  1. I came up with a list of sites that would just have to be searched to find out exactly what they offer, am in the process of investigating them, will post if I find any good sites: http://www.itring.net/auctions.htm.
  2. I'm going to start selling on Ebay and I totally agree with the above comments regarding feedback, but as a buyer, I obviously always wait until I receive the item before leaving feedback. I think I'm all set to start selling. Any comments or suggestions appreciated, like can a member use scans of carts from this site when selling an item ? Thanks.

    6502 Tutorial

    This was a double entry.

    6502 Tutorial

I'm pretty new to 6502 assembly myself, but another member, Nir Dary was kind enough to point out some good links: http://home.earthlink.net/~ksiders1/a8prog...tml#programming http://www.xmission.com/~trevin/atari/atari.html 'Hope this helps.
  5. I agree that polls can be taken to the extreme, and usually are. I've been a member of the www.camaroz28.com board since '98 and now I seldom even visit the board, this being one reason. I like the old saying about "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", but I guess progress progrreses.
  6. I have to agree with Big Player; although I'm a relative newbie to the board I've read many of your posts. Surely you're not leaving the board completely. We need good members like you.
  7. Maybe a redundant answer, but are all the roms selected and showing in the configuration box ? I've had the best experience with Atari800Win so far, with very few problems. [ 06-09-2002: Message edited by: zraider ]

    Great Links !

I've never seen so many great links anywhere as on this board. Thanks to all members for all the info on this board and the great links. [ 06-09-2002: Message edited by: zraider ] [ 06-09-2002: Message edited by: zraider ]
  9. 'Just wondering how rare the Glib cartridge is. There's one on Ebay with a buy now of $500. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1358281850. Is this even a game?
  10. Despite the previous replies, I have to add, this is the silliest ideal I've ever heard of !!!! I'm "The Chef" and I need new ideals. Anyone out there have any ? I really need a new 4 blade knife for cutting celery. Any ideals would be appreciated. Let's get real here. This person must be from outer space, or else has been in a time warp. JMHO...

    7800 vs 2600

At the risk of sounding really stupid, why would anyone who doesn't already own a 2600 get one over a 7800 when the 7800 can use both carts ? I'm not that familiar with either system so forgive my stupidity, but I just don't see getting a 2600 unless there are some advantages that aren't that obvious.
  12. I appreciate the suggestions and am pursuing all of these options and more. And yes, you're right, PayPal is not going to be much help. It doesn't look very good at this point though. Seller basically took my money and ran. Seller is soulonmyboots ([email protected]). I have no ideal why some people can't just have some honor and follow through on things. 13. I paid for an item on Ebay (I made an offer and the seller ended the auction early) through PayPal TWO TIMES ! Once through my checking account and once through my credit card. The checking account was showing "reversed", and the seller and I both saw it and conversed about it; that's when I paid with the credit card. Now both transactions have processed and I'm out double a lot of money. The bad thing too is that the seller is in Canada. We have e-mailed each other regarding this situation and he last stated he would "contact PayPal". I contacted PayPal and all he has to do is refund one of the payments, no need to contact PayPal at all. I'm now waiting to see what happens. PayPal was not that helpful this morning when I talked with them. Do I have any recourse here at all ? I realize I can file a formal complaint with PayPal, but the money is gone, and it's up to the seller to refund it, PayPal's not going to do anything. Any suggestions appreciated. Some of the really dumb situations I get into !!!!!!!!!! [ 05-30-2002: Message edited by: zraider ]
  14. 'Got the 'new' Atari system with drive and found it's the original disk drive that just doesn't work. At least all my work putting the new pins in the 800 I had weren't for naught, as it works fine with that 800. Anyway, could trouble shoot more when I have time, as this old unit does have discrete electronics, but it'll have to wait for a rainy day. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
  15. I've used Paypal with my credit card since 1999, never had one problem. But every time I log on to that site, they urge me to become verified. Like an idiot, I finally did last weekend; I added my banking information. Very big mistake ! I made a purchase on an auction and paid with it through PayPal; they draft my checking account instead of my credit card, and then later, the transaction shows "reversed". Okay fine, I go back and pay the seller with my credit card. Well, guess what; a couple of days later, I have 2 payments to the same seller, one from my checking account and one from my credit card. I've written PayPal and received back something like a primer on how to use PayPal, although I've used it for over 2 years with no problems. My primer is this. Stay unverified. Do not place you banking information on this site. Their customer service is severely lacking ($$ are all they care about), and you're treated as though you're the one who made the mistake. The seller verified to me that he too saw the reversed status initially for the transaction. I've been in touch with him and he's supposed to give them a call, as I am. Whatever you do, do not give PayPal your banking information. You're totally at their mercy and once a transfer is initiated you have no control over it any longer. I hope this helps someone. I was sure a sucker for this.
  16. Looks like an exceptional buy; don't see any bids, but you've still got a long time on the auction. I would expect you to get a 'buy now' any time.
  17. If you back off some of that address you get a message stating "future home of www.paypal1.com". Who knows if this is real ? http://207.150.221.93/ws-paypal1c/ [ 05-26-2002: Message edited by: zraider ]
  18. Check this out. Lots of dups though, at first glance nothing rare jumps out.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...indexURL=0&rd=1.
  19. 'Was bidding on an 800 with 2 drives, thought I had it all the way, then was outbid in the last few minutes by $1.00 !!! 'Guess this'll teach me to keep better track of things ! With 15 minutes left I logged off and did some things around the house, came back a short time later and the auction was ended, and I wasn't the winner. Oh well, win some, lose some........ 20. Thanks. This may be somewhat dated, but it sure gives a starting point, which is all I wanted. 'Helps add a little perspective to auctions on Ebay. Things there seem to get overpriced so quickly at times. [ 05-26-2002: Message edited by: zraider ]
  21. Is there a listing anywhere (or did I miss it here ) of the "going values" of different cartridges ? I realize this can be a very subjective thing, but usually from watching Ebay, buying carts from members, commercial sites, etc..., surely there's a way to come up with the current "value" of a cart. Thanks. [ 05-25-2002: Message edited by: zraider ]
  22. Your site is not working correctly. I tried to order and I get carried to la-la land. What gives ?
  23. NO SALE !! Didn't meet reserve ! Probably had it set at $1200 anyway. We'll see it at a later date, maybe marketed differently and with more great comments. Greedy, greedy !!
  24. He didn't meet his reserve so I guess he'll try again later . Good luck at that price !
  25. Is this for real !!!???? Ebay actually lets panhandlers ply their trade ? This is really good. Yeh, if I could just get everyone who looked at my ad to send $1.00, I'd be doing okay too, probably wouldn't be worrying about any GameCube though !
