MADWORLD ~ new super violent game for Wii only by sega
kroogur replied to Rev's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
They can keep it.... it looks dreadful. We need a nice game like maybe Great Friends Always where you run around a huge city where you complete missions like help old people across the street, carry packages for folks, hold doors open for people, bake cookies and give them away. My apologies i'm sick as a dog and hopped up on meds right now, but that new Wii game still sounds horrible. -
What will become of your collection after you pass away?
kroogur replied to Sincity's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I'm getting cremated so it shouldn't be too big a fuss to throw all my junk in there with me. But if it is the back-up plan is the tried and true mausoleum one just big enough for me an my stuff maybe an internets hook up. Mrs Kroo can make her own arrangements for herself -
Another vote for Food Fight it really is a great game! Congrats on your 7800!

I agree 3d River Raid would be good! First person Yars Revenge would be cool too! -

Well then "Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead!!!" we ought to get over there and vote the hell outta that poll! we'll show them! Personally I blame the schools first and the parents second for kids lack of knowledge about the past in terms not only of world history but cultural history. My friend's young son called my Atari 2600 stupid because it wasn't an XBOX360 or a Wii ....until he started playing it Video games in particular just might be a very good way to spark an interest in history in general for kids because it's a piece of history that they can interact with rather than read about in a dusty boring book -
"Family Emergency" always a classic "Postal problems" another tried and true excuse The USPS currently offers more options than ever including home pickup "Bank Problems" I actually haven't had that one used yet but it is creative. I would go ahead with the Paypal dispute it may get his butt in gear.

Yes the Bentley is a pong system. What made it strange was it was released around 1982-1983 when pong type systems were well out of fashion.

interest check: ATARI CHARLES MYSTERY CART
kroogur replied to lucifershalo's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
If the hammer option goes above lucifershalo's original purchase price, the profit should go to charity. to charity or to Atariage's website to prepare the next xmas cart so something that was negative for Al, can be turned into a positive gesture That sounds like a great suggestion! -

http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=123081 Well after what happened to him with the Florida bar in the afore mentioned topic I wonder if this stunt will finally be enough to get him dis-barred? Hopefully she forwards a copy of that letter to the appropriate folks at the bar association and files for a restraining order against him for good measure.

Sneak and Peek Gopher Eggomania Oink!

What the hell? This is like bidding $1 more than the highest bid on The Price is Right. Ummm.... great minds think alike

Hmm Solomon Grundy vs. Goro would be interesting but as for plausible fighters i guess Batman,Lady Shiva,Katana,Catwoman,Nightwing,Bronze Tiger,Green Arrow, Bane, Killer Croc, Joker, and Robin would make sense. Unlockable characters for sheer crazy fun would be Superman,Solomon Grundy,Lobo,Darkseid,Wonder Woman, Guy Gardner, and Doomsday. I will probably get this game in the fall. I'm a longtime DC fan and it sounds like a fun diversion.

Rant about difficulty in modern video games
kroogur replied to atari2600land's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Add me to the "too many buttons/goofy controller" crowd, i think they should have stopped at the NES controller one button for shoot/action one for jump and left it at that. When i play a fightin' game for example it really grieves me to have press AAA,T,CC,RRR,E,WW,UU,UL,RD,and move the control pad in a half semi-circle while holding it at a 45 degree angle to throw any kinda punch other than a simple jab. -
Captain Silver - I have always liked this game! you don't get many good pirate games but this is definitely one of them. Ghostbusters - A big improvement over the Atari and Nintendo versions and worth a look as a unique and fun addition to a collection.
