  1. I had Rampage (still do I think) and it was playable. If I find it i'll try to do a short video on youtube.
  2. Duke Nukem Forever - Any platform Bugs Bunnys Birthday Blowout - NES Dragon Age II - Any platform Jaws - NES Any "Pop Station" handheld game system that includes (City Fighter,Submarine Invasion,Football,Racing Car,Helicopter)
  3. there have been many good solid choices mentioned already but there is one i haven't seen. E.T. The extra terrestrial yes... i'm serious. You will likely fall into one of two categories with this game: Like the game for what it is, an understated action/adventure/puzzle game. Or hate the game because of the possibly skewed perception that the game is somehow bad because of what reviewers and such say. Either way it's a cheap and easy conversation piece to own.
  4. Rossis's Pop-Up Marketplace 200 Loews Drive North Versailles, PA 15137 I still miss Wildwood out past North Park
  5. You could always check out the three awesome threads already devoted to this item: Flashback "like" product Thread #1 Original FB3 Thread
  6. California Games was a great pack in! As was Combat for the 2600. I don't really consider "bundles" as pack in games. Because they are far more expensive than the entry level system. Nintendo seems to be the only one who gets it and gives a decent pack in game to get you started.
  7. Here in 'Merica we got the "Proline" (oft called the Painlines) they are miserable to use. http://www.atariage.com/controller_page.html?SystemID=7800&ControllerID=9
  8. Im thinkin it was 1987 because for my birthday I got the NES system and one game which was Deadly Towers. It was purchased at Childrens Palace on McKnight Rd in the North hills area outside of Pittsburgh. About two years ago I treated it to a gold 72 pin connector and the lock out chip mod.
  9. L is not a number. I know I know I was wondering how many folks would catch that sorta like Dan Ackroyds line in Ghostbusters when they were in the library... "Listen!....do you smell something??"
  10. Ok after a pier six brawl with my camcorder I managed to get some footage and some of it was even usable! Anyway here is the unboxing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MABEwLsHSfw Thanks again Ax!!
  11. Yes it's the sucky reboot Freddy but i'll take what I can get. Besides we haven't had freddy in a game since Monarch or Westwood? I forget released that weird overhead view game years ago.(Which was pretty good by the way)
  12. Oh Hell Yeah!!!! Not that i'm a big Freddy fan or anything :D
  13. Thats it exactly. The economy is a wreck right now and people are scared. Folks will still spend hundreds of dollars on a full size console because they can do more than a 3ds. Especially in a friends or family setting multiple players can play on one xbox plus you can watch your dvd's etc..rather than having to buy several 3ds for everyone. Besides who gives an $250 high tech device to a child? Is $250 something you want to see dropped, sat on,thrown, drenched in soda or kool-aid? Sorry Nintendo good idea but too pricey even at $169 and definitely released at the wrong time. I used one for a bit and it's cool and all but not something I would spend more than $100 on but then again i'm a miser
  14. Got mine yesterday and will be doing another unboxing video on my youtube channel. Awesome stuff as always Ax! and the "packing material" was interesting, how did you find so many bags with my name on them????
  15. Congrats! ....so in celebration do we all get free lamps??
  16. Yes really. Yes the old controllers took some getting used to (as do the modern controllers) and the overlays were important but often lost but rather than put a positive more informative spin on the old tech they (they reviewers) bash it and cause younger folks to avoid the old stuff. History of any sort be it music,technology,culture..etc can be not only interesting but informative and sometimes beneficial to advancing new ideas. Ergonomically the CV and Inty controllers were hideous but they gave way to better designs down the road not necessarily for their systems but for future systems. And the 5200 controllers taught us that quality control is a must, aftermarket controllers for any system are sometimes flimsy but the original equipment should be sturdy and dependable.
  17. Illbleed is good spooky fun. Sort of like a lighthearted Resident Evil.
  18. The Shining - Escape the Overlook and the Hedgemaze before Jack gets ya. Return of the Living Dead - Get through the Warehouse,Mortuary and Cemetery before the bomb drops. Enemies would be zombies, body parts and split dogs. Wheel of Fortune Tic Tac Dough Predator - Study what Pack-in-Video did for the NES version and then do the exact opposite. WKRP in Cincinnati - Dodge the turkeys being dropped by Les Nesman from the helicopter. Courage the Cowardly Dog - Help Courage avoid Eustace and other monsters while trying to bring Muriel her scones.
  19. As others have said start in the marketplace and craigslist can be good source (use craigslist only after you get a feel for pricing) and the larger flea markets can sometimes hold treasures. Like for example you may see a craigslist ad for a RARE VINTAGE KLASSIK ATARI!!!! and the pic if there is one will be a 4 switch covered in burnt moldy dirt with weeds growing out of the cart slot with several AWESOME!! carts like Pac Man,E.T.,Frogger(missing the label),Combat and Pitfall all for the low price of $200!!!! You probably want to avoid that deal Welcome to Atari.
  20. Seems to be the way it is anymore, especially on the internet. People arguing, just for the sake of arguing. Hey, quick question... everyone (ha!) knows that Neons are junk, but do PT Cruisers share that esteem being based on the same platform? Wondering because I've come close to purchasing one a couple of times for my job. Easy vehicle to get tools in and out of. Seems to be a zealous lot too, those PT owners. Yes the PT shares a great deal with the Neon and while they are cool little cars they are even more difficult to work on due to nearly no room under the hood not a big deal to the cars owner but a huge problem for the poor soul who has to work under that hood. The Chevy HHR was designed by the same person who did the PT. Mechanically the HHR seems to be a little better but I have not worked on too many HHR's.
