  3. Pac-Man boxed - $1 Sears Video Arcade II (same as Atari 2800) + box - $20 Playstation + controller (first rev with RCA outs... audiophiles say that this a great player for CD's!) - $4 Harmon Kardon tape deck - front loads tapes flat like VCR - $5 Hanimex 8mm/Super 8 projector... completely new & pristine - $5 I'm gonna have the most "multi" multi-media room ever!
  4. Jakks Atari joystick - $1.50 Tiger LCD Pinball from '89 - .75 Atari 400 computer - $2 Coleco multi-game plug & play from Technosource - $1 totally unrelated, but I also scored a 16mm nursing film for $1, and an ADS amplifier & tuner (these were considered very high end in the 80's) for $25. That's a helluva find.
  5. I've always wanted a GC keyboard, but I never saw one here in the states. Who sold it here? I would have loved one for Animal Crossing.
  6. There was a downloadable demo-movie for the newest Metroid game, but I haven't seen anything like that since.
  7. If you ever consider selling off just the two add-on games (not the rifle one), feel free to drop me a line. Thanks!
  8. I never thought about it before, but I guess that it's several. I also have an Atari Video Music hooked up full time, and I've been playing a bunch of old LED games lately (I just got Tron and a a TomyTronic game in a little arcade cabinet)... but that's not the question. When enough people are over, I'll bust out Ultra Pong IV (four controllers and a gorgeous gradiated colored background. I've also been playing the video pinball console lately, and I used to play a lot of O2. It took years for me to find the voice synthesizer, and now that I have one I haven't hooked it up yet! I also have the rifl for the original Odyssey, and that used to see some play. if nothing else, it alarmed the neighbors.
  9. Weird - there were whole mess of Game Boy Color games at one of my haunts. I have a flash cart, so I passed (at least until half price day!). The same place had a Game Cube Wario game (not the microgames collection, something else) for $2.50. I've found a handful of GC cases that never had anything inside, so this is my first GC score. My girlfriend just bought a used Game Cube as a Christmas present for $40 at GameStop. I'll bet that in a few months, they'll blow out Game Cubes for $15 like they did Dreamcasts. Then I'll pick up a couple to monkey with Linux and modding and all that!
  10. I'm usually patient to a fault, but now you're officially killing me too Albert. I'm a sucker for anything with synth speech. If the holiday cart is going to be another freebie with a $50 order, you're making it really easy to spend money on Atari this year!
  11. Uh-oh... what Doctor Who themed game did I miss?
  12. Sears Arcade II, oddball controllers + box (same as Atari 2800) - $23 (I've only ever seen two of these in real life!) Zelda board game - $1.50
  13. Whoa - 2 Wii remotes for $30? These were at a thrift already?
  14. Interesting that Dr. Love found one of those old GoVideo dual deck VCR... In the last couple of weeks I've picked up two of them for $5 each. No remote. Don't know what in the hell I got 'em for. I've got a stack of VCR's for duplication as part of my video production business, and no client has wanted VHS service from me for the last few years. I guess that I just wanted to see them in action. Found "The Sims" for Game Cube for $2.50 (only the second time I've seen GC stuff at a thrift, and this time it wasn't completely destroyed). Also got a VERY dusty Intellivision in one of those storage thingies. No wonder it's been sitting there for more than a year - they had it priced at $75. It was their Christmas party at the thrift today, and 50 percent off of everything, adn they love me over there... so I walked out with the thing for $20. Check out what all was inside: CIB (incl. overlays) Auto Racing Triple Action Sea Battle Las Vegas Blackjack Space Battle Pitfall (incl pricetag, orig receipt for $26.97, & childishly scrawled high score sheet) - cart + overlays Major League Baseball NFL Football Blackjack Space Battle Auto Racing Boxing Space Armada Astrosmash Donkey Kong Big pile of docs & overlays Orig instructions Vectrex sales brochure! I haven't seen an Intellivision in years, so this was a surprise!
  15. I reviewed it at Retro Thing if you want to have a sort of "inside look". Click HERE for the review
  16. A LaserActive? Nice! I'd love to find one of those someday... LMK know if you need LD movies. I've got tons of dupes.
  17. Wario Ware stuff is good for parties (though you've got to get people over the idea that not understanding what in the hell you're supposed to do the first few times you see a game is part of the fun). You could pick up the Game Cube Wario Wares party game pretty cheap these days. Not only do you have all those crazy games, but the other players can actually appear on screen to compete against you and even try to mess you up! Tremendous fun. The Game Cube Monkey Ball games are good party games too as they include a pretty basic bowling game, racer, boxing, etc.
