The graphics tiny blocks vaguely shaped like whatever theme the particular game was trying to convey, it was interesting and the interchangeable carts were a cool feature. and i was born in 1971 does that qualify me as ancient?

The Microvision was dead when MB killed it in 1981 so yes it quite dead by the time the Gameboy was introduced. And thanks to bitrot of the Microvision screens many units were likely physically dead by 1989.

Sad news Well in honor of Travi I think all the previous hosts should be able to order their own personal copy of Travi and a new and Improved Travi should be created to travel the globe again! Long live Travi!!

Plot: Save the World! Main Characters: Choose either Male or Female Synopsis: You are on a camping trip with your girlfriend/boyfriend when you hear a massive rumbling noise when suddenly in the sky a shape so dark and massive it blocks out the sun and as it flies overhead you feel an incredible sense of foreboding and an odd tingling sensation! You watch in stunned awe as it moves towards a large mountain in the distance and slams into it with a terrible explosion. You turn to see your companion has collapsed to the ground and is in some state of shock and won't wake up. That tingling must have caused your companions condition but why did it not affect you as severely? You need help and you need answers, time to go find them. Geography: One large continent. Time setting: Medieval Powers: In game powers will be a variety of Magical,Ethereal,Extraterrestrial Travel: Walking,Magic,Horse Leveling: Player starts at level one with 5 training points after enough experience as gained through quests and battles three training points will be given each level increase. Items: Rings,Robes,Capes and Amulets will add abilities or skill increases. Weapons: Swords,Maces,Axes,Wands,Staffs,Crossbow and Daggers Armor: Plate,Chain,Leather,and Cloth. Shields of different types. Classes: Crusader,Warlock,Wizard,Prowler,Knight(three options for knight Dragon,Power, Tellurian) Economy: Zek (coins) Civilization: Four large cities, one in each direction N,S,E,W the city to the North is the Capital city. 6 Villages scattered across the land and a few Inns along the main roads. Enemies: Animals: Snakes,spiders,bears,cougars,bats and fish. Humanoid: zombies,skeletons,humans Monsters: Trolls,goblins,ogres,dragons Ethereal: Ghosts,vapors,demons,banshee Extraterrestrial: small bipeds,large quadrupeds. End Boss: you'll just have to see.

Just got my repaired unit back today! They attached a letter explaining that they just replaced it rather than repair it and bumped my warranty to the end of Sept. and threw in a 1 month Gold Membership. I'm setting it up as I type.

The reason I suggested skipping the chat room is because it would be an extra expense and I thought the idea was to offset the cost of the new servers and such by offering the paid memberships.

I am not able to go back and edit maybe a mod could help? The descriptions would be as follows: Zelda Style: Top down view, solo character and combat is initiated by the player Final Fantasy Style: Top down in map mode, Up to three party members and combat is random and viewed from the side and turn based. Diablo Style: 3/4 view solo character and combat is initiated by the player.

To clarify: when I made the poll and I used the word style I meant as in how the game would look. For example Zelda style would be a top down view with interactions with monsters and npc's initiated by you rather than Final Fantasy style where you take a few steps and have random attacks. So in essence you could have a game that looks like Zelda but would have more villages/towns/castles and npc's to interact like in Final Fantasy but it would still look and play like Zelda. Thats what i meant by style.

Yes... yes I do. The 7800 had some good things going for it! Backwards compatibility, good graphics, pleasing shape and appearance. It was a decent system. After seeing some of the later games and some of the unreleased ones you could see it was capable of decent graphics and gameplay.
