  1. No you don't have to shut up at all, any input for any reason is helpful as it helps shape what direction future projects will go in. I lost my job recently and am in the process of getting a business organized and hopefully up and running in the next few months, with that said all I can offer this current project is help with the plot/script etc... I will when time permits try my hand with Groovys development system when it's available to hopefully do a platformer because I too would like to see more platformers for the 7800. But i also think a RPG would be a great thing to have for the 7800.
  2. Ok then i'll add a World of Warcraft option to the poll WoW on the 7800 would be the coolest thing I could think of! With a modem add-on we could do it all! form guilds, pvp tournaments, expansions! I kid of course but yeah a Dragon Warrior/Final Fantasy style would be just as good because of added game depth. The only thing I would like to see whatever style we decide on is a training/skill point system from the beginning to add a little extra flavor to the game rather than rely totally on a "fixed" amount of stat increases when you level up. For example on the Zelda game you can choose a standard class at the beginning warrior/mage/thief then you get 5 points to put wherever you want depending on your choice.
  3. No prob! I want to help as much as I can. I chose Zelda style because I think it would be somewhat easier to pull off and if it goes well would open the door for bigger and more sophisticated RPG's for the 7800.
  4. Ok to help things along on this great project what type of game do you all want to see? Zelda Style with a solo character style. Final Fantasy with a four person party and turn based combat. Diablo with good old Hack-n-Slash play.
  5. I can help with the plot/storyline/etc..
  6. We set a record for over 20 people at one point,SeaGTGruff and neotokeo2001 stopped by,and we discussed everything from Batman for the 2600 to Jeff "Minty Fresh" Minter and Asteroids 3000.
  7. #5 Festers Quest: Awesome show, Awesome Characters, Crap for crap plot, questionable weapons(a Blunderbuss that shoots needles and bowling balls?) and enemies who are about as generic and forgettable as one could ever hope for. #4 Yo Noid! : I guess Capcom figured they could easily dominate the game industry with their stunning graphics, tight gameplay and great plots but in the interest of trying to appear like just another game company so as not to humiliate their competition they released horrible games on purpose and Yo Noid! was just such a game. This games lousy collision detection, weak as water plot, and epic boss battles just scream "Hey other game companies even we have a clinker every now and again." #3 Back to the Future: Three letters best describe the mess that is this game.... WTF #2 Urban Champion: Why does this even exist? And why did Nintendo feel the need to add this to the Wii's virtual console? Did they think we need 85% more suck in our day? How kind of them. #1 Rambo: I think this one does not even need any explanation.
  8. I won't spoil anything but wait till you get to the Library!
  9. Just got it this afternoon and....it.....is.....AWESOME! I got the PS3 version and it most definitely was worth it! I love the interaction it just feels like you're there and part of the team, I love Murray giving me grief and Annie Potts is good as ever,Egon and Ray are just good together as always and Winston is in top form. The control takes some getting used to but I do like "slamming" the ghosts.
  10. Unfortunately the old saying applies, "One mans meat is another mans poison." And no matter what someone will like something no matter how bad it is so I think any games listed here are valid because i'm sure enough people will agree with the choices posted for example I actually like Sneak n Peak no matter how dreadful it was I think it was neat concept for the time.
  11. Depends on where you get the refurb and who is honoring the warranty. For a 90 day warranty I would say absolutely not, I got my first 360 refurb at Gamestop and approximately 24 hours later i got the RROD so they said bring it back and they gave me another one and there are instructions in the box to register the console with Microsoft which I did and got a 1 year warranty on it. Which is good because it wont detect the HDD anymore and is on it's way to the service center even as I type to get fixed for free. So I wouldn't shy away from a refurb but only if it's backed by a nice long factory warranty.
  12. Glass Joe in Mike Tysons Punch Out!!! That look on his mug when you dodge his punch then pop him in the face to stun him is classic!
  13. I was actually going to snap that one up but only because I have been searching high and low for that Tetris keychain and thats all I would have really needed from that lot. Thankfully I found one at ye olde flea market over the weekend thus saving myself $99,999.00.
  14. I am looking for a cassette deck for my new(ly acquired) TI99 I believe the stock unit was model #PHP2700. Would other players work? If so that would be cool too.
  15. Yes thats all it is. And what made it worse is that it was released during the time when cart based consoles were the standard.
  16. Sounds like a great idea! Anything that get new folks interested is a good thing.
  17. Thats easy he is simply doing it to inflate his post count and thus his rank and second he gets the side benefit of trolling and starting small flame wars for his enjoyment as evidenced by his reply in this thread that he started: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...=145320&hl= his reply at post #21 is very telling as to his intentions when he started that thread.
  18. Congrats on the DS! I think you will really enjoy it as it is a great little system. You may want to look into Contra for it, that game is every bit as awesome as the original!
  19. Not bad! I got mine last year off of eBay for $0.99 CIB. It's a neat little system to be sure but I have no idea what anyone was thinking when they released a "pong" console in the early 80's when cart based consoles were in full swing.
  20. Thanks! btw I mentioned about the PS3/Fairchild connection during the chat well I got the pics up here! http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...=145453&hl=
  21. Good deal! I'll probably look into that lighted one.