  18. You've got to also include Warlords - just gotta! Especially if you bring over another set of paddles, playing four people Warlords is tremendous fun. Of course the new AA Medieval Mayhem would be a close second too.
  19. Score today. Wow. Still kind of can't believe it. It was in the near Chicago suburb where I grew up - I was visiting my mother and decided to go to a very divey Salvation Army where they never have anything. These are the days it pays to turn up every rock. All of this was $20 NES system, controllers, zapper, AC U-force controller (all games were in sleeve with docs) M.C. Kids - McDonald's tie-in game Spider Man: Return of the Sinister Six The Simpsons: Bart Vs. The Space Mutants T&C Surf Designs Operation Wolf Tiny Toon Adventures Heavy Shreddin' Quarto 4 in 1: f-16 renegade, cj's elephant antics, Go! Dizzy Go!, Stunt Buggies Pro Wrestling Super Mario 2 Abadox Zelda - grey cart... never seen one of those before Track & Field II Spy Vs. Spy Kung Fu Sky Shark TMNT Destination Earthstar Dr. Mario Metalstorm The Hunt for Red October Super Mario 3 The Simpsons: Bart Versus The World Super Mario/Duck Hunt Rocketeer Ice Hockey Hydlide Zany Golf (for Genesis... one of my fave games on the Amiga) Now I've got to find a rarity guide and see if any of the ones I've not heard of are worth some green. any recommendations besides DP?
  20. Whoa. Isn't Panzer Dragoon worth tons of money - like $50-100? Or is that the sequel game I'm thinking of?
  21. I bought a MEGA controller back in the day. The LCD has a built in game, almost like a Nintendo game & watch, which as you played & improved your score, would net you better settings (turbo/slow-mo/etc) for which to use in actual NES games. Kind of a weird little option for a controller, I think the only one of it's kind until the dreamcast controllers came out with the memory plug-ins & playable games. Awesome! I'll have to try to play with it before I pitch it into the bottomless storage space of doom... Thanks for the info - there was nothing I could find about it on the net.
  22. A swell day for thrifting - and not just because it's 62 degrees in Chicago in November. I got a couple of deals inside the store's since it's half-price day, but I found some great stuff while driving down the street. There was a lady putting various familiar shaped things by the trash, so I got a ton of great fun freebies! Thrift: Zelda board game - $1 N64 - Killer Instinct - $1 NES Little Mermaid - $2 NES Cabal - $2 SNES Primal Rage - $2 SNES Shaq-Fu - $2 SNES Mortal Kombat 3 - $2 SNES Royal Rumble - $1 (what was I thinking?) There were at least a dozen more sports SNES titles, but I'm not a big fan. Maybe if they were like 90 percent off. SNES console - $3 ton of old cassingles - .25 ea. reel to reel home recorded tapes - $1 ea. Garbagepicked (i.e. FREE!): Craftsman 12 v cordless drill - hacked to be corded after battery pack died! JVC VHS-C camera with many access, and a half dozen tapes JVC S-VHS deck - I still use these professionally, and are still great to have around
  23. Dreamcast console + some fishing game- $3 All at $2.50 a throw SNES TMNT IV Turtles in Time Street Fighter II Turbo Super Punch Out NES Ghosts 'N Goblins (can't believe that I never had this before...) Totally Rad SNES cleaner - a buck left behind a SNES system for $12 & a PS1 for $8. I'll wait for half-price day. I did get a crazy painting from the 60's with holes drilled in it for Christmas lights - it was sold that way, it isn't some home project. I've seen a similar painting once before. Insane.
  24. Hadn't really done the rounds this week, but f9ound a few things anyway. That's my life, I guess. Dreamcast console, 2x controllers (1 clear yellow with matching VMU), 2x games - $6 N64 Rampage - $2 DC - Silent Scope - $2 PS - Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey - $2 PS - Atari Anniversary Redux - $2 SNES - Out Of This World - $1.50 Atari - Pressure Cooker - $1 (never had the cart before for some reason) NES - Airwolf - $1 NES - Sansui "Joycard" controller, looks might cheap - $1 NES - MEGA controller (crazy thing takes batteries and has an LCD control panel for memorizing moves) - $1
  25. I did a full review on my website at Retro Thing. Here's a link: http://www.retrothing.com/2006/12/review_sega_cla.html
