit. I like saving money and being cheap

Could it be he is quickly becoming the Kate Gosselin of video games?

Awesome to see these guys keeping things alive for the arcades but I did have a slight problem with the news article:
"During the arcade boom of the late '70s and '80s, there was a place in every big American city where gamers would go to spend many quarters and hours playing games on platforms such as the legendary Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis."
Unless I really missed seeing the heavy sixers tucked in between the Pac-Man and Space Invader Machines and the NES and Genesis's set up next to Rampage and Mortal Kombat when did any consoles show up in arcades?(Except for Neo Geo kinda sorta)

The colors in the games were vibrant and appealing, the sounds were unique and fun. The Console itself felt rugged,it looked good and the carts were durable as well.
The controllers were near bombproof and the games were very easy to get.
Every kid in my neighborhood had Atari except for the rich kid he had Colecovision.
The other systems did not fare well for many reasons:
Games hard to find.
Horrible/Confusing controllers
Consoles were shaped either too weird (Fairchild..It looked like an 8-Track deck) or were too mundane(Intellivision...Just as dry and boring looking as George Plimpton)
Didn't have the "Big Name games"
Poor marketing
